Mobile Phone Case with Interchangeable Back Panels which attach Magnetically and secure with an integrated camera lip Clasp Mechanism. Field of the Invention: This invention relates to a protective mobile phone case, specifically a modular phone case system that allows attachment / detachment of interchangeable back panels / cover and / or plates (all terms refer to the same component). The case incorporates a magnetic ring centred on the mobile phone case base and corresponding magnetic elements on the back cover which in co-operation of a clasp mechanism that is integrated into the camera lip / bezel / bump and / or lens (all terms refer to the same component), secure the back cover component resulting to a seamless flush fit inside the base recess. Background of the Invention: Conventional phone cases provide basic protection but lack versatility in terms of customisation and added functionality. While magnetic cases and modular systems exist, they often require bulky designs or compromise security. The present invention aims to enhance the user experience by providing a slim, secure, and easily interchangeable phone case with a focus on protecting the mobile device from all sides including front / back / top / bottom sides and camera module protection. Traditional phone cases often lack the ability to easily change their aesthetic or functional features, resulting in a limited user experience. The present invention addresses these challenges by offering a phone case design that allows users to interchange back panels with ease, utilising a magnetic attachment system for secure and reliable connections. The present invention incorporates a clasp mechanism which is built into the camera lip / bezel / bump or and lens protector specifically designed to hold additional back covers and secure the joined components. The design promotes sustainability by allowing users to change only the back cover instead of replacing the entire mobile phone case, reducing waste and considering the environment. This invention promotes interaction between the users of these phone cases as they can swap / exchange back covers when the mobile case size is the same. Summary of the Invention: The present invention introduces a phone case system that allows users to easily swap back panels / cover and or plates using a combination of a magnetic ring and a clasp mechanism located on the raised camera lip of the case. This design provides enhanced protection for the camera while ensuring the back panels remain securely attached. Key Features of the Invention: l.Base Phone Case: The phone case comprises a base structure made of durable material such as TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and hard plastic. The case consists of a sturdy back coverthat protects the phone's rear and sides. These materials are used to ensure robust protection against impacts and scratches. This phone case has a slim design recess which allows the interchangeable back cover / panel or and plates to snap on without adding bulk into its design. The mobile phone case can still be used without the back covers; however, it won't provide enhance protection around the camera lip and it will showcase the device as it has a clear back. The interior of the base is contoured to fit smartphone models snugly, providing a secure fit that allows for easy installation and removal of the device. The base includes cutouts for access to essential features such as buttons, ports, and cameras, ensuring that the functionality of the phone remains un-compromised. The phone case base has raised edges on the front side to protect the screen from scratches and cracks. The case incorporates an airbag protection system consisting of compartments strategically positioned within the walls of the case. These compartments are designed to expand upon impact, creating a cushioning effect that absorbs shock and disperses the energy from a drop. The airbag compartments are engineered to remain lightweight and unobtrusive, maintaining the slim profile of the case while providing superior impact protection. The corners of the phone case feature reinforced cushioning structures made from a high-density material. These corner cushions are specifically designed to absorb the majority of impact forces that typically occur during a drop, as corners are the most likely areas to make contact with surfaces. The cushioning is seamlessly integrated into the overall design, ensuring that it does not detract from the aesthetic appeal of the case. Optional attachments such as a wrist / neck strap or lanyards can be included for added convenience and security by using the inserts placed on the side of the phone case base. The phone case's base has a raised ridge on the edge of the camera lip that holds a clasp. This ridge forms a secure boundary where the back cover attaches. The clasp mechanism is built into this lip specifically designed to hold additional back covers. The case incorporates a magnetic ring which ensures a quick, secure, easy swap of back panels / covers without the need of any tools. The magnetic attachment mechanism utilises high-strength magnetic rings to ensure that the back cover remains securely attached to