Abstract

To provide a drying device which inhibits lifting of a sheet while blowing air to dry the sheet.SOLUTION: A drying device includes: a hot air blowing unit 8A having a plurality of blowing nozzles 10A and a first flow duct 14A; and a hot air blowing unit 8B located adjacent to a downstream of the hot air blowing unit 8A with respect to a sheet transport direction D1 and having a plurality of blowing nozzles 10B and a second flow duct 14B. When a pitch between an arbitrary first hole 10a of the plurality of blowing nozzles 10A and a second hole 10b which is located at the downstream of the first hole 10a in the sheet transport direction D1 and has a shortest distance from the first hole 10a with respect to the sheet transport direction D1 is referred to as a first pitch p1, with respect to the sheet transport direction D1, a second pitch p2 between a downstream end hole 10Aa located at a downstream end of the plurality of blowing nozzles 10A and an upstream end hole 10Ba located at an upstream end of the plurality of blowing nozzles 10B is smaller than or equal to the first pitch p1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
