AI Technical Summary
Existing packaging methods for solid fuels and desolators with volatile components suffer from swelling due to vaporization, leading to aesthetic and storage issues, and pinholes in packaging bags exacerbate the problem by promoting vaporization.
The packaging body is designed such that the solid matter occupies 60% or more of the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after sealing, reducing the volume of air and thereby minimizing volatilization and swelling over time.
This approach effectively prevents significant swelling of the packaging after storage, allowing for long-term storage of solid materials with volatile components while maintaining a visually appealing and easily displayable package.

Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a package and a method for producing the package. [Background technology]
[0002] Known examples of solid materials containing volatile components include fuels for heating cooked food, etc., solid fuels used as ignition agents such as charcoal (wood charcoal) for barbecues, and solid astringent removal agents for removing astringency from astringent persimmons, etc. Such solid materials containing volatile components are packaged in an exterior material to prevent the volatile components from evaporating.
[0003] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses that the volatilization of fuel components can be suppressed by covering the surface of solid fuel with polyethylene. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 1-267133 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] As a result of extensive research, the inventors have found that in the method of covering the surface of solid fuel containing volatile components with a protective layer such as polyethylene, the protective layer can become scratched or peel off during storage, and there is room for improvement in storage stability.
[0006] The inventors also investigated a method of sealing and packaging solid materials containing volatile components using packaging bags. However, after sealing and packaging, the volatile components evaporate, causing the package to swell significantly. This increases the package's thickness, which can lead to problems such as poor aesthetics and hindrances when storing and displaying solid materials.
[0007] Furthermore, when pinholes are provided in the packaging bag to prevent the package from expanding, the evaporation of volatile components contained in the solid matter is accelerated, resulting in a problem of deterioration of the storage stability.
[0008] The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a method that can sufficiently prevent swelling of a packaged body containing a solid material containing volatile components after storage, thereby enabling long-term storage of the solid material. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The present inventors have studied various methods for sufficiently preventing swelling of a package containing a solid containing a volatile component after storage and enabling long-term storage of the solid, and have focused on the volume of voids (air) in the packaging bag immediately after packaging. The present inventors have found that the amount of swelling of the package after storage remains constant and is approximately proportional to the volume of air in the packaging bag immediately after packaging. The present inventors' calculation of the theoretical value of the volume increase also results in the result that the amount of swelling of the package after storage depends on (is proportional to) the volume of air in the packaging bag immediately after packaging. The present inventors have found that if the ratio of the volume of the solid to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging is set to 60% or more and the volume of the void (air) in the packaging bag is reduced accordingly, the amount of evaporation from the solid can be suppressed, the swelling of the package over time after sealed packaging can be sufficiently reduced, and long-term storage of the solid containing a volatile component can be enabled. They have come up with an idea to brilliantly solve the above problem and have arrived at the present invention.
[0010] That is, the present invention (1) is a package comprising a solid material containing a volatile component and a packaging bag for hermetically packaging the solid material, characterized in that the ratio of the volume of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging is 60% or more. This sufficiently prevents the package from swelling significantly over time after hermetically packaging, and allows the solid material containing a volatile component to be suitably stored for a long period of time.
[0011] In this specification, the term "solid" refers to a state of a solid, and is a concept that includes a gel state.
[0012] The present invention (2) is the package of the present invention (1), in which the volume ratio of the solid matter to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging is 95% or less. This makes it possible to sufficiently reduce wrinkles on the surface of the packaging bag, thereby improving the appearance and making the product or other information displayed on the surface of the packaging bag easier to read.
[0013] The present invention (3) is the package according to the present invention (1) or (2), wherein the volatile component is a lower alcohol having 1 to 5 carbon atoms.
[0014] The present invention (4) is the package according to any one of the present inventions (1) to (3), wherein the solid matter has a volatile component content of 20 to 99 mass %.
[0015] The present invention (5) is the package according to any one of the present inventions (1) to (4), wherein the solid matter is a solid fuel or a solid astringent removing agent.
[0016] The present invention (6) is a package comprising a solid material containing a volatile component and a packaging bag in which the solid material is hermetically packaged, characterized in that the volume ratio of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag is 55% or more. This package also effectively prevents swelling of a package containing a solid material containing a volatile component after storage, and can exert the effects of the present invention.
