Automatic vehicle beverage container holder

Abstract

This product is a beverage container holder used for mounting near the air conditioning vents on the instrument panel of an automobile, and is broadly composed of a storage section and a holding section. The holding section is rotatable horizontally around the connection point with the storage section, and a constant pressing force is applied to the holding section toward the storage section by a resilient member attached to the pivot point. When using this product, the holding section is opened toward the user against the resilient force of the resilient member, and the beverage container is placed in the gap between the storage section and the holding section. When the hand holding the holding section is released, the holding section moves toward the storage section due to the resilient force of the resilient member, and securely holds the beverage container. In the front view showing the wavy pattern section of this product, the light gray area has a wavy pattern formed on its surface with numerous grooves extending vertically (see enlarged views of sections C-C' and D-D').
