Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to steam cleaning compositions. [Background technology]

[0002] Hydrofluoroolefins, such as cis-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, are used as industrial cleaning agents with excellent degreasing properties, but there are concerns that they may attack resins with low solvent resistance, such as polycarbonate, causing discoloration, deformation, or dissolution of the resin. Hydrofluoroethers, such as HFE-347pc-f, are excellent in terms of low corrosion (low damage) to resins and thermal stability, and are often used in the industrial cleaning field for finishing cleaning in the cleaning process. Hydrocarbons also have high degreasing properties, and industrial cleaning using them is also widely used.

[0003] As an example of a cleaning agent using these components, Patent Document 1 describes a cleaning agent composition that contains (A) cis-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, (B) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of chlorine-atom-free hydrofluoroolefins, hydrofluorocarbons, and hydrofluoroethers, and (C) a hydrocarbon solvent, in which the mass ratio of (A) to (B) is 11:89 to 99:1.

[0004] In the industrial cleaning field, resin molded products are one of the objects to be cleaned, and many of them have complex structures such as small holes. When cleaning resin molded products with such complex structures, not only degreasing is required, but also low corrosion resistance to the resin and complete drying even to the small holes is required. When complete drying is required, steam cleaning may be used. This is often used as a finishing cleaning to achieve high cleaning performance, but as an additional effect, the heat supplied by heating the object with solvent vapor promotes the evaporation of the cleaning agent attached to the object, thereby further improving drying.

[0005] Patent Document 2 describes a cleaning solvent composition used in a cleaning method including a vapor contact step of contacting an object to be cleaned with vapor of the cleaning solvent composition, the cleaning solvent composition including (A) cis-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene and (B) a hydrofluoroether that exhibits pseudo-azeotropy when mixed with component (A), in which (A) is 8 parts by weight or more and less than 30 parts by weight when the total of components (A) and (B) is 100 parts by weight. [0006] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2022-98039 [Patent Document 2] Patent Publication No. 2022-93150 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0007] However, the cleaning composition described in Patent Document 1 is intended for immersion cleaning or aerosol spray cleaning, and is not used for steam cleaning. According to the findings of the inventors, when the cleaning composition described in Patent Document 1 is used for steam cleaning, the component composition of the cleaning agent contained in the steam is likely to change, and there is a problem that the cleaning agent vapor corrodes resins with low solvent resistance, such as polycarbonate. In addition, it was found that there is room for further improvement in the cleaning solvent composition described in Patent Document 2.

[0008] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a cleaning solvent composition which has excellent cleaning properties and is capable of suppressing damage to substrates even when used in a cleaning process including steam cleaning.

[0009] The present invention has the following configuration. The steam cleaning composition of claim 1, wherein component (A) is cis-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene. [3] The steam cleaning composition according to [1] or [2], wherein component (D) is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of isohexane, isooctane, cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, ethylcyclohexane, decane, and dodecane. [4] The steam cleaning composition according to any one of [1] to [3], wherein the total amount of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) is 85 parts by weight or more and 100 parts by weight or less, based on 100 parts by weight of the entire composition. Effect of the Invention

[0010] The present invention provides a cleaning solvent composition which has excellent cleaning properties and is less likely to damage substrates even when used in a cleaning process including steam cleaning. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0078] In the steam contact step, the liquid temperature in the steam bath is preferably a temperature equal to or higher than the boiling point of the steam cleaning composition, which allows the steam cleaning composition to efficiently generate steam.

[0079] <Additional cleaning methods> The cleaning method may further include a step of immersion cleaning, shower cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, wiping cleaning, barrel cleaning, spray cleaning, splash cleaning, or a combination of these. Here, the conditions for the further step such as shower cleaning or ultrasonic cleaning can be appropriately set. [0080] In the immersion step, the liquid temperature of the steam cleaning composition when it does not contain dirt such as oil can be appropriately set according to the boiling point of the solvent composition. In addition, when the step following the immersion step is a steam contact step, the liquid temperature of the steam cleaning composition in the immersion step is preferably 5° C. or more lower than the liquid temperature in the steam contact step. By setting the temperature at such a level, dirt can be efficiently removed from the object to be cleaned.

