Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a roll map generating device for a wound electrode in which a plurality of electrodes are wound together.
[0002] This application claims the benefit of priority based on Korean Patent Application No. 10-2021-0152305 dated November 8, 2021, and all contents disclosed in the documents of that Korean patent application are incorporated herein by reference. [Background technology]
[0003] The demand for secondary batteries is also increasing rapidly due to technological development and increasing demand for mobile devices. Among them, lithium secondary batteries are widely used as an energy source for various electronic products as well as various mobile devices due to their high energy density, operating voltage, and excellent storage and life characteristics.
[0004] The electrode manufacturing process for manufacturing electrodes for lithium secondary batteries includes several sub-processes, such as a coating process in which an active material and a predetermined insulating material are applied to the surface of a metal electrode plate, which serves as a current collector, to form a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a roll press process in which the coated electrodes are rolled, and a slitting process in which the rolled electrodes are cut according to size.
[0005] The electrodes manufactured in the electrode manufacturing process are notched to form electrode tabs, and a separator is interposed between the positive and negative electrodes to form an electrode assembly, which is then stacked or folded, packaged in a pouch or can, and filled with electrolyte to form a secondary battery. The assembled secondary battery is then charged and discharged, and undergoes an activation process to impart battery properties, becoming a final, completed secondary battery.
[0006] The electrode manufacturing process is performed in a roll-to-roll state in which an electrode roll is mounted and moved between an unwinder and a rewinder. A normal electrode roll (jumbo roll) has an electrode length of, for example, 2000 to 3000 m in total, depending on the type. However, when the electrode manufacturing process is performed, it is sometimes impossible to use the entire electrode in relation to the subsequent process, and surplus electrodes of about several hundred meters in length are inevitably left. Or, a large number of defects may occur, and the defects may be cut off, leaving some normal electrodes. In consideration of productivity, there are cases in which such surplus electrodes are not discarded, but are bundled together and wound together at a standard winding diameter (lot merge).
[0007] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing how old electrodes (worn electrodes) from different lots are fed into an unwinder (UW) and connected to each other, and the connected new electrodes are wound (jointly wound) on a rewinder (RW).
[0008] As shown in the figure, the electrodes of lots A and B each have a length of 600 m. For example, if the surplus electrodes are to be joined to make a new electrode (lot C) with a total length of 3000 m, five electrodes of 600 m each can be wound together.
[0009] When connecting multiple electrodes, the start or end of one electrode is usually cut off and connected. Therefore, the length of the new electrode that is combined and wound is often different from the total length of the old electrodes (1200 m). That is, the electrodes that are unwound through the unwinder are each 600 m long and the total length is 1200 m, but the electrode that is combined and wound through the rewinder may be measured as 1000 m. Conventionally, only the total length of the new electrode C at the time of combined winding was measured by the rewinder's encoder, and the detailed configuration of the new electrode C (electrode lengths or electrode coordinate values of lots A and B) was not managed. As a result, it was not possible to know where the electrode coordinate values of the end of lot A in the new electrode C are, and where the electrode coordinate values of the start of lot B are. Therefore, when a defect occurs in a notching electrode or electrode assembly manufactured with electrodes of lot C in a later process such as notching or assembly, it was not possible to accurately know which part of lot C the electrode originated from, and therefore quality tracking to identify the cause of the defect was virtually impossible. In addition, when a problem occurred with a battery, which was a final product manufactured using electrodes from Lot C, it was possible to trace back to the notching process and find the part of the electrode from which the battery originated. However, it was not possible to determine the specific coordinates of raw material electrodes A and B for combined wound electrode C, making it difficult to accurately identify the cause of the defect.
[0010] Recently, the applicant has developed a roll map related technology that imitates the movement of an electrode moving in a roll-to-roll state in an electrode manufacturing process and displays it in a bar shape. The roll map imitates an electrode in a roll-to-roll state, and data on quality or defects can be displayed on a bar-shaped roll map displayed on a screen, so that data on quality or defects in an electrode coating process can be visually and easily understood at a glance.
