Abstract

This article is a connector for connecting a messenger wire at any position in the middle of a suspension bolt, in a state approximately perpendicular to the axial direction of the suspension bolt, and comprises a suspension bolt holding member with a notch that engages with the suspension bolt, a wire holding member that holds the messenger wire, a base member arranged between the holding members, a fastening bolt that passes through the suspension bolt holding member, the base member, and the wire holding member, a fastening nut that threads onto the fastening bolt, and a conical compression coil spring that is inserted into the fastening bolt and arranged between the wire holding member and the fastening nut, and the suspension bolt is engaged with the notch of the suspension bolt holding member and is clamped between the base member, while the messenger wire is clamped between the base member and the base member while being pressed by a protrusion provided on the holding portion of the wire holding member, and the suspension bolt and the messenger wire are connected by tightening the fastening nut. As shown in the reference diagram showing the usage state, the notch in the hanging bolt holding member of this article engages with a hanging bolt attached to the ceiling of a building and is clamped between it and the base member, and the messenger wire is inserted from above into the holding portion of the wire holding member and clamped between the base member and the wire holding member. At this time, the hanging bolt and the messenger wire are temporarily fixed in place by the elastic force of a compression coil spring arranged to urge the hanging bolt holding member and the wire holding member toward the base member, and then they can be connected and fixed by tightening a fastening nut. In addition, two end sides of the wire holding member are provided with two restricting pieces that rise toward the hanging bolt holding member and restrict the relative rotation of the hanging bolt holding member, wire holding member, and base member, allowing the hanging bolt and messenger wire to be connected while maintaining a state in which they are approximately perpendicular to the axial direction of the hanging bolt.
