Abstract
This product is a shade guide (color sample) used to obtain information such as the color, brightness, and saturation of a patient's unbroken teeth in order to determine the color tone of the material to be used for the patient's teeth. This product consists of 18 stick-attached color samples, each of which has a stick and an artificial tooth, three auxiliary devices simulating gums, three auxiliary retainers, and a retainer. The auxiliary devices are formed with six recesses that come into contact with the cervical part of the artificial teeth of the stick-attached color sample, six through holes through which the sticks of the stick-attached color sample penetrate, and six windows for visually checking the color information displayed on the sticks of the stick-attached color sample. The auxiliary retainer has an insertion port through which the sticks of the stick-attached color sample are inserted. The retainer has three holding ports for holding the auxiliary retainer. The auxiliary device can hold six stick-attached color samples with the artificial teeth in contact with the recesses and the sticks penetrating the through holes. The auxiliary retainer can hold the auxiliary retainer and the color sample display tool in contact with the auxiliary retainer by inserting the end of the stick of the color sample with the stick in a state where the artificial tooth is in contact with the recess and the stick is inserted into the through hole into the insertion port. The 18 color sample display tools can be held in different positions within the same auxiliary retainer or between different auxiliary retainers. The three auxiliary retainers can be held in the retainer by changing their positions. The user of this product brings the six artificial teeth with sticks held by the auxiliary retainer removed from the retainer close to the patient's teeth to be evaluated. By repeating this operation with different auxiliary retainers, the user can select the artificial tooth with the color that is closest to the tooth, and determine the color tone of the material to be used for the patient's teeth.
