Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a wall-penetrating member and a fixing structure for the wall-penetrating member. [Background technology]
[0002] Wall-penetrating members are known as pipe joints that are installed in holes that open building walls and communicate between the inside and outside of the building. As shown in Patent Document 1, for example, the wall-penetrating member has an outer fixing ring, a packing, a middle fixing ring, and an inner fixing ring arranged in this order from the outdoor side to the indoor side around the joint body of the wall-penetrating member. The arranged wall-penetrating member can be moved on the axis to the indoor side or the outdoor side by screwing the outer fixing ring, the middle fixing ring, the inner fixing ring, etc.
[0003] This wall-penetrating member uses the packing to compress the packing against the building wall with the outer fixing ring, thereby sealing off water between the building wall and the outer fixing ring. Also, by compressing the packing against the inner fixing ring with the outer fixing ring, the packing is compressed and deformed to fit the screw groove of the joint body, thereby sealing off water between the joint body and the outer fixing ring. This makes it possible to install the wall-penetrating member in a waterproof state against the building wall. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2022-26340 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, in the conventional wall-penetrating member, the packing is pressed against the middle fixed ring by rotating and screwing the outer fixed ring into the screw groove of the joint body. Therefore, it is considered that the packing rotates when the outer fixed ring rotates, and the middle fixed ring rotates with it. If the middle fixed ring rotates, the packing cannot be appropriately compressed into the screw groove of the joint body. For this reason, it is necessary to perform an operation to suppress the rotation of the middle fixed ring when the outer fixed ring rotates.
[0006] Furthermore, in order to appropriately compress the packing into the screw groove of the joint body, it is necessary to tighten the packing by a certain amount and control the amount of deformation that bulges into the screw groove. However, the middle fixed ring and the outer fixed ring are screwed into the screw groove of the joint body. Therefore, the middle fixed ring and the outer fixed ring move freely in the axial direction of the joint body. For this reason, it is necessary to perform tasks such as measuring the length to position the outer fixed ring and the middle fixed ring. However, these tasks take time and require skill.
[0007] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and has an object to provide a wall-penetrating member and a fixing structure for the wall-penetrating member that can easily stop water from entering between a building wall and the wall-penetrating member. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] A wall-penetrating member according to one embodiment of the present invention has a fitting body that is installed in a through hole formed in a wall and has a main body portion having a screw groove formed on its outer circumference, and a flange that is provided on the main body portion and is arranged on one side of the wall, the flange having an outer diameter larger than the through hole; a first ring that is arranged on the other side of the wall, the outer diameter formed larger than the through hole and screws into the screw groove; and a gasket that is installed on the outer circumference between the wall and the flange, the outer diameter formed larger than the through hole, and is sandwiched between the wall and the flange and compressed between the wall and the flange, such that the inner circumference reduces inward in the radial direction. Effect of the Invention
[0009] According to the present invention, water can be easily stopped between a building wall and a wall-penetrating member. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0011] Hereinafter, a wall-penetrating member and a fixing structure for the wall-penetrating member according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figs. [First embodiment] As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the wall-penetrating member 1 is a pipe joint that is installed in a hole (penetrating hole) 102 that is formed in a wall 100 and penetrates one side and the other side of the wall 100. The wall 100 has a recess 105, for example, on a surface 100a facing the outdoors 103. The recess 105 is formed coaxially with the hole 102. The recess 105 has an inner peripheral surface 106 and a bottom surface 107. The inner peripheral surface 106 is formed in a circular shape. The bottom surface 107 is formed parallel to the surface 100a of the wall 100 facing the outdoors 103. In the first embodiment, the wall 100 may be referred to as a building wall 100. Also, the bottom surface 107 may be referred to as an outer wall surface 107 of the building wall 100. Furthermore, in FIG. 1, the right side (one side) of the building wall 100 will be described as an outdoor portion 103, and the left side (the other side) of the building wall 100 will be described as an indoor portion 104.
[0012] The wall-penetrating member 1 includes, for example, a tubular member 2, a first ring 3, and a packing 4. The tubular member 2 is formed in a tubular shape. The tubular member 2 has a through hole 2a (see Figs. 4 and 5) that penetrates in the axial direction. A female screw to which a water faucet can be connected may be provided on the inner peripheral surface of the outdoor end of the through hole 2a. The tubular member 2 is a pipe joint that penetrates a hole 102 in a building wall 100. The tubular member 2 is formed of, for example, a metal such as bronze or brass, or resin. The tubular member 2 includes a joint body 10, an extension portion 11, and a one-touch joint 12.
[0013] As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 to FIG. 5, the joint body 10 has a body portion 15 and a flange 16. The body portion 15 is formed to have a smaller diameter than the hole 102 of the building wall 100. The body portion 15 extends linearly along the hole 102 and is installed in the hole 102. The body portion 15 has a screw groove (male screw groove) 17 and a circumferential surface 18. The screw groove 17 is provided on the outer periphery (surface) of the body portion 15. The screw groove 17 is formed in the axial direction 20 of the body portion 15 from the left end portion (end portion on the indoor 104 side) 15a to the vicinity of the right end portion (end portion on the outdoor 103 side) 15b. In addition, on the outer periphery of the body portion 15, a circumferential surface 18 is provided between the right end portion 17a of the screw groove 17 and the flange 16 described later.
