Heat acclimation apparatus

Abstract

A heat acclimation apparatus 1 comprising a portable chamber 2, preferably of flexible material such as memory foam, housing a cycle ergometer 4, preferably a recumbent cycle ergometer, wherein the chamber has a sealable opening 6, preferably with zips, allowing a user ingress into and egress from the chamber to access the cycle ergometer for exercise, an aperture defining a collar (8, fig.3) allowing a user's head to pass through and remain unenclosed by the chamber in use and a heating means, preferably a far infrared panel 14, to elevate the internal temperature of the chamber. The chamber may include further openings 12 allowing a display screen of the cycle ergometer to pass through, and / or allowing a user’s arms to pass through. The apparatus may include a steam generator and an extractor fan to control the temperature and / or humidity of the internal environment of the chamber. Figure 1
