Abstract

To provide a drive circuit and the like capable of achieving both suppressing upsizing of a resistor required for discharging a capacitor and a shorter discharge time.SOLUTION: A drive circuit 1 comprises: a rectification circuit 11 for rectifying AC current; a capacitor 20 and a discharge unit 30 connected in parallel with a load 70 between a positive pole transmission line 12 and a negative pole transmission line 13 that connect the load 70 and the rectification circuit 11; a switch 40 provided so as to switch a branch line 41 interposed between the discharge unit 30 and the negative pole transmission line 13 between a conductive state and a non-conductive state; and a control unit 50 for controlling operation of the switch 40. The discharge unit 30 has a discharge resistor 31 and a discharge resistor 32 connected in series. The branch line 41 connects a connection portion 33 and the negative pole transmission line 13. The control unit 50 controls operation of the switch 40 depending on a relationship between a voltage detected by a voltage detection circuit 51 and a threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
