Warp knitted breathable tape

Abstract

This article is a breathable tape warp-knitted using a double Russell machine. The warp-knit breathable tape of this article has one band portion, another band portion, and a breathable portion made of multiple monopolymer filament yarns connecting the one band portion and the other band portion in a direction perpendicular to the band surface direction. The article can be used in a garment by inserting the article into the seam between two fabrics constituting the garment, thereby imparting breathability to the seam. As shown in Reference Cross-sectional Schematic Diagram 1, which illustrates an example of the use, the outer band portion of the article can be sewn so that it is covered by the garment fabric. Alternatively, as shown in Reference Cross-sectional Schematic Diagram 2, the outer band portion of the article can be sewn so that it is exposed from the garment fabric. Specifically, the article can be inserted, for example, at the boundary between the crown and brim of a hat, or the boundary between the back yoke and back body of a shirt, to impart breathability to those areas.
