[0011] The article tip-over prevention device 10 for a storage shelf 1 according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0012] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the item tip-prevention device 10 for a storage shelf 1 according to the present invention is designed to prevent stored items 5, such as wine bottles, Japanese sake bottles, and Western liquor bottles stored on the storage shelf 1, from tipping over or falling, and has an up-down direction Y, a lateral direction X, and a front-to-back direction Z, and is equipped with a pair of left and right support panels 20, 20 and a cylindrical tip-prevention bar 40.

[0013] The storage shelf 1 is a general storage shelf for commercial or home use, and has a shelf board 2 and a side board 3 that supports the shelf board 2. A pair of support panels 20, 20 of the article tip-prevention device 10 are fixed to the side board 3 of the storage shelf 1 while supporting both ends 41, 41 of the tip-prevention bar 40.

[0014] The items 5 stored on the storage shelf 1 include various categories such as wine bottles, sake bottles, and Western liquor bottles displayed in restaurants and bars, as shown in the figure, as well as apparel products such as clothes and footwear displayed in apparel stores, sweets, fresh food, toys, and fresh flowers displayed in retail stores.

[0015] The support panel 20 and the anti-tip bar 40 are preferably made of metal or plastic, and if made of plastic, the materials that can be used include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate, ABS resin, EVA resin, polycarbonate, and polyamide. In addition to metal and plastic, they can also be made of various known materials such as wood and ceramics.

[0016] The pair of support panels 20 are the same shape and size, so for the sake of brevity, only one of the support panels 20 will be described below, but it should be understood that the other support panel 20 has the same configuration.

[0017] 4, the support panel 20 is generally rectangular and has upper and lower edges 20a, 20b extending in the front-to-rear direction Z, front and rear side edges 20c, 20d facing each other in the front-to-rear direction Z and extending in the up-down direction Y, and a guide groove 50 in which the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40 is engaged. The support panel 20 also has through holes 21, 22 for fastening to fixing holes in the side panels 3 of the storage shelf 1 with screws 8.

[0018] The guide groove 50 is L-shaped and has a first groove 51 and a second groove 52. The first groove 51 has a vertical section 51a extending in the up-down direction Y along the front edge 20c and a transverse section 51b extending rearward along the upper edge 20a. The second groove 52 extends downward from the rear end of the transverse section 51b of the first groove 51. The lower end 51c of the first groove 51 extends to the lower edge 20b of the support panel 20, with a portion of the lower edge 20b being open.

[0019] The second groove 52 of the guide groove 50 has, at its lower end, a locking portion 52a that locks onto the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40. The locking portion 52a is convexly curved to fit the outer shape of the anti-tip bar 40, and its width (dimension in the front-to-back direction Z) is greater than the diameter of the anti-tip bar 40, so that when the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40 is positioned at the locking portion 52a, movement of the anti-tip bar 40 in the front-to-back direction Z is restricted.

[0020] Here, the external dimensions of the support panel 20 depend on the size of the storage shelf 1, but for example, the dimension in the front-to-rear direction (width dimension) W1 is 100 to 120 mm, the dimension in the up-down direction Y (length dimension) L1 is 150 to 190 mm, and the distance L2 from the lower edge 20b to the lower edge of the locking portion 52a of the guide groove 50 is 70 to 110 mm. The guide grooves 50 are formed so that their width dimension W2 is uniform, and the width dimension W2 depends on the diameter of the supported anti-tip bar 40, but is, for example, 5 to 10 mm.

[0021] 1, when article fall prevention device 10 is in use, end 41 of anti-tip bar 40 is positioned at engaging portion 52a of guide groove 50, and anti-tip bar 40 extends in lateral direction X in front of stored article 5. Since anti-tip bar 40 is restricted from moving in the front-to-rear direction Z by a pair of support panels 20 and is in a stably supported state, there is no risk of stored article 5 falling or jumping out of storage shelf 1 and falling, even if storage shelf 1 is subjected to vibrations due to an earthquake or external shock.

[0022] 5, when a user removes stored item 5 from storage shelf 1, he or she grasps anti-tip bar 40 and moves end 41 of anti-tip bar 40 upward from locking portion 52a of second groove 52 along guide groove 50, and then moves end 41 of anti-tip bar 40 from transverse portion 51b of first groove 51 toward longitudinal portion 51a until it comes into contact with shelf 2. When anti-tip bar 40 has moved to longitudinal portion 51a of first groove 51, the user can release anti-tip bar 40, causing it to fall onto shelf 2 under its own weight.

