Abstract

The article to which this design relates is a toy airplane, in which each component piece is formed from a transparent acrylic plate and is properly assembled to form the shape of an airplane. In particular, as shown in the reference diagram showing the components arranged side by side, the protrusions on the fuselage to connect the main wings and horizontal stabilizers to the fuselage are offset to prevent collision between the left and right main wings and horizontal stabilizers. Therefore, upon completion, the left and right main wings and horizontal stabilizers are properly connected to the fuselage, creating a symmetrical appearance. Furthermore, while this design has a shape reminiscent of a passenger aircraft, because each component piece is formed by carving a specific shape out of acrylic plate, the fuselage is not cylindrical but plate-like, with the thickness of the acrylic plate. The core of the design's creation is the representation of the shape of a passenger aircraft by combining the plate-like components. Furthermore, a stand is connected to the bottom of the fuselage to reproduce the passenger aircraft's flight posture. The toy airplane, the article to which this design relates, is comprised of a passenger aircraft model and its connected stand. As shown in the drawing, some of the components are colored. Because the acrylic plate used is transparent, the color of the colored parts may appear different depending on the viewing angle.