[0017] The present invention (7) is also a method for producing a package, characterized in that it includes a step of hermetically packaging a solid material containing a volatile component such that the volume ratio of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag is 60% or more. This makes it possible to suitably manufacture a package that contains a solid matter that includes a volatile component and that is effectively prevented from swelling after storage. Effect of the Invention
[0018] The package of the present invention sufficiently prevents swelling of a package containing a solid material containing a volatile component after storage, and enables the solid material to be stored for a long period of time. [Brief description of the drawings]
[0019] [Figure 1] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an example of the packaging body of the present invention. [Diagram 2] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing an example of a product in which two packages of the present invention are stacked and housed in a bag with a header having a hole for hanging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0020] (packaging) The packaging body of the present invention is a packaging body comprising a solid material containing a volatile component and a packaging bag in which the solid material is hermetically packaged, and the volume ratio of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging is 60% or more. In this specification, "immediately after packaging" refers to within one hour after packaging. Here, the ratio of the volume of solid matter to the internal volume of the packaging bag usually decreases immediately after packaging and then becomes constant, and does not basically increase, but if the ratio of the volume of solid matter to the internal volume of the packaging bag one hour after packaging is 60% or more, it is presumed that the ratio of the volume of solid matter to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging was also 60% or more. Unless it is specifically stated that the product is immediately after packaging, the term generally refers to the composition and characteristics of the package at the present time.
[0021] The volume ratio of the solid matter to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging is preferably 65% or more, more preferably 70% or more, even more preferably 80% or more, and particularly preferably 85% or more. The upper limit of the volume ratio is not particularly limited and may be 100%, but is usually 98% or less, and preferably 95% or less.
[0022] The volume ratio of the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging can be made 60% or more by reducing the amount of gas (usually air) in the packaging bag, for example by degassing the packaging bag (removing the air from inside the packaging bag) just before sealing (sealing) the packaging bag, as described later in the manufacturing method of the present invention. The package of the present invention may further contain a solid material that does not contain volatile components, such as an oxygen scavenger, and the volume ratio of the solid material is the total volume ratio of the solid material that contains volatile components and the solid material that does not contain volatile components, unless otherwise specified. Here, as long as the volume ratio of the solid material is 60% or more, the volume ratio of the solid material that does not contain volatile components may be 0%.
[0023] The solid matter containing the volatile component may be a solid food, a solid fuel, or a solid astringent removing agent, but for example, a solid fuel or a solid astringent removing agent is preferable. The solid fuel is, for example, a solid ignition agent used as an ignition agent for charcoal (wood charcoal) in a barbecue, and is one of the preferred forms in the present invention.
[0024] The volatile component is a component having a boiling point of 150° C. or less at 1 atmospheric pressure, and examples of such components include organic solvents and water having a boiling point of 150° C. or less at 1 atmospheric pressure, and one or more of these can be used. The volatile component is preferably water or an alcohol having a boiling point of 150° C. or less, and more preferably a monohydric alcohol having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. Examples of the lower alcohol having 1 to 3 carbon atoms include methanol, ethanol, propanol, and isopropyl alcohol, which can be used alone or in combination. Among these, methanol and ethanol are preferred, and methanol is more preferred.
[0025] In the package of the present invention, the mass ratio of the volatile component (preferably alcohol) in 100% by mass of the solid matter containing the volatile component is preferably 20 to 99% by mass. The mass ratio is more preferably 30% by mass or more, even more preferably 50% by mass or more, and particularly preferably 80% by mass or more. It can be said that the effect of the present invention is remarkable in that the effect of the present invention can be exerted even in the case of a solid matter having a high content of volatile components and which is likely to cause swelling of the package after storage. Furthermore, the mass ratio is more preferably 95% by mass or less. When a solid contains two or more kinds of volatile components, the mass ratio of the volatile components means the total mass ratio thereof.
[0026] In the package of the present invention, the solid matter may contain components (other components) other than the volatile components. The other components may include, for example, other additives such as polyhydric alcohols such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and glycerin; fatty acids (salts) having 8 to 22 carbon atoms; thickeners such as polysaccharides, polyacrylamides, polyalkylene oxides, polyacrylic acids and their salts, and polyvinyl alcohol; surfactants; fragrances; coloring powders; stabilizers; acid agents; and alkali agents.