[0023] In this way, with the anti-tip bar 40 in the lowered state, the user can easily remove stored items 5 from the front of the storage shelf 1. After removing the stored items 5, the user grasps the anti-tip bar 40 and moves it from the first groove 51 to the second groove 52 along the guide groove 50, and locks the end 41 into the locking portion 52a of the second groove 52, whereby the anti-tip bar 40 is positioned in front of the stored items 5, and the article anti-tip device 10 can once again prevent the stored items 5 from tipping or falling.

[0024] According to the article tip-over prevention device 10 of the present invention, by moving the tip-over prevention bar 40 along the guide groove 50, it is possible to easily prevent stored articles 5 from tipping or falling, and it is also easy to remove stored articles 5. Furthermore, because the article tip-over prevention device 10 is composed only of a pair of support panels 20 and the tip-over prevention bar 40, it has a simpler structure and can be manufactured at lower cost than article tip-over prevention devices that use electrical components.

[0025] <First Example> 6 is a plan view of the support panel 20 of a first embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of the article tip-prevention device 10 according to the present invention. The second groove 52 of the guide groove 50 of the support panel 20 extends diagonally forward from the rear end of the cross section 51b of the first groove 51. Because the guide groove 50 has such a shape, in order to move the tip-prevention bar 40 into the first groove 51, it is necessary to move it diagonally backward along the second groove 52.

[0026] Even if a force that would move the anti-tip bar 40 upward is accidentally applied, the anti-tip bar 40 comes into contact with the peripheral wall portion that forms the second groove 52, preventing its upward movement. Therefore, the anti-tip bar 40 will not unintentionally move through the transverse portion 51b of the first groove 51 to the longitudinal portion 51a, and the fall prevention effect can be maintained.

[0027] <Second Example> 7 is a plan view of a support panel 20 of a second embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of the article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention. The second groove 52 of the guide groove 50 of the support panel 20 extends linearly downward, then bends at bent portion 52b to extend obliquely forward, and further bends at bent portion 52c to extend linearly downward.

[0028] In this way, since the second groove 52 of the guide groove 50 has a shape that extends while bending downward, even if a force is suddenly applied to the anti-tip bar 40 that would move it upward when the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40 is engaged with the engaging portion 52a, the bending portions 52b, 52c prevent the anti-tip bar 40 from moving upward.

[0029] <Third Example> 8 is a plan view of a support panel 20 of a third embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of an article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention. The first groove 61 of the guide groove 60 of the support panel 20 has a vertical section 61a extending in the up-down direction Y along the front edge 20c, a lower end 61c located at the lower edge 20b, an upper cross section 61b extending linearly rearward along the upper edge 20a, and a lower cross section 61d extending rearward in the center of the support panel 20 in the up-down direction Y.

[0030] The second grooves 62, 63 of the guide groove 60 extend diagonally in a straight line forward from the rear ends of the upper and lower cross portions 61b, 61d of the first groove 61, and each have a locking portion 62a, 63a for locking the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40.

[0031] Because the guide groove 60 has such a shape, the fall prevention means using the anti-tip bars 40 has two levels, upper and lower, and the two anti-tip bars 40 lined up in the vertical direction Y can prevent the stored items 5 from falling. For safer use, the anti-tip bars 40 may be engaged with both of the engagement portions 62a, 63a of the upper and lower second grooves 62, 63, or may be engaged with only one of them.

[0032] For example, if the stored item 5 is a relatively short liquor bottle or the like, the anti-tip bar 40 can be engaged in the second groove 63 located at the bottom, and if the stored item is a relatively tall wine bottle or the like, the second groove 62 located at the top can be used, and so on, depending on the type of stored item 5.

[0033] <Fourth Example> 9 is a plan view of a support panel 20 of a fourth embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of the article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention. In this embodiment, the first groove 61 of the guide groove 60 of the support panel 20 has a vertical section 61a extending in the up-down direction Y along the front edge 20c, a lower end 61c located on the lower edge 20b side, an upper cross section 61b extending linearly rearward along the upper edge 20a, and a lower cross section 61d extending rearward in the center of the support panel 20 in the up-down direction Y.

