Vacuum cleaner

Abstract

A vacuum cleaner with a suction motor comprising: an upstream separator 209; a downstream separator with a filter with an agitator; a bin enclosing upstream and downstream separators with an open end and a door on another end; where the door selectively closes a chamber associated with the upstream separator and a separate chamber associated with the upstream separator. Ideally the vacuum cleaner is hand held with a pistol grip inclined at 10-20 degrees from the separator axis; the filter is pleated paper surrounding a U shaped interior; the filter is the same length as the primary separator; there is a agitator moving in a closed path around the filter to dislodge dirt and regenerate it when the suction motor is off; the filter is cantilevered, only supported at one end; there is a looming conduit between the separators to contain wiring.
