DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0008] An embodiment of a light wall W1 serving as a surface light emitting device will be described below with reference to Figures 1 to 6. In this embodiment, a light wall installed inside a building is assumed. As shown in Fig. 1, the light wall W1 is composed of a wall material 10 and a lighting device 20. The wall material 10 is a laminated glass composed of four layers, a transparent panel 11, a patterned film 12, a transparent panel 13, and a patterned film 14, which are tightly adhered to each other.
[0009] 2 is an exploded view showing the transparent panel 11, pattern film 12, transparent panel 13, and pattern film 14 of the wall material 10. The transparent panels 11 and 13 are made of transparent glass material having a predetermined thickness. The pattern films 12 and 14 are made of transparent glass material that is thinner than the transparent panels 11 and 13 and have a pattern applied to them. The transparent panels 11 and pattern film 12 function as first transparent plates, and the transparent panel 13 and pattern film 14 function as second transparent plates.
[0010] As shown in FIG. 3(a), the pattern film 12 is provided with a first pattern, and as shown in FIG. 3(b), the pattern film 14 is provided with a second pattern. In this embodiment, different patterns are provided. Here, the horizontal direction is the x-axis, and the vertical direction is the y-axis. The patterns are arranged in different patterns by combining stripe patterns in the common y-axis direction. The patterns may be the same or different colors. Since the pattern film 12 is made of transparent glass, the pattern of the pattern film 14 arranged behind can be seen through the gaps in the pattern.
[0011] Since the transparent panel 13 is sandwiched between the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14, the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14 are spaced apart at a predetermined distance. The distance between the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14 (the thickness of the transparent panel 13) is determined according to the distance from the viewer's viewpoint and the arrangement of the first and second patterns. In other words, they are arranged at a distance that allows the deviation between the first and second patterns to be recognized when the viewer moves in the x-axis direction. 4, when the pattern films 12 and 14 are viewed from different horizontal positions P1, P2, and P3, the overlapping of the patterns differs. Different composite patterns are seen on the wall material 10 depending on the positions P1, P2, and P3.
[0012] 1, the lighting device 20 emits light from the rear surface behind the wall material 10. The lighting device 20 includes a light-emitting device 21 and a reflector 22. The light emitting device 21 is disposed horizontally below (at one end region) the rear of the wall material 10. In this embodiment, the light emitting device 21 is a straight tube type LED lamp.
[0013] As shown in Fig. 5(a), the reflector 22 is disposed at the rear and upper part (the other end region) of the wall material 10, and realizes indirect lighting by reflecting light emitted from the light emitting device 21 towards the wall material 10 (front surface). The reflector 22 has a flat plate portion 221 at the bottom and a curved portion 222 at the top (upper end portion). The curved portion 222 has a shape whose cross section forms an arc in a vertical plane. In other words, the arc axis (x-axis direction) of the curved portion 222 is disposed in a direction intersecting (orthogonal to) the axial direction (y-axis direction) of the stripes of the pattern films 12, 14.
[0014] The light reflection conditions are different between the flat plate portion 221 and the upper curved portion 222. Since the light emitting device 21 is disposed at the bottom, the lower end is brighter, and the higher the position in the flat plate portion 221, the darker it becomes. Also, since the light emitted by the light emitting device 21 is reflected in a concentrated manner at the curved portion 222, the curved portion becomes brighter.
[0015] As a result, a luminance distribution 230 is obtained in which a gradation occurs in which the lower and upper parts are brighter, as shown in FIG. 5(b). As shown in Fig. 6, the pattern of the wall material 10 and the luminance distribution 230 create different patterns depending on the position of the user of the building, etc. Fig. 6(a) shows a composite pattern 101 as viewed from position P1 in front. Fig. 6(b) shows a composite pattern 102 as viewed from position P2 on the left. Fig. 6(c) shows a composite pattern 103 as viewed from position P3 on the right.
[0016] (action) Since the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14 are arranged at a distance from each other, different composite patterns are produced depending on the viewing position.
[0017] Furthermore, since the reflector 22 has the flat portion 221 and the curved portion 222, the degree of light reflection differs, and a single light source can produce different shadings of brightness.
[0018] According to this embodiment, the following effects can be obtained. (1) In this embodiment, the wall material 10 is configured by closely adhering four layers: a transparent panel 11, a pattern film 12, a transparent panel 13, and a pattern film 14. The transparent panel 11 can protect the pattern film 12.
[0019] Furthermore, the transparent panel 13 can separate the pattern film 12 from the pattern film 14. By separating the pattern film 12 from the pattern film 14, the positional relationship between the patterns of the two films changes depending on the viewing position, and different patterns can be produced.
[0020] (2) In this embodiment, a lighting device 20 is disposed on the back surface of the wall material 10. This makes it possible to realize a lighted wall in which the wall material 10 emits light. (3) In this embodiment, the reflector 22 has a flat portion 221 and a curved portion 222. This allows one light emitting device 21 to generate bright areas above and below.
[0021] (4) In this embodiment, linear patterns are arranged in different patterns in the y-axis direction (vertical direction) on the pattern films 12 and 14. This allows the pattern shift to be produced by movement in the x-axis direction (horizontal direction).
[0022] (5) In this embodiment, the arc axis of the curved portion 222 is disposed in a direction intersecting (orthogonal to) the axial direction of the stripe pattern of the pattern films 12, 14. This makes it possible to create a design with shading for the pattern of the pattern films 12, 14.
[0023] This embodiment can be modified as follows: This embodiment and the following modifications can be combined with each other to the extent that there is no technical contradiction. In the above embodiment, the wall material 10 is composed of the transparent panel 11, the pattern film 12, the transparent panel 13, and the pattern film 14. The configuration of the wall material 10 is not limited to this. For example, the transparent panel 11 does not have to be used. Also, if the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14 can be separated, the transparent panel 13 does not have to be used. In this case, for example, a spacer member is used to separate the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14. Furthermore, the rear surfaces of the transparent panels 11 and 13 may be provided with a pattern.
[0024] In the above embodiment, the pattern film 12 and the pattern film 14 are provided with different patterns, the first pattern and the second pattern, respectively, but the patterns are not limited to this. In addition, the first pattern and the second pattern may be patterns that generate moire.
[0025] In the above embodiment, the reflector 22 includes a lower flat portion 221 and an upper curved portion 222. The shape of the reflector is not limited to this. For example, by providing a curved portion in the central region, it is possible to generate shading of brightness in the central region.
[0026] In the above embodiment, the light emitting device 21 is disposed horizontally behind and below the wall material 10 (one end region). Alternatively or in addition to this, the light emitting device 21 may be disposed vertically on one of the left and right sides (one end region) behind the wall material 10. In this case, the curved portion 222 of the reflector 22 is disposed on the other of the left and right sides (the other end region) behind the wall material 10, and has a shape whose cross section forms an arc in the horizontal plane. This makes it possible to generate a luminance distribution with a gradation in the vertical direction.
[0027] In the above embodiment, a straight-tube LED lamp is used as the light-emitting device 21. The light-emitting device is not limited to a straight-tube LED lamp. For example, light-emitting elements that generate point-like light may be linearly arranged. Also, a plurality of light-emitting devices 21 may be arranged in the vertical direction, or a surface light-emitting device may be provided.
[0028] Next, the technical ideas that can be understood from the above-described embodiment and other examples will be described below. 5. The surface light emitting device according to claim 4, wherein (a) the light emitting device is disposed below and behind the wall material, and the reflector is disposed above. (b) The surface light emitting device according to claim 4 or (a), characterized in that the light emitting device is disposed on one side behind the wall material, and the reflector is provided on the other side.