[0011] Such a roll map can be created for each of the detailed processes of the electrode coating process, the roll press process, and the slitting process. For example, the information of the roll map created in the first process can be used in the second process, and the second process can remove defects by referring to the roll map of the first process. However, when the surplus electrodes are wound together to become a new electrode C as described above, if the electrode length varies as shown in FIG. 1, the coordinate values of the electrodes must be corrected according to the variation in length. If the electrode coordinate values are not corrected despite the variation in electrode length, the second process cannot perform the subsequent work accurately. In addition, when multiple electrodes are wound together as described above and a problem occurs in a product manufactured from the wound electrodes, if the length and coordinates of each electrode constituting the new electrode can be accurately shown on the roll map, quality tracking or reverse tracking can be easily performed according to the type of defect.
[0012] Therefore, there is a need for a roll map related technology that can easily track the quality of multiple electrodes when they are wound together. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0013] [Patent Document 1] Korean Patent No. 10-1731983 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0014] The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a roll map generating device for a wound electrode, which is capable of tracking quality based on electrode coordinates by accurately reflecting coordinate information of the wound electrode in a wound process in which a plurality of different electrodes are connected to each other. [Means for solving the problem]
[0015] According to one embodiment of the present invention for solving the above problem, a roll map generating device includes a position measuring device that obtains, as coordinate value data, a longitudinal position of an electrode corresponding to an amount of rotation of the rewinder when an electrode moves in a roll-to-roll state between an unwinder and a rewinder; an input device that can input an input signal indicating a start or end of rewinding when at least two or more old electrodes, each having a plurality of reference points marked at predetermined intervals, are connected to one new electrode and rewound together; a seam sensor that detects a seam, which is an old electrode connection portion of the rewound new electrode, and obtains electrode coordinate values of the seam in cooperation with the position measuring device; a reference point sensor that detects a reference point of the rewound new electrode and obtains electrode coordinate values of the reference point in cooperation with the position measuring device; and a roll map generating unit that generates a roll map simulating a new electrode moving in a roll-to-roll state based on the input signal of the input device, and displays the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes, the electrode coordinate values of the seam, and the electrode coordinate values of the reference point on the roll map in cooperation with the position measuring device, the seam sensor, and the reference point sensor.
[0016] As an example, the position measuring device is a rotary encoder that extracts the position of the electrode from the amount of rotation of a motor that drives a rewinder.
[0017] By way of example, the input device may be an automatic or manual input device.
[0018] As a specific example, the input device may be a Human Machine Interface (HMI) control button displayed on a touch screen.
[0019] As another example, the input signal is a splicing operation start or end signal for connecting the old electrodes, which is input automatically or manually.
[0020] The roll map generating unit may also include a visualization device that defines a visualization area forming a roll map that imitates the new electrode, displays the coordinate value data on the defined area, and visualizes and shows the seams and reference points in the coordinate value data of the seams and reference points.
[0021] As an example, the roll map generating unit may further include a control unit for controlling the movement of the electrode between the unwinder and the rewinder, and the control unit may be connected to the input device, the position measuring device, the seam sensor and the reference point sensor, and may transmit the input signal of the input device, coordinate value data relating to the longitudinal position of the electrode, the seam coordinate value and the reference point coordinate value data to the roll map generating unit.
[0022] As a specific example, the role map generator may be a manufacturing execution system (MES) or a component of the manufacturing execution system.
[0023] As an example, the roll map generating unit may calculate a variation in electrode length during combined winding by comparing a coordinate value of a reference point of a new electrode detected by the reference point detector with an interval between reference points marked on the old electrode, and may correct longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes on the roll map to reflect the calculated variation and display the corrected coordinate values on the roll map.
[0024] Specifically, a plurality of reference points are marked on each of the old electrodes to be wound together, and the amount of change in electrode length during winding together can be calculated by comparing the coordinate values of the reference points of the new electrode derived from each of the old electrodes with the intervals between the plurality of reference points of each of the old electrodes.
[0025] More specifically, the amount of change in electrode length during combined winding can be calculated by comparing the coordinate values of the reference points of the new electrodes derived from the respective old electrodes with the intervals between the multiple reference points of the respective old electrodes and the electrode coordinate values of the seam acquired by the seam sensor.
[0026] Additionally, the spacing between the reference points of each of the electrodes may be the same or different. Effect of the Invention
[0027] According to the present invention, a roll map that can reflect detailed coordinate information of the electrodes that are wound together can be automatically generated.
