Abstract

This clamp is used to store roofing materials on a roof. It comprises a strip-shaped base, a cylindrical pole attached to the base, and an arm attached to the pole via a cylindrical runner, allowing vertical movement and rotation. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing the Usage State," multiple clamps are used. Each clamp places roofing materials on a base secured to a sheathing board or other surface with screws. The arms firmly press down on the roofing materials from above, preventing them from being blown away or falling off due to wind or other factors. The clamp features a pin protruding from the top end of the pole and a cylindrical boss on the runner facing the arm. The pin prevents the arm from slipping out, and the runner, which has an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pole, can be struck from above with a hammer or other tool to engage with the outer periphery of the pole, firmly securing the arm. The arm can also be released by striking the boss from below with a hammer or other tool. With this clamp, in particular, as shown in the "Reference enlarged view showing the boss engagement groove" and the "Reference enlarged cross-sectional view showing the engagement state of the pin and boss," by engaging the pin and boss, the arm can be temporarily fixed to the upper end of the pole, making it easier to place roofing materials on the base and lift them from the base.