[0081] The cleaning time corresponding to the contact time of the steam cleaning composition and the object to be cleaned is not particularly limited as long as it is a time that can remove oily dirt and / or oil from the substrate. For example, the cleaning time may be 1 second or more and 2 hours or less. The same applies to the steam contact step, but the contact step may be 1 second or more and 2 hours or less, and may simply involve passing the generated steam.

[0082] [Cleaning system used in the cleaning method] The cleaning system (cleaning apparatus) used in the cleaning method is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include cleaning apparatuses disclosed in JP 2008-163400 A and JP 2015-217319 A, which have a cleaning tank that stores a cleaning agent and in which the object to be cleaned is immersed, and a steam tank that generates steam of the cleaning agent.

[0083] Further, the cleaning system includes a cleaning system including a boiling tank that contains a steam cleaning composition, in which an object to be cleaned is immersed, and that generates steam of the steam cleaning composition, a recovery section that liquefies and recovers the steam of the steam cleaning composition generated by the boiling tank, and a water separator that separates water from the recovery liquid recovered by the recovery section to extract the steam cleaning composition. The cleaning system is preferably a single-tank cleaning machine. An example of such a system is the cleaning system disclosed in JP 2022-093150 A.

[0084] A non-limiting outline of the cleaning system is shown in Fig. 1. In Fig. 1, the cleaning system includes a boiling tank (11 in Fig. 1) in which a steam cleaning composition (1 in Fig. 1) is accommodated, a recovery section (e.g., 21 and 22 in Fig. 1) that liquefies and recovers a steam component (2 in Fig. 1) generated from the boiling tank, and a water separator (23 in Fig. 1) that separates water from the liquid recovered by the recovery section to extract the steam component and supplies the extracted steam component to the boiling tank. In Fig. 1, solid arrows indicate the flow of the steam component.

[0085] The boiling tank is a tank for boiling and cleaning the object to be cleaned. The boiling tank may be called a vapor tank or steam tank. The boiling tank is equipped with a heater (24 in FIG. 1) for maintaining the temperature at or above the temperature at which the vapor cleaning composition generates steam (preferably at or above the boiling point of the vapor cleaning composition). The boiling tank may have an ultrasonic vibrator that applies ultrasonic vibration to the cleaning liquid.

[0086] In the washing system, a pump and a filter circuit can be installed in the boiling tank. By providing the washing system with a pump and a filter circuit, if the dirt to be removed from the object to be washed is solid, the accumulation of dirt in the boiling tank tends to be avoided.

[0087] A recovery section for liquefying and recovering the steam component generated by the boiling tank is provided at the top of the boiling tank. The recovery section is not particularly limited as long as it is provided with a means for liquefying the steam component and a means for supplying the liquefied component to the water separator.

[0088] The means for liquefying the vapor component is not particularly limited, but a cooling pipe (21 in FIG. 1) is preferable. The cooling pipe is a means for lowering the temperature of the vapor component to liquefy it. By providing the cleaning system with a cooling pipe, the vapor component generated from the vapor cleaning composition is further reduced from being released to the outside from the cleaning system. The number of turns of the cooling pipe is preferably 3 or more, more preferably 4 or more, even more preferably 5 or more, and particularly preferably 6 or more.

[0089] The means for supplying the liquefied components to the water separator is not particularly limited, but a gutter (22 in FIG. 1) is preferred. The gutter is provided to supply the components liquefied by a cooling pipe or the like to the water separator. Here, the liquid liquefied by the means for liquefying the steam generated from the steam cleaning composition and supplied to the water separator (i.e., the liquid containing the composition of the steam generated from the steam cleaning composition and water) is referred to as the recovered liquid.

[0090] The recovered liquid is then extracted by a water separator, which will be described later, and reused as regenerated liquid.

[0091] The water separator is provided to separate water from the recovered liquid, extract the steam cleaning composition, and return the resultant to the boiling tank. The means for separating water using the water separator is not particularly limited as long as it can separate water from the recovered liquid and extract the steam cleaning composition, and examples of the means include gravity separation and membrane separation. The water separator preferably extracts the steam cleaning composition by gravity separation.

[0092] In the case where the recovery section includes a cooling pipe and a gutter, and the means of water separation by the water separator is gravity separation, An example of the structure of the water separator is disclosed in JP 2015-217319 A.