[0028] This allows easy tracking of electrode quality based on the electrode coordinates of the combined winding electrode. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0030] Hereinafter, detailed configurations of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings and various embodiments. The embodiments described below are illustratively shown to facilitate understanding of the present invention. In addition, the attached drawings are not drawn to scale to facilitate understanding of the present invention, and the dimensions of some components may be exaggerated.
[0031] Since the present invention can be modified in various ways and can have various forms, specific embodiments are illustrated in the drawings and described in detail in the text, but it is not intended to limit the present invention to the specific disclosed forms, and it should be understood that the present invention includes all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and technical scope of the present invention.
[0032] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing a roll map generating device for a combined winding electrode according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0033] The roll map generating device 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a position measuring device 10 for acquiring the longitudinal position of the electrode as coordinate value data according to the amount of rotation of the rewinder RW when the electrode moves in a roll-to-roll state between the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW, an input device 20 for inputting an input signal indicating the start or end of combined winding when at least two or more old electrodes 1, 2 each marked with a plurality of reference points at a predetermined interval are connected and combined and wound onto one new electrode 3, and a position measuring device 21 for detecting a seam T which is the old electrode connection portion of the combined and wound new electrode 3 and performing the position measurement. a seam sensor 30 for acquiring electrode coordinate values of the seam T in cooperation with the position measuring device 10; a reference point sensor 40 for detecting a reference point of the new electrode that has been wound together and acquiring electrode coordinate values of the reference point in cooperation with the position measuring device 10; and a roll map generator 60 for generating a roll map RM imitating a new electrode that moves in a roll-to-roll state based on an input signal from the input device 20, and for displaying longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes, electrode coordinate values of the seam T, and electrode coordinate values of the reference point on the roll map RM in cooperation with the position measuring device 10, the seam sensor 30, and the reference point sensor 40.
[0034] The roll map generating device 100 of the present invention includes a position measuring device 10 , an input device 20 , a seam detector 30 , a reference point detector 40 , and a roll map generating unit 60 .
[0035] In the electrode manufacturing process, the electrode is mounted between the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW. After the electrode is unwound from the unwinder UW and a predetermined process is completed, the electrode is wound by the rewinder RW to become an electrode roll. In addition, the electrode roll that has completed one process (preceding process) is mounted again between the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW of the succeeding process, and undergoes the succeeding process while moving in a roll-to-roll state. That is, the electrode manufacturing process repeats an electrode moving process in which the electrode moves in a roll-to-roll state. Therefore, if the position during such electrode movement can be expressed by coordinates, the position of the electrode in each process can be specified. In addition, if the position of the data acquisition part or the seam can be displayed by coordinates when data on quality and defects are acquired, and when an event such as an electrode breakage occurs and is connected by a seam connecting member T, history information on the quality, defects, and various events of the electrode in the process can be displayed. Since the electrodes move in response to the rotation of the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW, the longitudinal positions of the electrodes 1, 2, and 3 can be specified in response to the amount of rotation of the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW. In the present invention, the old electrodes 1 and 2 are connected and wound around the new electrode 3 by the rewinder RW, so the longitudinal positions of the electrodes are specified in response to the amount of rotation of the rewinder. Therefore, in the present invention, the coordinate value data of the longitudinal positions of the electrodes 1, 2, and 3 can be detected by a rotary encoder 10 installed on the rewinder RW. Usually, the rotary encoder 10 is installed in a motor drive unit that drives the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW, and can detect the movement distance of the electrodes in response to the motor rotation speed (amount of rotation). Therefore, when the electrodes 1, 2, and 3 move between the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW, the movement distance can be detected by the rotary encoder 10.
[0036] Equipment such as a production management system (MES) for electrode manufacturing or a control unit that controls the roll-to-roll transport process of the electrode cannot recognize that it is combined winding unless it receives a combined winding signal. As a result, it is also unable to grasp the end coordinates of the electrode 1 of lot A that is combined and wound. Therefore, the roll map generating device 100 of the present invention includes an input device 20 that can input an input signal that indicates the start or end of combined winding so that it can grasp the coordinate values of the electrodes that are combined and wound and generate a roll map RM.