the base during regular use. 2.Magnetic Ring and / or Magnetic Attachment Mechanism: Embedded within the base case is a magnetic ring surrounding the phone's central back area. This ring creates a magnetic field that allows the attachment of interchangeable back panels equipped with corresponding magnetic elements. The magnetic connection ensures a quick, convenient attachment while maintaining a slim profile. The phone case can still be used with all magnetic accessories such as wireless fast chargers, magnetic wallets and or cardholders, magnetic kickstands, battery packs and other accessories that incorporate a magnetic ring. The magnetic attachment mechanism utilises high-strength magnets to ensure that the back cover remains securely attached to the base during regular use. The design incorporates a system of alignment guides to assist users in easily aligning the back cover with the base during attachment. Further, to the alignment guides the magnetic rings features the logo / brand / trademark technology of this invention, meaning it's printed on the magnetic rings. The two magnetic rings are designed to mirror each other and help spotting the way that the back panel / cover should be attached on the phone case base. The back panel or / and cover is designed to magnetically attach to the main housing through a magnetic ring, ensuring a secure and seamless fit. Unlike bulky modular systems, this design maintains a sleek profile while offering versatile functionality. The back panel / cover will fit in the recess of the phone case and only the camera bezel / lip / lens and or bump protection would be raised once the two parts; mobile phone case base and mobile phone case cover / panel or and plate have been attached together as the camera protector is integrated on the back cover. The magnet ring of the phone case base and phone case cover align, and this magnetic attachment system allows for quick and effortless swapping of back covers, enabling users to customise their phone case according to their mood, outfit, or occasion without needing tools. The design promotes sustainability by allowing users to change only the back cover instead of replacing the entire mobile phone case, reducing waste. Users that have the same phone case model and phone case size can swap back covers. The magnetic ring is installed on a recess of the mobile phone case base which altogether works seamlessly once the two components phone case base and phone case cover or else called interchangeable back panel connect with the reinforce of the magnet attraction. The magnets are arranged in a circular configuration, ensuring proper alignment of the back cover with the base, allowing for smooth and effortless attachment as well as a seamless fit. The phone case base and cover contain corresponding magnets that are aligned in such a way that when the cover is brought near the base, they attract and lock into place. The strength of the magnets is carefully calibrated to provide a firm grip, keeping the cover securely attached to the base during regular use. This magnetic force ensures the cover doesn't easily detach, even when handled frequently. While the magnets offer a strong hold, they are designed to allow easy detachment when needed. This balance of strength and flexibility enables the cover to be removed with a simple pull, without requiring excessive force. The magnets are engineered to be safe for use with the phone's hardware, ensuring that they do not interfere with wireless charging, sensors, or other internal components. The Magnetic ring is utilised to allow users snap on any other magnetic accessories on demand such as wireless chargers, magnetic wallets etc. 3.Integrated Clasp Mechanism on Camera Lip / Lens / Bump or and Bezel: In addition to the magnetic attachment, a mechanical clasp system is integrated into the raised camera lip. The camera lip includes small, precisely designed tabs that align with corresponding slots on the interchangeable back panels. When the back panel is placed onto the phone case, the protrusions engage with the clasp, providing a "click-on" locking effect for extra security. The clasp near the camera lip works by securely attaching and locking into place with modular / interchangeable and / or replaceable back covers. It is a snap-on mechanism allowing easy attachment and detachment of different back covers. The clasp system often doubles the protection of the camera lenses. Since the clasp is integrated into the raised lip around the camera of the back cover and it ensures that when covers are added the lenses remain protected from scratches or impacts. A click-on mechanism in this phone case design refers to a secure attachment system where the back cover, clicks or snaps into place on the base of the phone case. The phone case's base has a raised ridge, around the one edge of the camera, that holds a clasp. The modular / interchangeable back cover is designed with protrusions that align with the clasp on the base case. When the back cover is pressed into place, the clasp "clicks" into the slots, locking the cover securely. There is a snapping action meaning that as you push the back cover towards the case base, the mechanism clicks