Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic preparation. [Background technology]

[0002] Skin care products with a pearlescent appearance are known, and such pearlescent appearance is created by pearlescent pigments such as mica / tin oxide, etc. However, these pearlescent pigments tend to clog pores and dry out the skin, so skin care products containing pearlescent pigments are generally not popular with consumers.

[0003] Cosmetics that produce a pearlescent appearance without using pearl pigments include, for example, a cosmetic composition containing waxes such as alkylene glycol esters, an emulsifier, and a polyol ester, as described in U.S. Pat. No. 6,835,700, and a cosmetic composition containing a higher fatty acid and an alkali metal higher fatty acid soap, as described in WO 2010 / 046406. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] The cosmetic compositions described in the above-mentioned prior art contain a large amount of waxes and higher fatty acids, and therefore have a high viscosity, which causes a problem of giving a sticky or heavy feel upon application.

[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide a stable oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has a pearlescent appearance without containing pearl pigments and can provide a light texture when applied. Here, "pearlescent appearance" means a pearl-like appearance visually evaluated by applying 1 mg of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic to a black plate. When applied onto the skin, the composition of the present invention provides a bright or radiant complexion to make the skin look younger. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present invention provides an oil-in-water cosmetic composition comprising (a) an aqueous medium, (b) two or more kinds of higher fatty acids having 12 to 24 carbon atoms or alkali metal salts thereof, (c) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monoalkyl glyceryl ethers having an alkyl group having 12 to 24 carbon atoms and monoalkenyl glyceryl ethers having an alkenyl group having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, (d) (d-1) a polysaccharide derived from a microorganism, and (d-2) a thickener containing a (meth)acrylic polymer, and (e) a nonionic surfactant. Note that "(a) aqueous medium" may be simply referred to as "(a) component", and other components are similarly abbreviated. In addition, in this specification, "(meth)acrylic" means acrylic or methacrylic, and the same applies to other similar skeletons.

[0007] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention may further contain (f) ceramide. By containing component (f), it is possible to provide even greater moisture upon application.

[0008] In the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, the nonionic surfactant (e) is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of glycerin fatty acid esters, fatty acid polyethylene glycols, and polyglycerin fatty acid esters, which provides the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic with improved stability.

[0009] The viscosity of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is preferably 2000 mPa·s or less at 25° C. If the viscosity is within the above range, a lighter texture can be imparted upon application.

[0010] The present invention also relates to a cosmetic method for caring for and / or making up keratinous materials, in particular skin, which comprises applying an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition as defined in the present invention. In particular, the cosmetic method of the present invention provides a bright or radiant complexion on the skin. Effect of the Invention

[0011] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a stable oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has a pearlescent appearance without containing a pearl pigment and can impart a light texture upon application. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0019] Examples of the alkali metal salts of higher fatty acids having 12 to 24 carbon atoms include sodium salts and potassium salts.

[0020] Examples of combinations of two or more higher fatty acids having 12 to 24 carbon atoms or their alkali metal salts include two or more selected from the group consisting of lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, isostearic acid, behenic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and their alkali metal salts. Among these, a combination of two selected from the group consisting of palmitic acid, stearic acid, behenic acid, and their alkali metal salts is preferred, as it can provide a more brilliant pearlescent luster, and a combination of stearic acid or its alkali metal salt, and behenic acid or its alkali metal salt is more preferred.

[0021] The content of component (b) is preferably 0.1 to 5% by mass, and more preferably 0.5 to 3% by mass, based on the total mass. By keeping the content of component (b) within the above range, the pearlescent appearance of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic can be improved, and a lighter texture can be imparted upon application.

[0025] The content of component (c) is preferably 0.05 to 5 mass % based on the total mass, and more preferably 0.1 to 3 mass %. By keeping the content of component (c) within the above range, the pearlescent appearance of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic can be improved, and a lighter texture can be imparted upon application.

[0026] As the components (b) and (c), it is preferable to use a composition obtained by mixing and heating at least (i) two or more kinds of higher fatty acids having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, (ii) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monoalkyl glyceryl ethers having an alkyl group having 12 to 24 carbon atoms and monoalkenyl glyceryl ethers having an alkenyl group having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, and (iii) an alkali metal hydroxide, since it can show a brighter pearly luster. Here, "lightness of texture" refers to the texture of a composition that can impart a fresh, watery feel and good applicability when the sample is applied to the skin (i.e., the lightness of the feel when placed on the skin). A: The texture is very light. B: Light texture C: The texture is not light.

[0053] (5) Stability evaluation Each cosmetic was placed in a transparent container, sealed with a lid, and stored at 50°C for one month. Those in which no separation between the oil and water phases was observed were rated as Y, and those in which separation between the oil and water phases was observed were rated as N.

[0054] (6) Viscosity measurement The viscosity of each cosmetic at 25° C. was measured using a rotational viscometer (for example, Rheolab QC; manufactured by Anton Paar; spindle: ST22-4V; rotation speed: 100 rpm (3 minutes)).
