FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of greeting cards and stationery products, and more particularly, to greeting cards with integrated functional elements that serve a dual purpose as both a greeting card and, for exmaple, a personal care tool. BACKGROUND
[0002] Greeting cards have long been a popular means of conveying messages of goodwill, celebration, or sympathy. These cards typically consist of folded paper or cardstock with printed designs and messages, serving primarily as a vehicle for personal communication. The greeting card industry has traditionally focused on creating visually appealing and emotionally resonant products that are used once and then often discarded or stored away.

2. The greeting card of claim 1, wherein at least one of a first face of the front cover, a second face of the front cover, a first face of the rear cover, and a second face of the rear cover comprise an abrasive surface.
3. The greeting card of claim 2, further comprising a printed design, slogan, motif, or logos on at least one of the faces of the front and rear covers.
4. The greeting card of claims 2 or 3, further comprising decorative patches or badges applied to at least one of the faces of the front and rear covers.
5. The greeting card of any of claims 2 to 4, wherein the abrasive surface is selected from a group consisting of wood, ceramic, metal, corundum, glass, emery, corundite, stiff card, and plastic.
6. The greeting card of any of claims 2 to 5, wherein at least one face of the front or rear covers comprises a different roughness level to another face of the front or rear overs.
7. The greeting card of claim 6, wherein the first face of the front cover and the second face of the front cover comprise an abrasive surface, wherein the abrasive surface of the first face of the front cover has a first roughness and the abrasive surface fo the second face of the front cover has a second roughness, wherein the first roughness is higher than the second roughness.
8. The greeting card of claim 7, wherein the first roughness is selected from a range of 80 to 4000 grit.
9. The greeting card of any of claims 1 to 8, wherein the detachable segments comprise attachment means, the attachment means being at least one of:separation perforations arranged vertically or horizontally relative to the hinge; and / or an adhesive.
10. The greeting card of any of claims 1 to 9, wherein the plurality of detachable segments comprise different sizes.
11. A method of manufacturing a greeting card with detachable segments, comprising:forming a front cover;forming a rear cover;creating a plurality of detachable segments forming at least one of the front and rear covers, the plurality of detachable segments configured to be detached from the greeting card; andhingedly connecting the front and rear covers to enable the greeting card to be opened and closed.
12. The method of claim 11, further comprising applying an abrasive surface to at least one of a first face of the front cover, a second face of the front cover, a first face of the rear cover, and a second face of the rear cover.
13. The method of claim 12, further comprising applying at least one of a printed design, slogan, motif, or logo to at least one of the faces of the front and rear covers after application of the abrasive surface.
14. The method of any of claims 12 or 13, further comprising applying decorative patches or badges to at least one of the faces of the front and rear covers after application of the abrasive surface.
15. The method of any of claims 12 to 14, wherein the abrasive surface is selected from a group consisting of wood, ceramic, metal, corundum, glass, emery, corundite, stiff card, and plastic.
16. The method of any of claims 12 to 15, wherein at least one face of the front or rear cover comprises a different roughness level to another face of the front or rear covers.

The method of claim 16, further comprising applying an abrasive surface to the first face of the front cover and the second face of the front cover, wherein the abrasive surface of the first face of the front cover has a first roughness and the abrasive surface of the second face of the front cover has a second roughness, wherein the first roughness is higher than the second roughness.
18. The method of claim 16, wherein the first roughness is selected from a range of 80 to 4000 grit.
