Abstract

This article relates to a plug opener / closer for opening and closing the plug of, for example, a drum, as shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use. Specifically, this article relates to a plug opener / closer for respectively closing the opening of the large-diameter plug portion and the small-diameter plug portion, which are formed at opposite positions relative to the center of the circular top surface of a drum having an overall cylindrical shape, as shown in Reference Figures 1 to 3, which show the state of use. The opening of the large-diameter plug portion is an opening for inserting a suction tube of a pump to discharge a fluid, such as oil, filled inside the drum, while the opening of the small-diameter plug portion serves as an air hole when the fluid filled inside the drum is discharged through the opening of the large-diameter plug portion using the suction tube of the pump. The plugs for closing the opening of the large-diameter plug portion and the plugs for closing the opening of the small-diameter plug portion are screwed onto their corresponding openings to close the openings of the respective plug portions when the fluid inside the drum is being stored, except when the fluid is being discharged using the pump (see Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use). When using this stopper opener / closer to first open a stopper closing an opening of a large-diameter stopper, the stopper is positioned in a flat state so that the square hole drilled in the depth direction at the center of the front view of the stopper opens in the vertical direction (see Reference Fig. 1 showing the state in use), and then the recesses formed on the left and right sides of the front view of the stopper engage with the convex portions formed in opposing positions on the inside of the lid-shaped stopper (see Reference Fig. 2 showing the state in use). On the other hand, when opening a stopper closing an opening of a small-diameter stopper, the stopper is positioned in an upright state so that the square hole drilled in the depth direction at the center of the front view of the stopper opens in the horizontal direction (see Reference Fig. 1 showing the state in use), and then the convex portion formed in the upper position at the front view of the stopper opens in the concave portion formed on the top surface of the lid-shaped stopper closing the opening of the small-diameter stopper (see Reference Fig. 2 showing the state in use).Next, to open the stopper that closes the opening of the large-diameter stopper, the recesses formed on the left and right sides of the stopper opener are engaged with the protrusions formed at opposing inward positions of the lid-shaped stopper, and the protrusions of a ratchet turning tool (ratchet handle) are engaged with the square hole of this article in the state shown in Reference Figure 5, which shows the state of use, and by rotating it in the direction of the arrow, it is possible to unscrew the stopper from the opening of the large-diameter stopper, and the stopper that closes the opening of the large-diameter stopper can be removed as shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the state of use. Conversely, to close the opening of the large-diameter stopper, the protrusions of the ratchet turning tool are engaged with the square hole of this article, and the ratchet turning tool is rotated in the direction opposite to the arrow shown in Reference Figure 5, which shows the state of use, to screw the stopper into the opening of the large-diameter stopper, and the opening of the stopper can be closed with the stopper. The opening and closing of the opening of a large-diameter plug using this product can be performed not only with a ratchet turning tool but also with an electrically driven impact wrench (electric ratchet handle).On the other hand, the operation of opening the plug that closes the opening of a small-diameter plug is performed by engaging the convex part formed at the top position in the front view of this product with the concave part formed at the top position of the lid-shaped plug that closes the opening of the small-diameter plug, and then engaging the convex part of the ratchet turning tool (ratchet handle) with the square hole of this product in the state shown in Reference Figure 4, which shows the state of use, and rotating it in the direction of the arrow, which makes it possible to unscrew the plug from the opening of the small-diameter plug, and remove the plug that closes the opening of the small-diameter plug, as shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the state of use. Conversely, when closing the opening of a small diameter plug, the protrusion of the ratchet turning tool is engaged with the square hole of this product, and the ratchet turning tool is turned in the direction opposite to the arrow shown in Reference Figure 4, which shows the usage state, to screw the plug into the opening of the small diameter plug, thereby making it possible to close the opening of the plug. The opening and closing of a small diameter plug using this product can be done not only with a ratchet turning tool, but also with an electrically driven impact wrench (electric ratchet handle).