[0014] The circumferential surface 18 is formed, for example, to be at least 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove 17 and equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the hole 102 in the wall 100. The outer diameter of the screw groove 17 is the diameter of a circle formed by the threads of the screw groove 17 (not the circle formed by the roots of the screw groove). The circumferential surface 18 is a surface that does not screw into the first ring 3 described below. The circumferential surface 18 is formed in a flat circular shape. The packing 4 described below is disposed radially outside the circumferential surface 18. The circumferential surface 18 comes into contact with the inner peripheral portion 4a of the packing 4.
[0015] Further, a flange 16 is integrally provided on the right end portion 15b of the main body portion 15. The flange 16 is disposed on the outdoor 103 side of the building wall 100. The flange 16 expands in diameter radially outward from the right end portion 15b of the main body portion 15. The outer periphery of the flange 16 is formed in a circular shape. The outer diameter of the flange 16 is formed to be larger than the hole 102 and smaller than the inner circumferential surface 106 of a recess 105 formed in the wall 100. The flange 16 is disposed parallel to the bottom surface 107 of the recess 105 (the outer wall surface 107 of the building wall 100).
[0016] As shown in Figs. 3 and 6, for example, an extension portion 11 is provided integrally with the left end portion 15a of the main body portion 15. The extension portion 11 extends linearly from the left end portion of the main body portion 15 toward the indoor space 104. The extension portion 11 is disposed coaxially with the main body portion 15. The extension portion 11 is formed in a tubular shape. The extension portion 11 has a pair of flat surfaces 21. The pair of flat surfaces 21 are provided at opposing positions on the outer circumferential surface of the extension portion 11.
[0017] As shown in Fig. 3, for example, a one-touch joint 12 is provided at the tip of the extension portion 11. The one-touch joint 12 extends linearly from the tip of the extension portion 11 toward the indoor 104 side. The one-touch joint 12 is arranged coaxially with the extension portion 11 and the main body portion 15. The one-touch joint 12 is formed with a smaller diameter than the outer diameter of the screw groove 17. The one-touch joint 12 is a commonly known joint. Note that a joint, piping, etc. other than the one-touch joint 12 may be attached to the tip of the extension portion 11. Hereinafter, the axis 20 of the main body 15 may be abbreviated as "axis 20." The direction of the axis 20 may be abbreviated as "axial direction," and the radial direction of the main body 15 may be abbreviated as "radial direction."
[0018] As shown in Figs. 1 and 7, a packing 4 containing an elastic material is installed on a circumferential surface 18 between the screw groove 17 and the flange 16 in the main body 15. The packing 4 is formed in an annular shape. The packing 4 is made of an elastic material such as ethylene propylene diene diene rubber (EPDM). The outer diameter of the packing 4 is larger than the hole 102 and smaller than the inner circumferential surface 106 of the recess 105. The packing 4 is installed between an outer wall surface 107 of the building wall 100 and the flange 16. The packing 4 is sandwiched between the outer wall surface 107 and the flange 16 and compressed and deformed by screwing a first ring 3, which will be described later, into the screw groove 17 and moving it toward the packing 4.
[0019] The inner diameter of the packing 4 is 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the circumferential surface 18. The inner diameter of the packing 4 is set so that the packing 4 can be fitted into the one-touch joint 12 and the extension portion 11. Note that the inner diameter of the packing 4 here means the inner diameter when the packing 4 is not compressed and deformed (unloaded state). In other words, the inner diameter of the packing 4 is the size when it is assumed that the packing 4 is not compressed between the outer wall surface 107 and the flange 16. The packing 4 is compressed between the outer wall surface 107 and the flange 16, so that the inner periphery 4a of the packing 4 shrinks radially inward and the inner diameter of the packing 4 decreases.
[0020] The thickness of the packing 4 is 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less. Here, the minimum thickness of the packing 4 is set to be 1 time or more the maximum unevenness height of the outer wall surface 107 that comes into contact with the packing 4. The thickness of the packing 4 here means the thickness of the packing 4 in a state where it is not compressed and deformed (unloaded state). In other words, the thickness of the packing 4 is the size on the assumption that the packing 4 is not compressed between the outer wall surface 107 and the flange 16. The outer wall surface 107 is a wall surface that comes into contact with the packing 4 (specifically, the side surface 4b of the packing 4), and in this embodiment, is the bottom surface 107 of the recess 105. The maximum unevenness height of the outer wall surface 107 can be measured, for example, by a contact-type surface roughness meter or a non-contact 3D shape measuring instrument such as a laser. For example, the maximum unevenness height is 1 mm, and the thickness of the packing 4 is 5 mm.
[0021] As shown in Figs. 1, 8 and 9, the building wall 100 has an inner wall surface 100b on the side opposite to the flange 16. That is, the inner wall surface 100b is the surface of the building wall 100 on the side opposite to the flange 16. A first ring 3 is screwed to the main body 15 of the tubular member 2. The first ring 3 is disposed on the inner wall surface (the other side) 100b of the building wall 100. The first ring 3 is formed in an annular shape. The first ring 3 has a screw groove (female screw groove) 24 on its inner circumferential surface. The screw groove 24 of the first ring 3 is formed so as to screw into the screw groove 17 of the main body 15. The screw groove 24 of the first ring 3 is set so that the first ring 3 can be fitted into the one-touch joint 12 and the extension part 11.
