Mounting arrangement for an electric vehicle charger

Abstract

A mounting arrangement for an electric vehicle charger 100 having an installation plate 10 and a plurality of apertures (28a-d, figure 1) in the plate for receiving screw fixings. Hook members 16a-b are disposed on the face of the plate for supporting and laterally retaining the charger, and there is an upward facing docking connector 11 for electrically connecting the charger to a power supply. The docking connector has guide means (26a-b, figure 1) for guiding the charger into a desired position for contacting the docking connector, and there is a locking means for retaining the charger in position on the installation plate. A charging system comprising the mounting arrangement, and a method of installing a charging station for electric vehicles are also disclosed. The docking connector may be mounted on a flange (14, figure 1) extending outwardly from the installation plate.