[0037] At this time, a plurality of reference points are marked at a predetermined interval on the old electrodes (electrode 1 of lot A and old electrode 2 of lot B). Referring to FIG. 2, three reference points M1, M2, and M3 are marked on electrode 1 of lot A, and three reference points N1, N2, and N3 are marked on old electrode 2 of lot B. These reference points are used as a reference for calculating the amount of variation in electrode length during joint winding. In other words, if the reference points are not marked and there is no reference point sensor 40, only the electrode coordinate value of the joint is obtained by the joint sensor. In order to grasp the accurate coordinate values of each electrode (lots A and B) constituting the new electrode (lot C) reflecting the amount of variation in electrode length, the reference points and the reference point sensor 40 capable of obtaining the coordinate values of the reference points are required.
[0038] By inputting an input signal by the input device 20, it is notified to a system (e.g., MES) that the currently performed roll-to-roll transport process is a combined winding transport process. In addition, for example, the MES or a roll map generating unit 60, which is a component of the MES, generates a roll map RM of the combined winding electrode (lot C) based on the input signal. Therefore, the input device 20 of the present invention is important in that it identifies the connection factors of the electrodes and provides a roll map generation signal.
[0039] The input device 20 may be configured automatically or manually. The input device 20 in FIG. 2 is an example of a manual input device. When an operator connects the old electrode 1 of lot A and the old electrode 2 of lot B on the splicing table 21, the operator may input an input signal for starting or ending the combined winding by pressing a button of a manual input device connected to the roll map generating unit 60 at the start or end of the operation. For example, the manual input device may be an HMI (Human Machine Interface) control button 20 displayed on a touch screen. The operator may press the HMI control button before connecting the old electrodes 1 and 2 on the splicing table 21, or may press the HMI control button after connecting the old electrodes 1 and 2. The HMI control button may be generated by a known HMI formation solution such as hardware such as a data transmission device between a touch panel screen, a computer, and a roll map generating unit, or HMI generation software. Therefore, a detailed description thereof will be omitted in this specification.
[0040] The input signal may also be a splicing operation start or end signal for connecting the old electrode, which is automatically or manually input. The manually input splicing operation start or end signal may be input by the HMI control button input by the operator as described above.
[0041] FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which an input signal indicating the start of combined winding when splicing an old electrode is automatically input.
[0042] As shown in the figure, the electrode end portion 1A drawn from the old electrode roll UW1 of lot A is connected to the electrode start portion 2A drawn from another old electrode roll UW2. For example, when an electrode end signal of the old electrode roll is received by a winding diameter sensor (not shown) installed on the old electrode roll UW1 in a standby state of the other old electrode roll UW2 as shown in FIG. 3(a), the pressure roll R1 on which the old electrode end portion 1A is wound and the pressure roll R2 on which the other old electrode start portion 2A is pressed are driven to approach each other (see FIG. 3(b)). Since the double-sided tape 3 is attached to the start portion 2A of the other old electrode roll, the old electrode is bonded by the pressure of the pressure roll. After the bonding is completed, a cutter 20' installed near the old electrode end portion 1A descends to cut the old electrode, and the electrode of the other old electrode roll connected to the old electrode roll moves in a roll-to-roll state toward a rewinder (not shown). This allows the roll-to-roll transfer from the unwinder to the rewinder to be performed continuously without interruption. A support table 22 is installed on the back surface of the electrode so that the cutter 20' can easily cut the electrode. In this case, the descent (see FIG. 3(b)) or ascent (see FIG. 3(c)) of the cutter 20' serves as a signal indicating the start or end of splicing. More precisely, the operation signal of a motion detection sensor installed on a lifting cylinder or the like connected to the cutter 20' that cuts the old electrode 1 serves as the splicing start or end signal. This motion detection sensor is connected to a roll map generating unit and automatically transmits an input signal related to splicing. Based on this input signal, as described later, the roll map generating unit 60 recognizes that splicing is occurring, and generates a roll map RM based on coordinate values from the position measuring device 10 or the like.
