Abstract
Connector Wire Testing Machine is a tensile strength testing machine for cable and terminal connections that works automatically and is integrated between mechanical systems, force measurement, motion control, and data recording. The machine consists of a DC motor-based pulling mechanism, cable and connector clamping units, load cell-based force sensors, and a programmable control unit. Unlike conventional tensile testers that rely on manual operation and force indicator readings, this system implements sensor feedback-based pulling speed control so that the pulling rate is maintained constant throughout the testing process. During the test, the tensile force is monitored continuously and the maximum force value is automatically determined as a parameter for evaluating the quality of the cable connection. Tests show that the system is capable of measuring tensile forces over the industrial cable testing range with stable readings and consistent repeatability. The machine automatically generates a pass / fail decision based on specified parameters without operator interpretation. Computer software is used to set test parameters, visualize force-time graphs, and record test results in a database. The integration of motion control, real-time force measurement, automatic quality control, and data storage in a single system allows the tool to be used as a quality testing tool in cable and wiring harness production processes in the electronics and automotive manufacturing industries.
