Abstract

This article is a ferrule used to connect optical fibers. As shown in the reference oblique view indicating the names of each part and the reference cross-sectional view showing the state of use, this article has an optical fiber insertion hole into which an optical fiber is inserted and a guide pin hole into which a guide pin is inserted at the front end face of the ferrule body. An internal space communicating with the multiple fiber holes and the boot insertion hole is provided at the rear end of the ferrule body. Furthermore, it has a flange portion protruding from a surface adjacent to the rear end face. The number, size, and arrangement of the optical fiber insertion hole and the guide hole are selected as appropriate depending on the design or specifications of the circuit wiring, etc.