[0043] The splice sensor 30 detects a splice or a splice connecting member T (e.g., a connecting tape) attached to the electrode when connecting the old electrode by combined winding. When the splice sensor 30 detects the splice connecting member T, the system or equipment recognizes that the electrodes have been connected for some reason. Referring to FIG. 2, the electrodes are transferred roll-to-roll from the unwinder UW to the rewinder RW, and since the combined winding input signal has already been input at the splicing table 21 on the unwinder side, when the splice sensor 30 near the rewinder RW detects the splice, it recognizes or confirms that the splice is due to combined winding.
[0044] The seam sensor 30 is connected to the rotary encoder 10 by wire or wirelessly and can obtain an encoder value when detecting the seam connecting member T. Thus, the seam sensor 30 can obtain electrode coordinate value data regarding the position of the seam connecting member T. Therefore, in order to correct the roll map coordinates, the presence of the seam connecting member T and the acquisition of its coordinate value must be preceded. The seam sensor 30 can be, for example, a color sensor. Since the connecting tape usually has a different color from the electrodes, the color sensor can detect the connecting tape, which is a part having a different color from the electrodes.
[0045] The reference point detector 40 can obtain position coordinate data of the reference points M1, M2, and M3 of the old electrode 1 in cooperation with the encoder. That is, the reference point detector 40 can obtain the encoder value at the time of detecting the reference point by being connected to the encoder by wire or wirelessly. As a result, the reference point detector 40 can obtain data on the position coordinate values of the reference points M1, M2, and M3 marked on the electrode 1. In addition, when the old electrode 1 and the old electrode 2 are spliced together and continuously moved toward the rewinder RW, the coordinate value data of the reference points N1, N2, and N3 marked on the old electrode 2 can also be obtained. The reference point detector 40 can be an OCR reader capable of reading printed characters by optical character recognition (OCR). Alternatively, a vision camera equipped with a vision sensor and capable of detecting the reference points M1, M2, M3, N1, N2, and N3 can be adopted as the reference point detector 40.
[0046] Referring again to FIG. 2, the present invention includes a roll map generator 60 that generates a roll map RM imitating the new electrode 3 moving in a roll-to-roll state based on an input signal from the input device 20, and displays the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes, the electrode coordinate values of the seams, and the electrode coordinate values of the reference points on the roll map RM in conjunction with the position measuring device 10, the seam detector 30, and the reference point detector 40.
[0047] FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of the roll map generating section 60 that generates the roll map RM of the combined winding electrode.
[0048] The roll map generator 60 may store data acquired from the position measuring device 10, the seam detector 30 and the reference point detector 40, or may include a database 61 in which information such as the length of the old electrodes, which are redundant electrodes, and the number and spacing of the reference points is stored.
[0049] The roll map generating unit 60 also includes a central processing unit 62 (calculating unit) that calculates the amount of variation in electrode length during combined winding based on the data stored in the database 61, as described below, and corrects the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes on the roll map RM to reflect the calculated amount of variation. The central processing unit 62 can also process the acquired data and issue a command to a visualization device 63 provided in the roll map generating unit 60 to visualize it.
[0050] That is, the roll map generating unit 60 includes a visualization device 63 that defines a visualization area forming a roll map that imitates the new electrode 3 and displays coordinate value data on the defined area. The visualization device 63 can visualize and display the seams and reference points at the positions of the coordinate value data of the seams and reference points.
[0051] Referring to FIG. 4, the visualization device 63 includes an acquired data input unit 63a, a roll map coordinate grasping unit 63b, and an image generating unit 63c.
[0052] First, the acquired data input unit 63a receives and inputs data from the central processing unit 62.
[0053] The roll map coordinate grasping unit 63b may define a visualization area forming the roll map and define pixel coordinate values within the visualization area for each data element of the acquired source data. At this time, when data on the specifications of the electrode roll, such as the lot number, length, and width, are input to the control unit 50 or server by registering the electrode roll information, the roll map coordinate grasping unit 63b may calculate and determine the visualization area of the roll map according to a predetermined scale conversion scale from such data on the size of the electrodes.
[0054] The coordinate grasping unit 63b can map the acquired quality or defect data and electrode (width and length) position data, and assign the mapped data on the visualization area (roll map) according to pixel coordinates.