[0034] The second grooves 62, 63 of the guide groove 90 extend downward while bending from the rear ends of the upper and lower cross portions 61b, 61d of the first groove 61, and each have a locking portion 62a, 63a for locking the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40.

[0035] The lower end 61c of the first groove 61 is located away from the lower edge 20b of the support panel 20 and forms a closed edge. By closing the lower end 61c in this way, it is possible to prevent the metal support panel 20 from warping in the lengthwise direction of the storage shelf 1 during use and to prevent the tip-over prevention bar 40 from hitting the shelf board 3 and being damaged.

[0036] Furthermore, the corners located on both sides of the upper and lower crossing portions 61b, 61d of the first groove 61 of the guide groove 60 are curved. If the corners were sharp, the rod-shaped anti-tip bar 40 would get caught in the corners and would be unable to move smoothly. However, by having curved corners, the anti-tip bar 40 can move smoothly along the guide groove 60.

[0037] <Fifth Example> 10 is a plan view of the support panel 20 of a fifth embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of the article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention. The shape of the guide groove 60 in this embodiment is substantially the same as in the third and fourth embodiments, so a description of the basic shape will be omitted. However, the lower crossing portion 61d is linear, while the upper crossing portion 61b has a curved shape that is convex upward. Furthermore, the second grooves 62 and 63 extend while bending downward, similar to the second embodiment.

[0038] In this embodiment, the upper cross section 61b of the first groove 61 has an upwardly convex curve, which allows the rod-shaped anti-tip bar 40 to move smoothly along the guide groove 60. In particular, the curvature R of the upper cross section 61b is 15 to 18, which is a relatively gentle curve, and therefore it can be said that smoother movement can be achieved compared to a sharp curve.

[0039] <Sixth Example> 11 is a plan view of the support panel 20 in one example of the embodiment of the article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention. The first groove 71 of the guide groove 70 of the support panel 20 has a vertical section 71a extending in the up-down direction Y, a lower end 71c located at the lower edge 20b, an upper cross section 71b extending linearly rearward along the upper edge 20a, an intermediate cross section 71d located below the upper cross section 71b, and a lower cross section 71e located below the intermediate cross section 71d.

[0040] The second grooves 72, 73, and 74 of the guide groove 70 extend diagonally forward in a straight line from the rear ends of the upper and lower transverse portions 71b and 71d and the intermediate transverse portion 71e of the first groove 71, and each have locking portions 72a, 73a, and 74a for locking the end portion 41 of the anti-tip bar 40.

[0041] Because the guide groove 70 has such a shape, the fall prevention means using the anti-tip bars 40 has three upper and lower levels, and the three anti-tip bars 40 lined up in the vertical direction Y can prevent the stored items 5 from falling. Depending on the application, the anti-tip bars 40 can be engaged with all three upper and lower levels, or with two or one of the upper and lower levels.

[0042] <Seventh Example> FIG. 12 is a plan view of a support panel 20 of a seventh embodiment of an article tip-over prevention device 10 according to the present invention.

[0043] In this embodiment, the support panel 20 has an attachment portion 25A that is fixed to the side plate 3 of the storage shelf 1, and a support portion 25B in which the guide groove 80 is located. The attachment portion 25A has through holes 21 and 22 for fixing the support panel 20 to the side plate 3 with screws.

[0044] The first groove 81 of the guide groove 80 has a closed lower end 80c located away from the lower end 20b of the support panel 20, a vertical section 81a extending in the up-down direction Y, and a transverse section 81b extending rearward from the vertical section 81a. The transverse section 81b has an upwardly convex curve. The second groove 82 extends downward from the transverse section 81b while bending, and at its lower end is a locking section 82a that can lock the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40.

[0045] In this embodiment, the support panel 20 is fixed to the side panel 3 via the mounting portion 25A, and the guide groove 80 is located at the support portion 25B that protrudes forward from the storage shelf 1, so the anti-tip bar 40 is located forward and away from the shelf 2 of the storage shelf 1.

