Abstract

To make it possible to easily and accurately mount an object.SOLUTION: A method for positioning an object (3) having a peripheral surface (3.1) extending along an arc includes the steps of: mounting the object (3) on a rotatable mechanical part (4); installing a fixed first distance measurement device (1); installing a fixed second distance measurement device (2); determining both three first distance values (x1a, x1b, and x1c) and three second distance values (z2a, z2b, and z2c) at three mutually different angular positions (φa, φb, and φc) of the mechanical part (4): calculating a first offset value (O1) based on the three first distance values and their associated angular positions, and a second offset value (O2) based on the three second distance values and their associated angular positions; and displacing the object (3) relative to the mechanical part (4) until the first offset value is determined by the first distance measurement device (1) within a tolerable deviation and the second offset value is determined by the second distance measurement device (2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Claims

1. A method for positioning an object (3) having a peripheral surface (3.1) extending along a circular arc and including an angular scale, comprising the steps of: - mounting said object (3) on a mechanical part (4) that is pivotable about a fixed axis (A4); - setting up a fixed first distance measuring device (1) so that a first distance value (x) between a first fixed point (P1) and the periphery (3.1) of said object (3) can be determined; - a step of installing a fixed second distance measuring device (2) which allows to determine a second distance value (z) between a second fixed point (P2) and the peripheral surface (3.1) of said object (3), said first distance measuring device (1) being arranged at an angle (α) in the circumferential direction with respect to said peripheral surface (3.1) of said object (3) compared to said second distance measuring device (2); determining three first distance values (x1a, x1b, x1c) and three second distance values (z2a, z2b, z2c) at three defined mutually different angular positions (φa, φb, φc) of said mechanical part (4); calculating a first offset value (O1) based on the three first distance values (x1a, x1b, x1c) and the associated angular positions (φa, φb, φc) and a second offset value (O2) based on the three second distance values (z2a, z2b, z2c) and the associated angular positions (φa, φb, φc); and displacing the object (3) relative to the machine part (4) until the first offset value (O1) is determined by the first distance measuring device (1) and the second offset value (O2) is determined by the second distance measuring device (2) within a tolerance.

2. 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the swivel of the machine part (4) is limited to an angular range (φS) of less than 360°, in particular less than 270°.

3. 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the swivelability of the machine part (4) is limited to an angular range (φS), and the three angular positions (φa, φb, φc) of the machine part (4) lie in an angular interval (φm) extending over at least 33% of the angular range (φS).

4. 3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the three angular positions (φa, φb, φc) of the machine part (4) lie in an angular interval (φm) extending over less than 180°.

5. 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the angle (α) is at least 20°.

6. 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first distance measuring device (1) and / or the second distance measuring device (2) are configured as a probe measuring instrument.

7. 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the object (3) is configured in an annular shape.

8. 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the object (3) has an angle scale on its peripheral side (3.1).
