Abstract
This article relates to an airsoft sword toy used in bare-skin swordsmanship. This "bare-skin swordsmanship" is swordsmanship against an opponent without protective gear, and is contrasted with "assistant swordsmanship," swordsmanship against an opponent wearing armor. This airsoft sword toy for bare-skin swordsmanship is composed of (1) a balloon part equivalent to a soft, bag-like blade part filled with gas, (2) a balloon attachment part having an aperture that can be fixed integrally with the lower end of the balloon part, and (3) a handle part that is attached to the balloon attachment part in the coaxial extension direction and has a thickness that can be held in the palm of the hand. The balloon part is composed of a commercially available stick balloon for cheering, and has a certain amount of tension and a metallic color that makes a loud metallic sound when it hits the balloon part of the opponent in a swordsmanship match. In addition, a wavy white tape is attached to the balloon part as a decorative blade pattern. The balloon attachment part is made of a cylindrical tube such as a PVC pipe, and the outer surface of the cylindrical tube is wrapped with a cushioning material (such as urethane foam) for impact protection. Furthermore, the handle part of this design is made of a Japanese sword (real sword), while the related design has a Japanese sword handle pattern drawn on the wooden surface, which is mainly used for practice. This design uses the technology disclosed in Patent No. 7254982, "Airsoft Sword Toy for Bare Skin Swordplay," owned by the applicant of this application.