[0046] For example, when the anti-tip bar 40 is located inside the storage shelf 1, the article anti-tip device 10 cannot be used for stored items 5 that have relatively large external dimensions and part of which protrudes slightly forward from the shelf 2 of the storage shelf 1. As in this embodiment, by positioning the anti-tip bar 40 away from the front of the shelf 2 of the storage shelf 1, even if part of the stored item 5 protrudes forward from the shelf 2, the anti-tip bar 40 is positioned in front of the stored item 5, and the article anti-tip device 10 can be used properly.

[0047] The lower end 81c of the first groove 81 is a closed end separated from the lower edge 20b of the support panel 20, so the anti-tip bar 40 will not fall to the floor when the anti-tip bar 40 is moved into the first groove 81 to remove the stored item 5 from the storage shelf 1. The lower end 81c of the first groove 81, like the engaging portion 82a of the second groove 82, has a curved shape that follows the outer shape of the cylindrical anti-tip bar 40.

[0048] <Eighth Example> Figure 13(A) is a plan view of the support panel 20 of the eighth embodiment, which is one example of an embodiment of the article fall prevention device 10 of the present invention, Figure 13(B) is a plan view of the support panel 20 viewed from above, and Figure 14 is a view similar to Figure 13(A) showing the state in which the lock by the lock lever 95 is released.

[0049] The support panel 20 of this embodiment is a two-stage type similar to the fourth embodiment shown in Figure 9, and the first groove 91 of the guide groove 90 of the support panel 20 has a vertical portion 91a extending in the vertical direction Y along the front edge 20c, a lower end 91c located at the lower edge 20b, an upper transverse portion 91b extending linearly rearward along the upper edge 20a, and a lower transverse portion 91d extending rearward in the central portion of the support panel 20 in the vertical direction Y.

[0050] The second grooves 92, 93 of the guide groove 90 extend downward while bending from the rear ends of the upper and lower cross portions 91b, 91d of the first groove 91, and each have a locking portion 92a, 93a for locking the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40.

[0051] At the corner where the front edge 20c and rear edge 20d of the support panel 20 intersect, there are located a lock lever 95 rotatably fixed via a rotation shaft 94, and a stopper 96 for restricting the rotation of the lock lever 95. The lock lever 95 is L-shaped and has a base end 95A fixed to the support panel 20 via the rotation shaft 94, and a tip end 95B with an inclined surface that comes into contact with the tip-prevention bar 40.

[0052] As shown in Figure 13(B), a biasing spring (biasing means) 97 is arranged on the rotating shaft 94, and the lock lever 95 is biased by the biasing spring 97 so that its tip portion 95B is positioned overlapping with the second groove 92 of the guide groove 90.

[0053] When the lock lever 95 overlaps the second groove 92, the upward movement of the end 41 of the anti-tip bar 40 located at the engaging portion 92a of the second groove 92 is restricted. Therefore, even if a force that tries to move the anti-tip bar 40 upward is suddenly applied due to an earthquake or the like, the anti-tip bar 40 can be prevented from moving upward unexpectedly.

[0054] When moving the anti-tip bar 40 from the first groove 91 to the second groove 92, the user applies a force to push down the anti-tip bar 40 while it is in contact with the inclined surface of the tip end 95B, causing the lock lever 95 to pivot in the direction of arrow P via the rotation shaft 94 against the bias of the biasing spring 97, as shown by the imaginary line in Figure 13(A). When the tip end 95B of the lock lever 95 comes out of the second groove 92, the base end 95A of the lock lever 95 abuts against a stopper 96, restricting its pivoting.

[0055] Referring to Figure 14, when moving the anti-tip bar 40 from the engaging portion 92a of the second groove 92 to the first groove 91, the user rotates the lock lever 95 with their finger in the direction of arrow P so that the tip portion 95B is disengaged from the second groove 92, and then grasps the anti-tip bar 40 and moves it upward.

[0056] In the illustrated example, the lock lever 95 is disposed only with respect to the second groove 92, but it may also be disposed with respect to the second groove 93 located below it. Furthermore, without disposing the biasing spring 97 on the rotation shaft 94, the lock lever 95 may be disposed so that the tip end 95B overlaps the second groove 92 by its own weight alone.

[0057] Unless otherwise specified, the constituent materials of the item fall prevention device 10 in the storage shelf 1 of the present invention can be any of a variety of well-known materials commonly used in this type of field, without any restrictions. [Explanation of symbols]