as the parts interlock, giving a satisfying sound and feel. This ensures that the cover is firmly in place and won't easily detach on its own. To release or remove the back cover, you have to grab the raised camera lip located on the phone case back cover and gentle pull the back cover disengaging the clips / protrusion clasps. The cover then "un-clicks" and comes off. This click-on mechanism provides a secure, modular connection, allowing users to swap out or change back covers while ensuring that the cover remains firmly attached during regular use along with the magnet attraction. A breakdown of the Clasp System Mechanism with Ridge and Recess for Interchangeable Panel on Phone Case Base. This design of this phone case and the technical feature / invention describes a clasp system mechanism that utilises a combination of a ridge and recess for securely attaching and detaching an interchangeable back panel on a phone case. The clasp system is designed specifically around the phone's camera area, ensuring that the interchangeable panel aligns precisely without obstructing the camera or its functions. Components: (A). Ridge (Protrusion) on Camera Housing on the Phone Case Base: •The ridge is a raised, segmented edge that runs on one edge of the phone's camera module of the phone case base. • It is precisely contoured to match the shape of the camera housing, ensuring that the back panel / cover attaches in a snug, secure manner. •The height and thickness of the ridge are designed to allow for a firm grip when the panel is engaged but remain low-profile to avoid bulkiness. (B). Recess on the Interchangeable Back Panel: •The interchangeable panel features a matching recess (groove) along its underside, designed to engage with the ridge on the camera housing. •The recess is dimensioned slightly largerthan the ridge, allowing the panel to slide overthe ridge and snap into place and sit flush into the recess. •The recess ensures the panel is properly aligned and securely attached, maintaining a flush surface with the rest of the phone case. (C). Clasp System Mechanism: •The ridge and recess work as a locking mechanism where the panel is pressed down and slides or clicks into place over the ridge. •Tension points or locking tabs are incorporated into the recess to create a firm hold when the panel is snapped over the ridge, preventing accidental detachment. •The clasp system ensures the panel remains securely fixed during daily use while allowing for easy removal when needed by applying slight upward force to release it. (D). Guided Alignment: •To avoid misalignment, additional guide, wording such as logo of the brand, is printed on the camera ridge of the phone case base and the camera lens protector of the back cover to assist with precise positioning as users should match the positions of the two printed logos. This ensures that the panel aligns perfectly with the camera housing and other key components. •These guide features, combined with the ridge and recess, create a seamless attachment process. (E). Detachment Mechanism: •To remove the panel, the user can apply pressure to a designated release point on the panel, where the ridge-recess engagement is less tight. This is an indentation or tab along the edge of the camera lip on the back cover, allowing the user to easily lift the panel away from the base. •The panel may slide slightly to disengage the ridge from the recess before being lifted off, ensuring smooth and user-friendly operation. 4.Interchangeable and / or Replaceable Back Panels / Cover / Plates: The back panels / covers and / or plates are designed to be easily attached and removed, providing users with the ability to switch between various styles, colours, patterns and textures. Users can still use all the magnetic accessories (e.g., a kickstand, wallet, extra battery pack and other accessories). Each panel is equipped with magnetic components and slots / recess on the camera lip that align with the camera ridge of the phone case base for secure, stable attachment and seamless fit. Interchangeable back panels are embedded with corresponding magnetic elements, attach seamlessly to the case through magnetic attraction, ensuring quick and easy swapping of panels. Each back panel / cover attaches to the base case using the camera clasp system, ensuring a tight and stable connection without the risk of this to become loose if / when someone accidentally drops the mobile phone device. For clarity, both the phone case base and the phone case back cover have a small protrusions clasp integrated on the camera lip. These two clasps when joined together aim on the back cover to seamlessly secure and enhance camera lens protection, functionality and customisation on demand. For clarity, both the base case and the base cover have magnetic components / rings and together with the clasp mechanism and the ridge-recess engagement coincide a seamless fit meaning the two components perfectly alight and match each other, creating a smooth, uninterrupted integration without faps or inconsistencies. This implies that the design and structure of the one component / element completes the other precisely, resulting in an ideal and cohesive appearance and function. Users with the same mobile phone model and phone case base size can share and swap back panels. 