Abstract
A system for determining a route through a section of road takes a representation of at least a first and second lane (2901 and 2903, Figure 30) associated with that section 2801 and determines a descriptor that can be attached to the representation of each lane. These descriptors are used as inputs in a trained model that generates an output indicating whether the first or second lane has priority 2803. This indication is stored in the map of the road segment 2805, and the map is distributed to a vehicle navigation system 2807 to direct the vehicle as it drives through the road segment. [Figure 28]