[0022] The first ring 3 has a hexagonal portion 26, an expanded diameter portion 27, and a protrusion 28. The outer periphery of the hexagonal portion 26 is formed into a hexagonal surface. By rotating the hexagonal portion 26 with a tool, the screw groove 24 of the first ring 3 is screwed into the screw groove 17 of the main body portion 15. The expanded diameter portion 27 is provided on the flange 16 side (the inner wall surface 100b side) of the hexagonal portion 26. The expanded diameter portion 27 protrudes radially outward relative to the hexagonal portion 26 and the protruding portion 28 (described later). The outer periphery of the expanded diameter portion 27 is formed in a circular shape. The outer diameter of the expanded diameter portion 27 is formed to be larger than the hole 102. The expanded diameter portion 27 has an outer diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the screw groove 24. The outer diameter of the expanded diameter portion 27 is preferably 1.1 to 6 times the inner diameter of the screw groove 24. In other words, the outer diameter of the first ring 3 is preferably 1.1 to 6 times the inner diameter of the first ring 3. The inner diameter of the screw groove 24 is the diameter of a circle formed by the threads of the screw groove 24 (not the circle formed by the roots of the screw groove 24).
[0023] The enlarged diameter portion 27 has an end surface 27a facing the axial direction of the main body portion 15. The end surface 27a facing the axial direction of the main body portion 15 is arranged parallel to the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100. Hereinafter, the end surface 27a facing the axial direction of the main body portion 15 may be referred to as the "parallel surface 27a." The parallel surface 27a is in surface contact with the inner wall surface 100b. A protrusion 28 is integrally provided on the parallel surface 27a. The protrusion 28 protrudes from the parallel surface 27a coaxially with the axis 20 (i.e., in the axial direction) toward the hole 102. The protrusion 28 is formed in an annular shape. The screw groove 24 of the first ring 3 is provided continuously on the inner peripheral surface of the protrusion 28. The outer peripheral surface of the protrusion 28 is formed to have a smaller diameter than the inner diameter of the hole 102. Thus, the protrusion 28 can be inserted into the hole 102.
[0024] Next, a procedure (construction method) for fixing the wall-penetrating member 1 to the building wall 100 will be described with reference to Figs. First, the annular packing 4 is fitted into the main body 15 from the one-touch joint 12 side of the wall-penetrating member 1. The packing 4 fitted into the main body 15 is placed on the circumferential surface 18. By placing the packing 4 on the circumferential surface 18, the packing 4 comes into contact with the flange 16. After the packing 4 is placed on the circumferential surface 18 and brought into contact with the flange 16, the wall-penetrating member 1 is passed through the hole 102 in the building wall 100 from the one-touch joint 12 side. The main body 15 is placed in the hole 102 in the building wall 100, and the packing 4 comes into contact with the outer wall surface 107 of the building wall 100.
[0025] In this state, the first ring 3 is fitted from the one-touch joint 12 side to the main body 15. After fitting the first ring 3 to the main body 15, the screw groove 24 of the first ring 3 is screwed into the screw groove 17 provided in the main body 15. The first ring 3 screwed into the screw groove 17 is rotated. When the first ring 3 is rotated, the pair of flat surfaces 21 (see also FIG. 6 ) of the extension 11 suppresses the rotation of the wall penetrating member 1. The parallel surfaces 27a of the first ring 3 come into contact with the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100, and the protrusions 28 of the first ring 3 are inserted into the holes 102. By continuing to rotate the first ring 3, the packing 4 is sandwiched and compressed between the flange 16 and the outer wall surface 107.
[0026] By appropriately compressing the packing 4 by tightening it by a certain amount with the flange 16 and the outer wall surface 107, a tensile force is generated that moves the tubular member 2 to the outdoor 103 side. Therefore, the parallel surface 27a of the first ring 3 is pressed against the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100. This allows the wall penetrating member 1 to be fixed to the building wall 100 by the flange 16 and the first ring 3. Furthermore, the packing 4 is compressed by the flange 16 and the outer wall surface 107. At this time, the inner peripheral portion 4a of the packing 4 may bulge radially inward so as to be pressed against the circumferential surface 18. This completes the construction procedure for fixing the wall-penetrating member 1 to the building wall 100, and a fixed structure for the wall-penetrating member 1 is formed.
[0027] According to the wall-penetrating member 1 and the fixing structure of the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment described above, as shown in Fig. 1, the flange 16 is integrally provided with the main body 15, and the flange 16 is disposed on the outdoor 103 side of the building wall 100. In addition, the packing 4 is disposed between the building wall 100 and the flange 16, and the packing 4 is compressed between the building wall 100 and the flange 16. In this way, the gap between the building wall 100 and the flange 16 can be sealed with the packing 4, and the gap between the building wall 100 and the flange 16 can be easily waterproofed. Also, by providing the flange 16 integrally with the main body 15, it is no longer necessary to compress the packing between the outer and inner fixed rings to seal the gap between the screw groove and the outer fixed ring, as was done in the prior art. Furthermore, it is no longer necessary to measure the length of the outer and inner fixed rings in order to position them. In addition, by compressing the packing 4 between the building wall 100 and the flange 16, the inner periphery 4a of the packing 4 is reduced inward in the radial direction. Therefore, the gap between the packing 4 and the main body 15 can be sealed to easily stop water from entering between the packing 4 and the main body 15. In this way, the flange 16 is integrally provided on the main body 15, and the packing 4 arranged between the building wall 100 and the flange 16 is compressed. This makes it possible to seal water between the flange 16 and the building wall 100, and also between the packing 4 and the main body 15. This makes it possible to easily seal water between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 1.