5.Secure Dual-Locking System The combination of the magnetic ring and the clasp mechanism creates a dual-locking system. The magnets offer ease of attachment, while the clasp ensures the back panel remains firmly in place during regular use, preventing accidental detachment during drops or impacts. 6.Camera Protection: The raised camera lip, aside from housing the clasp, provides enhanced protection for the phone's camera module. The lip ensures that the lenses do not come into contact with surfaces when placed face-up and maintains structural integrity during back panel removal or installation. The height of the raised edges is carefully engineered to provide maximum protection while preventing interference with the camera's functionality, such as focusing and flash operation. The raised area is textured and absorbs impact and reduce the risk of damage from drops. The raised camera protection on the phone case cover is also used as a grip for the phone case cover to easily be removed / detached from the phone case base when required. Both the camera lip of the phone case base and the phone case cover are utilised for the brand's name / logo to be printed on. 7.Airbag Protection and Corner Cushions: An airbag protection system on a phone case meaning a specialised design feature aimed at absorbing shock and reducing damage during a drop. This concept mimics the functionality of car airbags, which cushion impacts to protect passengers. In the context of a phone case, "airbag" protection involves; Cushioned Corners: which are reinforced corners. Shock-Absorbing Materials meaning the walls of the case have been made of materials like TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and silicone, which are both flexible and durable, helping to dissipate shock. This technology helps with compressing the impact, absorbing force, and preventing damage to the phone device. 8.Precise cutouts and cover on the buttons: These are carefully crafted openings in the phone case that align perfectly with the phone's ports, camera lenses, speakers, microphones and lanyards inserts. This allows users to access to all the phone's features (charging, audio, camera, etc.) without having to remove the case. Well-made cutouts are tailored to the specific phone model, ensuring they do not interfere with audio quality, photo-taking, or accessibility to the ports. This phone case incorporates covered buttons meaning that instead of leaving the volume, power, and other side buttons exposed, they feature of covered buttons which are raised areas that protect the buttons from dust, dirt, and damage while still allowing them to be pressed easily. The covered buttons maintain tactile feedback, meaning they still feel responsive and clicky, as if you're pressing the actual button. 9.Materials used, anti-slip and anti-yellowing technology: By combining TPU with acrylic materials, we aim to enhance the clarity and anti-yellowing properties, with each material layer supporting the other's strength and longevity. There is no unnecessary bulk or visible edges of the back cover once that has been attached. • Notes: The logo is featured on the phone case camera ridge and refers to the brand. Figure 14: • Description: A rear view of phone case base showing without the back panel attached on the phone case base. • Purpose: To illustrate a mechanical clasp mechanism, integrated into the base portion, to be more specific on the edge of the camera lip ridge of the phone case base which engages with a corresponding clasp on the interchangeable back cover to lock it in place when fully attached, ensuring additional security and preventing accidental detachment of the back cover during use; the ridge will perfectly fit into the camera bump recess of the phone case back cover to result into a unified complete phone case. The design assists users to easily attach / detach the back covers without compromising the safety of the phone device and without the risk or the back cover being detach when an impact / drop occurs. From the rear side the recess of the phone case base is shown clearly which ensures that the back panel sit flush with the case surface, preventing them from protruding. This reduces wear and tear, as these elements are less likely to be scratched or damaged. The recess is precisely measured to fit the thickness and shape of the back panel or elements within it such as the camera bump / lip / bezel or / and lens protector. By keeping the back panel or external elements slightly below the case's surface, the recess adds an extra layer of protection when the phone is placed on flat surfaces, reducing direct contact with those surfaces. The recess creates a clean, streamlined look, preventing bulky or awkward protrusions. The magnetic ring also sits on a recess which altogether works seamlessly once the two components phone case base and phone case cover or else called interchangeable back panel connect with the reinforce of the magnetic attraction. • Notes: The magnetic rings of the phone case back cover will be illustrated and described in more depth on the rest of the Figures.