[0093] Although not shown, the cleaning system may have a supply means for shower cleaning with the vapor cleaning composition. The cleaning effect tends to be improved by shower cleaning with the composition after boiling cleaning and / or vapor cleaning the object to be cleaned and colliding the composition with the surface of the object to be cleaned.

[0094] <Cleaning method using a cleaning system> A cleaning method using the cleaning system includes the following steps: (1A) immersing the object to be cleaned in a boiling tank and boiling cleaning it, and (1B) placing the object to be cleaned in an area of steam generated from the boiling tank and steam cleaning it.

[0095] Step (1A) is a step of immersing the object to be cleaned in a boiling tank and cleaning it by boiling. In FIG. 1, the object to be cleaned (S in FIG. 1) is moved from position S1 at the start of cleaning to position S2 and immersed in the steam cleaning composition. In step (1A), the object to be cleaned comes into contact with the liquid of the composition. In the boiling tank, the steam cleaning composition is brought to a boiling state, that is, in boiling cleaning, the steam cleaning composition is heated by a heating means such as a heater.

[0096] In boiling cleaning, in order to enhance the cleaning effect, it is preferable to combine immersion with a means such as stirring, shaking, ultrasonic vibration, or air bubbling, and it is more preferable to combine a means using ultrasonic vibration.

[0097] In step (1B), the object to be cleaned is placed in the steam area generated from the boiling tank and steam cleaned. In FIG. 1, the object to be cleaned is moved from position S2 to position S4, which is the upper part of the boiling tank, and placed in the steam area. The steam area is made of steam generated from the steam cleaning composition. In step (1B), steam cleaning is performed by bringing the object to be cleaned into contact with the steam generated from the boiling tank. This exchanges the dirt components attached to the object to be cleaned with the steam components in the steam area. In addition, since the object to be cleaned comes into contact with the steam components in step (1B), rinsing (steam rinsing) is performed by the steam cleaning step. Thereafter, the object to be cleaned is moved to position S5, where cleaning is completed, and cleaning is completed.

[0098] In addition, the cleaning method according to the present invention may be carried out using the cleaning system shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 of JP 2022-093150 A. EXAMPLES

[0111] Test Example 5: Cleaning Test (2) 0.5 g of mineral oil, fluorine oil or silicone oil was weighed into a disposable glass test tube (straight mouth, capacity 10 mL). 3 g of the solvent composition of each Example and Comparative Example was placed in the test tube, and the tube was covered with a rubber stopper and shaken about 20 times to mix. After leaving it to stand for 10 minutes, the state of the composition was confirmed. ◎: No phase separation, transparent mixture ○: No phase separation, cloudy mixture △: Phase separation occurred and some parts became cloudy ×: No white turbidity, phase separation

[0112] The results are summarized in the following Tables 1 to 7. In the tables, "-" indicates that the test was not performed.

[0120] The following can be seen from Tables 1 to 7. The results of Test Examples 1 and 2 show that the steam cleaning compositions of the Examples reduced damage to substrates even when used for steam cleaning. The results of Test Example 4 show that the steam cleaning compositions of the Examples have excellent cleaning properties for silicone oil. Also, the results of Test Example 4 show that the steam cleaning compositions of the Examples have excellent cleaning properties for high-viscosity oils and oily stains. The results of Test Example 5 show that the steam cleaning compositions of the Examples had excellent cleaning properties even when a large amount of silicone oil was to be dissolved. Comparing Examples 1 to 62 with Examples 63 to 68, it can be said that when the total amount of components (A), (B), (C) and (D) was 100 parts by weight, and the content of component (D) was 20 to 40 parts by weight, the cleaning ability for silicone oil was excellent.

[0121] In Comparative Examples 30 to 41 and 48 to 51, the amount of component (A) was 50 parts by weight or more when the total amount of components (A), (B), and (C) was 100 parts by weight, and therefore the substrate was damaged by steam cleaning. In Comparative Examples 26 to 27 and 40 to 43, the amount of component (B) was more than 85 parts by weight when the total amount of components (B) and (C) was 100 parts by weight, and therefore the cleaning ability with silicone oil was poor. In Comparative Examples 26 to 29, 44 to 47, and 52 to 53, the total amount of the components (A) and (D) was less than 40 parts by weight when the total amount of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) was 100 parts by weight, and therefore the cleaning ability with silicone oil was poor.