[0028] In addition, there is no need to fill the opening between the hole 102 in the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 1 with, for example, a paste-like sealant (caulking material) to ensure waterproofing between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 1. This makes it possible to easily waterproof the area between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 1 without requiring skill in the task of fixing the wall-penetrating member 1 to the hole 102 in the building wall 100.
[0029] In addition, the main body 15 has a circumferential surface 18 on its outer periphery, and the packing 4 is provided on the circumferential surface 18. Therefore, for example, the circumferential surface 18 can be used as a relief machining portion when machining the screw groove 17. This allows the screw groove 17 to be machined appropriately on the main body 15.
[0030] The outer diameter of the expanded diameter portion 27 of the first ring 3 is larger than the hole 102. Further, the expanded diameter portion 27 has an outer diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the screw groove 24. In particular, it is desirable that the outer diameter of the expanded diameter portion 27 be 1.1 times or more and 6 times or less the inner diameter of the screw groove 24. Here, if the outer diameter of the first ring 3 is less than 1.1 times the inner diameter, it is difficult to secure a sufficient area for the first ring 3 to contact the inner wall surface 100b. For this reason, for example, when the first ring 3 is screwed into the screw groove 17 to compress the packing 4, the building wall 100 that receives the reaction force of the first ring 3 may be chipped or scraped by the reaction force, causing the first ring 3 to enter the hole 102 of the building wall 100.
[0031] On the other hand, if the outer diameter of the first ring 3 is more than six times the inner diameter, the outer diameter of the first ring 3 is too large. This may result in, for example, troublesome construction when screwing the first ring 3 into the main body 15, or economical disadvantage (high cost). Therefore, the outer diameter of the first ring 3 is set to 1.1 times or more and 6 times or less than the inner diameter. This allows the first ring 3 to have a suitable shape. This makes it possible to prevent the first ring 3 from entering the hole 102 when the first ring 3 is screwed into the screw groove 17. Furthermore, it is possible to improve workability and economy.
[0032] Furthermore, the first ring 3 is provided with a parallel surface 27a. The parallel surface 27a contacts the inner wall surface 100b. The first ring 3 is also provided with a protrusion 28, which has a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the hole 102. Therefore, the protrusion 28 can be inserted into the hole 102 with the parallel surface 27a in contact with the inner wall surface 100b. As a result, when the protrusion 28 is inserted into the hole 102, the parallel surface 27a contacts the inner wall surface 100b, and the main body 15 can be easily positioned in the axial direction. Furthermore, by inserting the protrusions 28 into the holes 102, the main body 15 can be easily positioned along the holes 102 by the protrusions 28. Therefore, for example, the operation of compressing the packing 4 with the first ring 3 can be easily carried out.
[0033] Here, if the inner diameter of the packing 4 is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the circumferential surface 18, it becomes difficult to fit the packing 4 onto the circumferential surface 18, which may result in time-consuming installation or the inner portion of the packing 4 getting caught on the circumferential surface 18, causing the packing 4 to be damaged from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the packing 4 is set to be 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the circumferential surface 18. This makes it possible to improve the ease of installation when fixing the wall penetrating member 1 to the building wall 100, and the like.
[0034] Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing 4 is less than 0.1 mm, the thickness of the packing 4 is too small. Therefore, for example, when compressing the packing 4 with the flange 16, it is difficult to press the packing 4 along the building wall 100. Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing 4 exceeds 10 mm, the packing 4 becomes too thick. Therefore, for example, it is difficult to sufficiently compress the packing 4 with the flange 16, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of watertightness. Therefore, the thickness of the packing 4 is set to 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less. This allows the packing 4 to be pressed along the building wall 100 when the flange 16 compresses the packing 4, and allows the packing 4 to seal off water between the building wall 100 and the flange 16.
[0035] In addition, the packing 4 is made to come into contact with the circumferential surface 18. Here, if the circumferential surface 18 is made less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove 17, the outer diameter of the circumferential surface 18 is too small. For this reason, it is difficult to press the inner circumferential portion 4a of the packing 4 satisfactorily against the entire circumferential surface 18 when the inner circumferential portion 4a is contracted radially inward. Also, if the circumferential surface 18 exceeds the inner diameter of the hole 102, the outer diameter of the circumferential surface 18 is too large to insert into the hole 102.
[0036] Therefore, the circumferential surface 18 is set to be at least 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove 17 and equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the hole 102. This allows the inner circumferential portion 4a of the packing 4 to be pressed well against the entire circumferential surface 18 when the inner circumferential portion 4a of the packing 4 is contracted radially inward, thereby improving the sealing performance. This allows for good watertightness between the packing 4 and the main body 15. Furthermore, the circumferential surface 18 can be inserted well into the hole 102.
