Antenna assembly for use in a head scanner

Abstract

This antenna assembly is fixedly used inside a head scanner (reference figure). The head scanner is a device that is worn on a patient's head to visualize the condition inside the patient's brain (particularly, the stroke area that requires emergency treatment) from the diffused microwave signals. As shown in the "reference figure", this antenna assembly forms a recess in the head scanner, and the patient's head is received here. A plurality of rectangular plates are arranged in this recess (antenna assembly). These plates send microwave signals to the patient's head and then detect the scattered microwave signals. An image is generated from the detected microwave signals.
