Abstract

This tongs is made by assembling a pair of scissors, one of which is spoon-shaped and the other fork-shaped, together. A T-shaped insert part formed at the rear of one of the scissors by hollowing out both sides is inserted into a T-shaped notch formed at the rear of the other scissors from the rear edge, and the end part of the insert part is placed facing the slit part of the notch, so that the scissors can be opened and closed by resiliently swinging with the interlocking part as a fulcrum. By releasing the interlocking and separating the scissors, each of the scissors can be used separately as a spoon and a fork. The tip part of the scissors is wide enough to allow food to be put into the mouth without opening the mouth more than necessary when eating, and by using bamboo as a material for forming the scissors, the resilience is utilized to achieve the swinging action of opening and closing.