[0037] Next, a wall penetrating member and a fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of a modified example of the first embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 10. Note that in the wall penetrating member and the fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of the modified example, components that are the same as or similar to those of the wall penetrating member and the fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0038] [Variations] As shown in FIG. 10, the wall-penetrating member 50 has a main body 52 instead of the main body 15 in the tubular member 2 of the first embodiment, and the other configurations are the same as those of the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment. The main body 52 is integrally provided with a flange 16, similar to the main body 15 of the first embodiment. The main body 52 has a screw groove (male screw groove) 53. The screw groove 53 is formed over the entire outer periphery of the main body 52 in the axial direction. Therefore, when the packing 4 is fitted into the main body 52 and in contact with the flange 16, the packing 4 is installed in the screw groove 53. The screw groove 53 comes into contact with the inner periphery 4a of the packing 4.
[0039] The inner diameter of the packing 4 is 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the screw groove 53. The outer diameter of the screw groove 53 is the diameter of a circle formed by the threads of the screw groove 53 (not the circle formed by the thread roots). In addition, the thickness of the packing 4 is 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less, as described in the first embodiment.
[0040] According to the wall-penetrating member 50 and the fixing structure of the wall-penetrating member 50 of the modified example of the first embodiment described above, the flange 16 is provided integrally with the main body 52, similarly to the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment. Therefore, by compressing the packing 4 arranged between the building wall 100 (see FIG. 1 ) and the flange 16, it is possible to seal water between the flange 16 and the building wall 100, and also between the packing 4 and the main body 52. This makes it possible to easily seal water between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 50.
[0041] Furthermore, by placing the packing 4 in the screw groove 53, the screw groove 53 can be formed over the entire outer periphery of the main body 52. This eliminates the need to form the circumferential surface 18 (see FIG. 3) on the main body 52, and allows the main body 52 to be easily formed.
[0042] Here, if the inner diameter of the packing 4 is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove 53, it becomes difficult to fit the packing 4 into the screw groove 53, which may result in time-consuming installation or the inner periphery of the packing 4 may get caught in the screw groove 53, causing the packing 4 to be damaged from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the packing 4 is set to 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the screw groove 53. This makes it possible to improve the ease of installation when fixing the wall penetrating member 50 to the building wall 100, and the like.
[0043] Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing 4 is less than 0.1 mm, the thickness of the packing 4 is too small. Therefore, for example, when compressing the packing 4 with the flange 16, it is difficult to press the packing 4 along the building wall 100 (see FIG. 1). Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing 4 exceeds 10 mm, the packing 4 becomes too thick. Therefore, for example, it is difficult to sufficiently compress the packing 4 with the flange 16, which is undesirable from the viewpoint of watertightness.
[0044] Furthermore, the packing 4 is adapted to come into contact with the screw groove 53. Therefore, by reducing the diameter of the inner peripheral portion 4a of the packing 4 inward in the radial direction, the inner peripheral portion 4a can be pressed favorably against the screw groove 53. This allows the gap between the packing 4 and the screw groove 53 (i.e., the main body portion 52) to be favorably sealed. Therefore, the gap between the packing 4 and the main body portion 52 can be favorably sealed.
[0045] Furthermore, according to the wall penetrating member 50 and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member 50 of the modified example of the first embodiment, it is possible to obtain the same actions and effects as the wall penetrating member 1 and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment.
[0046] Next, a wall penetrating member and a fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 11 and 12. Note that in the wall penetrating member and the fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of the second embodiment, components that are the same as or similar to those in the wall penetrating member and the fixing structure for the wall penetrating member of the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0047] [Second embodiment] 11 and 12, a wall-penetrating member 80 is obtained by adding another packing 82 to the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment and replacing the first ring 3 of the first embodiment with a first ring 83, with the remaining configuration being similar to that of the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment. In the following description, the other packing 82 will be referred to as the "second packing 82" and the packing 4 as the "first packing 4."
[0048] The first ring 83 is the same as the first ring 3 in the first embodiment except that the protrusion 28 of the first ring 3 is replaced with a protrusion 84. The protrusion 84 protrudes from the parallel surface 27a of the enlarged diameter portion 27 in the axial direction toward the hole 102. The protrusion 84 is formed in an annular shape. The screw groove 24 of the first ring 83 is continuously provided on the inner peripheral surface of the protrusion 84. The outer peripheral surface of the protrusion 84 is formed to have a smaller diameter than the inner diameter of the hole 102. Therefore, the protrusion 84 can be inserted into the hole 102. The protrusion 84 has a length equal to or larger than the thickness of the second packing 82 and smaller than the depth of the hole 102. The enlarged diameter portion 27 has an outer diameter larger than the hole 102. The enlarged diameter portion 27 has an outer diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the screw groove 24.
[0049] The second packing 82 is installed between the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100 and the enlarged diameter portion 27 (specifically, the parallel surface 27a) of the first ring 83. The outer diameter of the second packing 82 is formed to be larger than the hole 102. The second packing 82 is sandwiched between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a and compressed between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a, whereby the inner peripheral portion 82a is reduced in diameter radially inward and the inner diameter is reduced.
[0050] The inner diameter of the second packing 82 is 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the protrusion 84. The inner diameter of the second packing 82 is set so that the second packing 82 can be fitted into the one-touch joint 12 and the extension 11. The inner diameter of the second packing 82 here means the inner diameter when the second packing 82 is not compressed and deformed (unloaded state). In other words, the inner diameter of the second packing 82 is a size assuming that the second packing 82 is not compressed between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a. The second packing 82 is compressed between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a, so that the inner periphery 82a of the second packing 82 is contracted radially inward and the inner diameter of the second packing 82 is reduced.
