Abstract
To provide a method for producing an Al-Cu-Mg-based alloy material that yields an Al-Cu-Mg-based alloy material with high proof stress even by short-time solution treatment.SOLUTION: A method for producing an Al-Cu-Mg-based alloy material includes a solution treatment step, a water quenching step, and an aging treatment step. This method includes regulating Si content to be 1.0 wt.% or less in the Al-Cu-Mg-based alloy material and controlling the holding temperature during the solution treatment step within the range of (solidus temperature-30°C) to solidus temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: None
