Abstract

To provide an information providing device capable of issuing an alert effectively before passing an occurrence spot of a traffic event requiring cautious driving.SOLUTION: An information providing device 200 is connected to a plurality of vehicles via a communication network. The information providing device 200 receives, from a first vehicle 101 including a drive recorder and passed an occurrence spot of a traffic event requiring cautious driving among the plurality of vehicles, data on a video captured by the drive recorder while passing the occurrence spot and stores data on an image indicating a situation of the occurrence spot and extracted from the video in a storage device. The information providing device 200 transmits, to a second vehicle 102 including a display device and having a possibility of passing the occurrence spot after the first vehicle 101 among the plurality of vehicles, the data on the image stored in the storage device and displays the image on the display device of the second vehicle 102 to issue an alert when the second vehicle 102 reaches a notification spot before the occurrence spot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