[0055] The image generating unit 63c may express the mapped data elements assigned to each pixel coordinate in the visualization area with at least one legend. The legend means various shapes such as a circle, a square, a triangle, etc. displayed in the visualization area, or the shapes with colors. Therefore, the image generating unit 63c may visually display the longitudinal coordinate value data of the electrodes, the coordinate values of the seams, and the reference points at pixel coordinates (coordinates on the roll map) corresponding to each position data of the actual electrodes in the visualization area called a roll map, in a display unit of a pattern, shape, and color designated for each data, and embodied on the roll map, thereby generating the roll map of the present invention.
[0056] Also, based on data stored in a storage unit such as a database 61, data corresponding to a specific range of the role map can be read from the storage unit and displayed on the screen (image generation).
[0057] The size setting of the visualization area and the generation of the image by grasping the coordinates of the visualization area can be performed by various conventional user interfaces, or various programs and processing tools related to data allocation, processing, analysis, and visualization. Therefore, the role map generator 60 described above is merely an example, and is not limited to the above embodiment.
[0058] The above-mentioned roll map generating unit 60 may be a data processing system such as a manufacturing execution system (MES) or a component of the above-mentioned system. The data processing system refers to a system (including hardware and software) that performs input, processing, output, communication, etc. to perform a series of operations on data. In the electrode manufacturing process, an electrode MES is provided that manages a series of electrode manufacturing processes such as coating, pressing, and slitting. Therefore, when the above-mentioned coordinate data, inspection data, etc. are sent to the electrode MES, the above-mentioned roll map can be generated in the electrode MES.
[0059] The roll map generating apparatus 100 of the present invention may include a control unit 50 (PLC control unit) for controlling the movement of the electrode between the unwinder UW and the rewinder RW. In this case, the control unit 50 is connected to the input device 20, the position measuring device 10, the seam detector 30, and the reference point detector 40, and may transmit the input signal of the input device 20, coordinate value data relating to the longitudinal position of the electrode, seam coordinate value, and reference point coordinate value data to the roll map generating unit 60. In this case, the control unit 50 may process the coordinate value data in a form that is easy to process in the roll map generating unit 60. Since the PCL control unit 50 is connected to the encoder, etc. to control the roll-to-roll transfer of the electrode, it is more efficient in terms of data processing and management to transmit data via the control unit 50 than to transmit data directly from the encoder, etc. to a data processing system such as an electrode MES.
[0060] Furthermore, the roll map generating device 100 of the present invention displays the generated roll map on the display unit 70, allowing data relating to the combined winding electrodes to be visually and easily grasped at a glance (see Figs. 2 and 4).
[0061] The roll map generator 60 can calculate the amount of change in electrode length during combined winding by comparing the coordinate value of the reference point of the new electrode 3 detected by the reference point detector 40 with the interval between the reference points marked on the old electrodes 1 and 2, and can correct the longitudinal coordinate value of the electrode on the roll map RM to reflect the calculated amount of change and display it on the roll map RM. In this way, it is possible to create a roll map RM of combined winding electrodes having coordinates that can reflect the actual new electrode 3 whose electrode length has been changed during combined winding.
[0062] Specifically, the old electrodes to be wound together are each marked with a plurality of reference points M1, M2, M3, N1, N2, and N3, and the amount of change in electrode length when wound together can be calculated by comparing the coordinate values of the reference points of the new electrode 3 derived from each of the old electrodes 1 and 2 with the intervals between the plurality of reference points of each of the old electrodes.
[0063] In addition, since the roll map RM is a roll map of the combined winding electrodes, it is only after the coordinate position of the seam is identified that the end point of the old electrode 1 and the start point of the old electrode 2 to be combined and wound can be identified. Moreover, by comparing not only the coordinate values of the reference points of the new electrodes derived from the respective old electrodes and the intervals between the multiple reference points of each of the old electrodes, but also the electrode coordinate values of the seam obtained by the seam sensor, the amount of change in electrode length during combined winding can be calculated more accurately.
[0064] Hereinafter, a process of creating a roll map using the roll map generating device for a combined winding electrode of the present invention will be described with reference to various embodiments.
[0065] (First embodiment) FIG. 5 shows an example of a role map generated by the role map generating device 100 of the present invention.
