Casing for a plant or plant pot

Abstract

A casing 20 for holding a plant or plant pot in a plant space 25 comprises an outer shell 30 and an inner shell 40. A water reservoir 60 is formed between the outer shell 30 and inner shell 40 with a water channel 50 between the shells to fill the water reservoir. A water inlet 110 to the water channel 50 has a lid or filter 120. The casing can include a pump 80 with a pipe 90 to an outlet 100 to water the plant space. An electronic control system (ECS) 150 includes a sensor for detecting the water level in the water reservoir such as a float, capacitive, vibrating level, conductive or ultrasonic switch. The control system can include ambient sensors for light and temperature. Real-time remote control and monitoring is over wireless link with a security camera facing away from the casing and a plant camera facing towards the plant space to monitor plant status. Power source can be from solar panels, rechargable batteries 260 and connection to external sources.
