Abstract

This cover can encase an entire vehicle, primarily to prevent water intrusion and total damage to the cabin, internal mechanical components, and electronic circuits during floods. When in use, the section sandwiched between the two red bands (the gusset section) in the front view is pulled together to eliminate any gaps between the bands. The vehicle is then driven in with the wheels straddling the red bands, using the red bands as the centerline. The left half of the front view is then placed over the roof of the vehicle, and the zippers around the perimeter are closed to completely encase the vehicle. As the water level increases and the water pressure builds, the pulled-in gusset section expands and sticks to the underside of the vehicle. This product is made by cutting four pieces of the same length from a roll of the same width, lining them up in parallel, butting the adjacent ends together, piping them, welding them together, and then welding a cover to cover the piping.