[0051] The thickness of the second packing 82 is 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less. Here, the minimum thickness of the second packing 82 is set to be 1 time or more the maximum unevenness height of the inner wall surface 100b that contacts the second packing 82. Here, the thickness of the second packing 82 means the thickness when the second packing 82 is not compressed and deformed (unloaded state). In other words, the thickness of the second packing 82 is the size on the assumption that the second packing 82 is not compressed between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a. The inner wall surface 100b is a wall surface that comes into contact with the second packing 82 (specifically, the side surface 82b of the second packing 82). The maximum unevenness height of the inner wall surface 100b can be measured, for example, by a contact-type surface roughness meter or a non-contact 3D shape measuring instrument such as a laser. For example, the maximum unevenness height is 1 mm, and the thickness of the second packing 82 is 5 mm.
[0052] According to the wall-penetrating member 80 and the fixing structure of the wall-penetrating member 80 of the second embodiment described above, similarly to the wall-penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment, the flange 16 is integrally provided on the main body 15, so that the gap between the outer wall surface 107 of the building wall 100 and the flange 16 can be easily watertight. Furthermore, the second packing 82 is installed between the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100 and the parallel surface 27a of the first ring 83, so that the second packing 82 is sandwiched between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a. Therefore, the gap between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a is sealed by the second packing 82, so that the gap between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a can be easily watertight between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a. This allows water to be stopped between the outer wall surface 107 and the flange 16, and also between the inner wall surface 100b and the parallel surface 27a. This allows a double water-stop structure to be formed between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 80. This allows water to be stopped between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member 80 easily and more reliably.
[0053] Further, the expanded diameter portion 27 of the first ring 83 has an outer diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the first ring 83. Therefore, an area for bringing the parallel surface 27a of the expanded diameter portion 27 into contact with the second packing 82 can be secured. This allows the second packing 82 to be appropriately compressed by the expanded diameter portion 27. Also, the outer periphery of the second packing 82 can be prevented from being exposed radially outward from the expanded diameter portion 27.
[0054] Furthermore, the protrusion 84 of the first ring 83 is provided on the parallel surface 27a, and the length of the protrusion 84 is set to be equal to or greater than the thickness of the second packing 82 and less than the depth of the hole 102. Therefore, the second packing 82 can be strongly pressed against the protrusion 84. This makes it possible to seal the gap between the second packing 82 and the protrusion 84 and easily stop water leaking between the second packing 82 and the protrusion 84.
[0055] Here, if the inner diameter of the second packing 82 is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the protrusion 84, it becomes difficult to fit the second packing 82 onto the protrusion 84. This makes installation time-consuming, and there is a risk that the inner circumferential surface of the second packing 82 will get caught on the protrusion 84, causing damage to the other packing from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the second packing 82 is set to 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the protrusion 84. This makes it possible to improve the ease of installation when fixing the wall-penetrating member 80 to the building wall 100, etc.
[0056] Furthermore, if the thickness of the second packing 82 is less than 0.1 mm, the thickness of the second packing 82 is too small. For this reason, for example, when the first ring 83 is screwed into the screw groove 17 to compress the second packing 82, it is difficult to press the second packing 82 along the inner wall surface 100b of the building wall 100. Furthermore, if the thickness of the second packing 82 exceeds 10 mm, the second packing 82 becomes too thick. For this reason, for example, it is difficult to screw the first ring 83 into the screw groove 17 to sufficiently compress the second packing 82, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of watertightness. Therefore, the thickness of second packing 82 is set to 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less. As a result, when first ring 83 is screwed into screw groove 17 and second packing 82 is compressed, inner wall surface 100b can be pressed along inner wall surface 100b, and second packing 82 can stop water from entering between inner wall surface 100b and first ring 83.
[0057] Furthermore, according to the wall penetrating member 80 and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member 80 of the second embodiment, it is possible to obtain the same actions and effects as those of the wall penetrating member 1 and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member 1 of the first embodiment.
[0058] Next, a wall penetrating member and a fixing structure of the wall penetrating member according to a modification of the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. [Variations] As shown in Figures 10 and 11, the wall-penetrating member of the modified example of the second embodiment has main body portion 52 of the modified example of the first embodiment instead of main body portion 15 of the second embodiment, and the other configurations are similar to those of the wall-penetrating member 80 of the second embodiment. The main body 15 has a screw groove 53. The screw groove 53 is formed on the entire outer periphery of the main body 52 in the axial direction. Therefore, when the packing 4 is fitted into the main body 52 and in contact with the flange 16, the packing 4 is installed in the screw groove 53. The screw groove 53 comes into contact with the inner periphery 4a of the packing 4.
[0059] According to the wall-penetrating member and the fixing structure of the wall-penetrating member of the modified example of the second embodiment described above, the flange 16 is provided integrally with the main body 52, similar to the wall-penetrating member 80 of the second embodiment. Therefore, by compressing the packing 4 arranged between the building wall 100 (see FIG. 11) and the flange 16, it is possible to seal water between the flange 16 and the building wall 100, and also seal water between the packing 4 and the main body 52. This makes it easy to seal water between the building wall 100 and the wall-penetrating member.