[0066] The top view of FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram of the surplus electrodes that need to be wound together, showing the old electrodes 1 and 2 that are inserted from the unwinder side. Each of the old electrodes 1 and 2 is marked with a plurality of reference points M1, M2, M3, N1, N2, and N3 at a predetermined interval. The intervals between the reference points of each old electrode may be the same or different. When the old electrodes are wound together, the reference points also remain on the new electrode. Therefore, even if the intervals between the reference points of the old electrodes are different, there is no problem in calculating the amount of change in the electrode length by comparing the reference points, since they correspond to the intervals between the reference points of each remaining old electrode portion of the new electrode. However, in the following embodiment, for the sake of convenience of explanation, the intervals between the reference points marked on the different old electrodes 1 and 2 are made equal. The old electrodes of Lot A, which is 600m in length, have reference points M1, M2, and M3 marked at the 100, 300, and 500m points, while the old electrodes of Lot B, which is 600m in length, have reference points N1, N2, and N3 marked at the 100, 300, and 500m points.
[0067] In this embodiment, old electrodes 1 and 2 of lots A and B are wound together, but there is no variation in electrode length. The illustrated roll map RM shows the electrodes wound by the rewinder unwound in the longitudinal direction, and imitates a new electrode 3 moving in a roll-to-roll state. The coordinate values displayed on the roll map RM are the coordinate values at the time of each winding by the rewinder RW, and include coordinate values acquired by a joint sensor 30 and a reference point sensor 40 linked to a position measuring device 10 of the rewinder.
[0068] As described above, when a rewinding start or end signal is transmitted to the roll map generator 60 by the input device 20, the roll map generator 60 displays the coordinate value data sensed by the reference point detector 40, the seam detector 30, and the rewinder position measuring device 10 on a bar-shaped roll map to generate a roll map RM.
[0069] In the first embodiment, there is no change in the electrode length of lots A and B, the electrode end of lot A is 600 m, and the seam detector 30 detects the seam connection member T at this coordinate. Since there is no change in the electrode length, the interval between each reference point is also not changed. Therefore, the upper drawing of FIG. 5 (roll map of the old electrode on the unwinder input side or roll map of absolute coordinates) and the lower drawing (roll map of the new electrode on the rewinder discharge side or roll map of relative coordinates) are substantially identical, and there is no change in the coordinate values. Such combined winding is ideal, and actual combined winding involves changes in electrode length as in the following embodiment. The roll map generating device 100 of the present invention identifies the coordinates (600 m) of the seam in the new electrode of lot C, and the lengths of lots A and B (600 m each). However, the reference point coordinate values in the old electrode lot B are combined and wound into the new electrode C, and are displayed after being added to the coordinate values of the old electrode A (in the lower drawing of FIG. 5, N1, N2, and N3 are changed from 100, 300, and 500 to 700, 900, and 1100, respectively). As described above, according to the present invention, the seam coordinates in the new electrode C, and the lengths and reference point coordinate values of the old electrodes constituting the new electrode C are clearly specified, so that even if a defect occurs in a subsequent process, quality tracking can be easily performed using the roll map of the new electrode C.
[0070] Second embodiment FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing an example of a roll map RM in which the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes are corrected and displayed by the roll map generating device 100 of the present invention.
[0071] In this embodiment, the end of old electrode 1 of lot A is cut off by 50 m, and then connected to the beginning of old electrode 2 of lot B at a joint. Taking into account the cut off end C1, the distance between reference point M3 of old electrode 1 of lot A and the coordinate value of joint T is changed to 50 m. Therefore, the length of old electrode 1 of lot A is 550 m, and the coordinate value of the joint, which is the end of old electrode 1, is also 550.
[0072] Since old electrodes 1 and 2 are connected at the 550m point, the coordinate of the starting end of old electrode 2 is also 550m. In this case, the interval between the reference points of old electrode 2 is not changed, so the roll map (relative coordinates) of new electrode C can be obtained by adding each length of old electrode 2 to the coordinate value of old electrode 1 of 550m. From the roll map information of new electrode C, the length of the old electrodes of lot A is 550m, and the amount of change in the electrode length at the time of combining and winding can be grasped (total length reduced by 50m) due to the change in the interval of the reference points of lot A (the interval between reference point M3 and the end part is reduced from 100 to 50). Also, from the roll map information of new electrode C, the length of the old electrodes of lot B that make up new electrode C is 600m, which is not changed, but the electrode coordinate value is changed to a value that adds the electrode length of lot A at the time of combining and winding.
