Chip removal device and chip removal method

Abstract

To provide a chip removal device and a chip removal method that can remove a chip from a tip part of a pipette with less force compared to a case of removing the chip from the pipette with force acting on the chip by only lifting the pipette.SOLUTION: A chip removal device 1 includes: a removal part 20 which includes a first contact part 22 configured to be able to contact an upper end surface of a chip 53 attached to a tip part 52 of a pipette 50; and a conveyance robot 10 having a gripping part 14 which grips a body part 51 of the pipette 50, and a rotation part 13 which is configured to be able to remove the chip 53 from the tip part 52 by rotating the pipette 50 gripped by the gripping part 14 relative to the first contact part 22 in a direction of pressing the upper end surface against the first contact part 22 in a state where the upper end surface of the chip 53 of the pipette 50 contacts the first contact part 22, and conveying the pipette 50 attached with the chip 53 toward the removal part 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