[0060] Furthermore, according to the wall penetrating member and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member of the modified example of the second embodiment, it is possible to obtain the same actions and effects as the wall penetrating member 80 and the fixing structure of the wall penetrating member 80 of the second embodiment.
[0061] The technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
[0062] For example, the building wall 100 may not have a recess 105. The thicknesses of the first packing 4 and the second packing 82 may not be 1 time or more the maximum unevenness height. Furthermore, the outer diameter of the first ring 3 may not be 1.1 times or more and 6 times or less the inner diameter of the first ring 3.
[0063] In addition, the components in this embodiment can be replaced with well-known components as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
[0064] (Additional Note) <1> A wall-penetrating member according to one embodiment of the present invention has a fitting body that is installed in a through hole formed in a wall and has a main body portion having a screw groove formed on its outer circumference, and a flange that is provided on the main body portion and is arranged on one side of the wall, the flange having an outer diameter larger than the through hole; a first ring that is arranged on the other side of the wall, the outer diameter formed larger than the through hole and screws into the screw groove; and a gasket that is installed on the outer circumference between the wall and the flange, the outer diameter formed larger than the through hole, and is sandwiched between the wall and the flange and compressed between the wall and the flange, such that the inner circumference reduces inward in the radial direction.
[0065] According to this invention, the flange is integrally provided on the main body, and the flange is disposed on one side of the wall. Also, a packing is provided between the wall and the flange, and the packing is compressed between the wall and the flange. This allows the gap between the wall and the flange to be sealed with the packing, and the gap between the wall and the flange to be easily watertight. Also, by providing the flange integrally on the main body, it is not necessary to compress the packing between the outer fixing ring and the middle fixing ring to seal the gap between the screw groove and the outer fixing ring with the packing, as in the conventional technology. Furthermore, it is possible to eliminate the need for work such as measuring the length to position the outer fixing ring and the middle fixing ring. Also, by compressing the packing between the wall and the flange, the inner peripheral portion of the packing is reduced in diameter in the radial direction. Therefore, the gap between the packing and the main body can be sealed, and the gap between the packing and the main body can be easily watertight. In this way, by providing the flange integrally with the main body and compressing the packing disposed between the wall and the flange, it is possible to seal water between the flange and the wall as well as between the packing and the main body, which makes it easy to seal water between the building wall and the wall-penetrating member.
[0066] In addition, there is no need to ensure watertightness between the building wall and the wall-penetrating member by filling the opening between the through hole of the building wall and the wall-penetrating member with, for example, a paste-like sealant (caulking material). This makes it possible to easily achieve watertightness between the building wall and the wall-penetrating member without requiring skill in the task of fixing the wall-penetrating member to the through hole of the building wall.
[0067] <2> the above <1> In the wall-penetrating member according to the above, an outer periphery of the main body portion may have a circumferential surface on which the packing is provided.
[0068] According to this invention, the outer periphery of the main body has a circumferential surface, and the packing is provided on the circumferential surface. Therefore, for example, the circumferential surface can be used as a relief processing portion when processing the screw groove. This allows the screw groove to be properly processed on the main body.
[0069] <3> the above <1> In the wall-penetrating member according to the present invention, the packing may be installed in the screw groove.
[0070] According to this invention, by installing the packing in the screw groove, the screw groove can be formed over the entire outer periphery of the main body, which eliminates the need to form a circumferential surface on the main body and makes it easy to form the main body.
[0071] <4> the above <1> from <3> In the wall-penetrating member according to any one of the above, another gasket may be installed between the wall and the first ring, the outer diameter of which is formed to be larger than the through hole, and the inner periphery of which is narrowed radially inward by being sandwiched between the wall and the first ring and compressed between the wall and the first ring.
[0072] According to this invention, another packing is installed between the wall and the first ring, and the other packing is sandwiched between the first ring and the wall. This allows the gap between the wall and the first ring to be sealed with the other packing, making it easy to stop water flow between the wall and the first ring. Furthermore, the gap between the wall and the flange is sealed with the packing, making the gap between the wall and the flange waterproof. This allows water to be stopped between the wall and the flange, and between the wall and the first ring. This allows a double water-stop structure between the wall and the wall-penetrating member. This makes it possible to easily and more reliably stop water from entering between the building wall and the wall-penetrating member.
[0073] <5> the above <1> In the wall penetrating member according to the above, the first ring may have an outer diameter that is equal to or greater than an inner diameter of the first ring.
[0074] According to this invention, the first ring has an outer diameter equal to or larger than its inner diameter, so that an area for bringing the first ring into contact with the wall can be secured.
[0075] <6> the above <1> from <3> In the wall-penetrating member according to any one of the above, the first ring may have an end surface facing in the axial direction of the main body portion, and a protrusion portion provided on the end surface and having a smaller diameter than the through hole.
[0076] According to this invention, the first ring has an end face facing the axial direction of the main body. The end face facing the axial direction of the main body contacts the wall. Also, the first ring is provided with a protrusion having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the through hole. Therefore, the protrusion can be inserted into the through hole in a state where the end face facing the axial direction of the main body is in contact with the wall. As a result, when the protrusion is inserted into the through hole, the end face facing the axial direction of the main body is brought into contact with the wall, and the main body can be easily positioned in the axial direction. Also, by inserting the protrusion into the through hole, the main body can be easily positioned along the through hole by the protrusion. Therefore, for example, the work of compressing the packing with the first ring can be easily carried out.