[0073] According to this embodiment, the seam coordinates of the new electrode C, the length of the old electrodes constituting the new electrode C, and the reference point coordinate values are clearly identified, so that even if a defect occurs in a subsequent process, quality tracking can be easily performed using the roll map of the new electrode C.
[0074] Third embodiment FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram showing an example of a roll map RM in which the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes are corrected and displayed by the roll map generating device of the present invention.
[0075] In this embodiment, the roll map shows a case where 50 m of the end portion of the old electrode 1 of lot A is cut off, 50 m of the beginning portion of lot B is also cut off, and then lots A and B are connected at a joint. Considering the cut end portions C1 and C2, the distance between the reference point M3 of the old electrode 1 of lot A and the coordinate value of the joint is changed to 50 m. Therefore, the length of the old electrode 1 of lot A is 550 m, and the coordinate value of the joint, which is the end portion of the old electrode 1, is also 550.
[0076] Since the starting end of the old electrode 2 was also cut off by 50 m, the distance between the reference point N1 and the cut off starting end is changed to 50 m. When the coordinate values of the subsequent reference points N2, N3 and the end end of the old electrode 2 are corrected to reflect this, the bottom view of Figure 7 is obtained. The top view of Figure 7 can be regarded as a roll map of absolute coordinates showing the cut parts C1 and C2, and the bottom view of Figure 7 can be regarded as a roll map of relative coordinates showing the cut parts C1 and C2 already reflected.
[0077] From the lower drawing in Figure 7, it can be seen that the length of old electrode 1 is 550 m, the length of old electrode 2 is also 550 m, and the total length of new electrode 3 is 1100 m.
[0078] In this way, by comparing the coordinate value of the reference point of the new electrode 3 detected by the reference point sensor 40 with the distance between the reference points marked on the old electrodes 1 and 2, the amount of change in electrode length during combined winding can be easily calculated.
[0079] In addition, the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes on the roll map RM are corrected from the absolute coordinates to reflect the amount of change in length calculated when creating the roll map of new electrode C, and are then displayed.
[0080] In this embodiment, the joint coordinates (550 m), the lengths of the old electrodes that make up the new electrode C (each 550 m), and the reference point coordinate values are clearly identified for the length of the new electrode C (1,100 m), so that even if a defect occurs in a subsequent process, quality tracking can be easily performed using the roll map of the new electrode C.
[0081] (Fourth embodiment) FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram showing various embodiments of roll maps in which the longitudinal coordinate values of the electrodes are corrected and displayed by the roll map generating device of the present invention.
[0082] In this embodiment, 50 m of the end portion of the old electrode 1 of lot A is cut off, and 50 m of the starting end portion of the old electrode 2 of lot B is also cut off, and then 100 m of the end portion of lot B is cut off and joined and wound around the new electrode C. Considering the cut-off end portion C1, the distance between the reference point M3 of the old electrode of lot A and the coordinate value of the joint is changed to 50 m. Therefore, the length of the old electrode 1 of lot A is 550 m, and the coordinate value of the joint, which is the end portion of the old electrode 1, is also 550.
[0083] Since the starting end of the old electrode 2 was also cut off by 50m, the distance between the reference point N1 and the cut off starting end C2 is changed to 50m. The coordinate values of the succeeding reference points N2, N3 and the end of the old electrode 2 are corrected to reflect this. In addition, the coordinate values of the end of the old electrode 2 are also corrected to reflect the cut off portion C3 of 100m, resulting in the lower drawing of Figure 8.
[0084] From the lower drawing of Figure 8, it can be seen that the length of old electrode 1 is 550m, the length of old electrode 2 is 450m, and the total length of new electrode 3 is 1000m. In addition, the reference point coordinate values of the new electrode derived from each old electrode were also corrected to correspond to the above-mentioned change in electrode length.
[0085] According to this embodiment, the joint coordinates (550 m), the lengths of the old electrodes constituting the new electrode C (A: 550 m, B: 450 m), and the coordinate values of each reference point are clearly identified for the length (1000 m) of the new electrode C, so that even if a defect occurs in a subsequent process, quality tracking can be easily performed using the roll map RM of the new electrode C.
