Abstract

The subject design is a baseball umpire's brush (Reference Perspective View 1) used by baseball umpires to remove dirt, sand, and mud from home base and the bases (first, second, and third bases). The brush features a slanted tip (Reference Perspective Views 2 and 3) with a bristle size of approximately 30 mm (synthetic resin, polypropylene with a diameter of 0.4 mm). The bristle size (Reference Perspective Views 2 and 3) is approximately 30 mm on side A, approximately 22 mm on side B, and a midpoint of 26 mm. This slant-type brush utilizes a function that allows for strong and weak brushing. The bristles are hard when brushing from side A, and soft when brushing from side B, effectively distinguishing between different uses. This partial design features a slant-type (diagonal cut) bristle tip shape suitable for all weather conditions.