[0077] <7> the above <4> In the wall-penetrating member relating to the above, the first ring has an end face facing the axial direction of the main body portion, and a protrusion provided on the end face and having a smaller diameter than the through hole, and the protrusion may have a length that is greater than or equal to the thickness of the other gasket and less than the depth of the through hole.
[0078] According to this invention, a protrusion is provided on the end surface of the main body facing the axial direction, and the length of the protrusion is set to be equal to or greater than the thickness of the other packing and less than the depth of the through hole. This allows the other packing to be pressed firmly against the protrusion. This makes it possible to seal the gap between the other packing and the protrusion and easily stop water flow between the other packing and the protrusion.
[0079] <8> the above <4> In the wall-penetrating member according to the present invention, the inner diameter of the other packing may be 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the protruding portion, and the thickness of the other packing may be 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less.
[0080] Here, if the inner diameter of the other packing is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the protrusion, it becomes difficult to fit the other packing into the protrusion, which can make installation time-consuming, or the inner circumferential surface of the other packing may get caught on the protrusion and damage the other packing from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the other packing is set to 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the circumferential surface. This makes it possible to improve the ease of installation when fixing the wall-penetrating member to the wall.
[0081] Also, if the thickness of the other packing is less than 0.1 mm, the thickness of the other packing is too small. Therefore, for example, when screwing the first ring into the screw groove to compress the other packing, it is difficult to press the other packing along the wall. Also, if the thickness of the other packing exceeds 10 mm, the other packing becomes too thick. Therefore, for example, when screwing the first ring into the screw groove to sufficiently compress the other packing, it is not preferable from the viewpoint of water stopping. Therefore, the thickness of the other packing is set to 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less. This allows the other packing to be pressed along the wall when the first ring is screwed into the screw groove and compressed, enabling the other packing to stop water from entering between the wall and the first ring.
[0082] <9> the above <2> In the wall-penetrating member according to the present invention, the inner diameter of the packing may be 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the circumferential surface, and the thickness of the packing may be 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less.
[0083] Here, if the inner diameter of the gasket is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the circumferential surface, it becomes difficult to fit the gasket to the circumferential surface, which can result in time-consuming installation or the inner surface of the gasket getting caught on the circumferential surface and causing the gasket to be damaged from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the packing is set to 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the circumferential surface, which makes it easier to fix the wall-penetrating member to the wall.
[0084] Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing is less than 0.1 mm, the packing is too thin. Therefore, for example, when compressing the packing with a flange, it is difficult to press the packing along the wall. Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing exceeds 10 mm, the packing becomes too thick. Therefore, for example, it is difficult to sufficiently compress the packing with a flange, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of watertightness. Therefore, the thickness of the packing was set to 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less, so that when the packing is compressed by the flange, it can be pressed along the wall, and the packing can seal off water between the wall and the flange.
[0085] <10> the above <3> In the wall-penetrating member according to the present invention, the inner diameter of the packing may be 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the screw groove, and the thickness of the packing may be 0.1 mm or more and 10 mm or less.
[0086] Here, if the inner diameter of the gasket is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove, it will be difficult to fit the gasket into the screw groove, making installation time-consuming, or there is a risk that the inner surface of the gasket will get caught in the screw groove, causing the gasket to be damaged from the inner diameter. Therefore, the inner diameter of the packing is set to 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the screw groove, which makes it easier to fix the wall-penetrating member to the wall.
[0087] Furthermore, if the thickness of the packing is less than 0.1 mm, the packing is too thin.
[0088] <11> the above <2> In the wall-penetrating member according to the above, the circumferential surface is a surface that contacts the packing and does not screw into the first ring, and may be greater than or equal to 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove and less than or equal to the inner diameter of the through hole.
[0089] According to this invention, the packing is made to contact the circumferential surface. Here, if the circumferential surface is less than 0.8 times the outer diameter of the screw groove, the outer diameter of the circumferential surface is too small. Therefore, when the inner circumferential portion of the packing is contracted radially inward, it is difficult to press the inner circumferential portion well over the entire circumferential surface. Also, if the circumferential surface exceeds the inner diameter of the through hole, the outer diameter of the circumferential surface is too large to insert into the through hole.
[0090] Therefore, the circumferential surface is set to be 0.8 times or more the outer diameter of the screw groove and less than the inner diameter of the through hole. This allows the inner circumferential part of the packing to be pressed well against the entire circumferential surface when the inner circumferential part of the packing is contracted radially inward, improving the sealing performance. This allows for good watertightness between the packing and the main body. Furthermore, the circumferential surface can be easily inserted into the through hole.
[0091] <12> the above <3> In the wall-penetrating member according to the present invention, the screw groove may be in contact with the packing.
[0092] According to this invention, the packing is made to contact the screw groove. Therefore, by reducing the diameter of the inner periphery of the packing inward in the radial direction, the inner periphery can be pressed against the screw groove. This makes it possible to seal the gap between the packing and the circumferential surface (i.e., the main body). Therefore, it is possible to stop water leaking between the packing and the main body.