[0027] In the solid matter (100% by mass), the mass ratio of the other components is preferably 1 to 80% by mass. The mass ratio is more preferably 70% by mass or less, even more preferably 50% by mass or less, and particularly preferably 20% by mass or less. Furthermore, the mass ratio is more preferably 5% by mass or more. When the solid contains two or more kinds of other components, the mass ratio of the other components means the total mass ratio thereof.
[0028] The solid material containing the volatile components can be produced, for example, by mixing and neutralizing the components while heating them in a mixing tank, and then cooling and solidifying them. For example, when the solid containing the volatile component is an alcohol-containing solid, the composition for solids is blended with a fatty acid and an alkali to turn the alcohol, which is usually liquid, into a solid, and the fatty acid is neutralized with the alkali to become a fatty acid salt, thereby obtaining sufficient solidification properties and making the composition for solids into a solid. The shape of the solid can be appropriately shaped, and for example, a block-like or high cylindrical solid may be cut or otherwise shaped into a predetermined shape (such as a low cylindrical shape).
[0029] The surface of the solid containing the volatile component may be covered with paraffin or a polypropylene film such as an OPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film. When the surface of the solid is covered with paraffin or the like, the evaporation of the volatile component of the solid can be prevented, and better weight retention tends to be obtained. In addition, when the solid is a solid fuel, it tends to be a solid fuel that has the ignition property required for a fuel, but prevents the solid fuel from unintentionally igniting, and is safer.
[0030] The shape of the solid matter containing the volatile component is not particularly limited, but examples thereof include a cylindrical shape, a prismatic shape, a lump shape, a powder shape, etc. Among these, a cylindrical shape and a prismatic shape are preferred.
[0031] The height of the solid matter containing the volatile component is preferably 5 mm or more, more preferably 10 mm or more, even more preferably 12 mm or more, and particularly preferably 15 mm or more, and is preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 40 mm or less, even more preferably 30 mm or less, and particularly preferably 25 mm or less.
[0032] When the solid material containing the volatile component is columnar (cylindrical, rectangular, etc.), the diameter of the bottom or the maximum length of the diagonal is preferably 10 mm or more, more preferably 20 mm or more, even more preferably 30 mm or more, and particularly preferably 35 mm or more. The diameter or maximum length of the diagonal is preferably 70 mm or less, more preferably 60 mm or less, even more preferably 50 mm or less, and particularly preferably 45 mm or less.
[0033] The volume of each of the solids containing the volatile components is, for example, preferably 3 to 300 mL, more preferably 5 to 100 mL, further preferably 7 to 60 mL, and particularly preferably 10 to 40 mL.
[0034] The weight per unit of the solid material containing the volatile component is not particularly limited and may be appropriately set according to the purpose of use, etc. For example, it is preferably 3 to 300 g, more preferably 4 to 100 g, and even more preferably 5 to 50 g.
[0035] The packaging bag may contain a plurality of the above-mentioned volatile component-containing solids, for example, 2 to 30 pieces. When multiple solid objects containing the above-mentioned volatile components are contained in a packaging bag, the solid objects may be arranged in an overlapping manner, or arranged vertically and / or horizontally, but from the viewpoint of reducing the thickness of the packaging body, it is preferable that the solid objects are arranged so as not to overlap each other.
[0036] The total weight of the solid matter including the volatile components in the packaging bag is, for example, preferably 5 to 1000 g, and more preferably 10 to 500 g. In this specification, when the surface of a solid material containing a volatile component is covered with paraffin or the like, the weight (mass) of the paraffin or the like is not included in the weight (mass) of the solid material containing a volatile component.
[0037] The package of the present invention may further contain a solid material that does not contain volatile components. Examples of solid materials that do not contain volatile components include oxygen scavengers such as iron powder and vitamin C. As described above, unless otherwise specified in this specification, the volume ratio of the solid material is the total volume ratio of the solid material that contains volatile components and the solid material that does not contain volatile components. The volume ratio of the solid matter not containing volatile components is preferably 10% or less of the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging.
[0038] The present invention also relates to a package comprising a solid material containing a volatile component and a packaging bag in which the solid material is hermetically packaged, wherein the volume ratio of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag is 55% or more.
[0039] The volume ratio of the solid matter is preferably 60% or more, more preferably 65% or more, even more preferably 75% or more, and particularly preferably 80% or more. The upper limit of the volume ratio is not particularly limited and may be 100%, but is usually 95% or less, and preferably 90% or less.
[0040] In the package of the present invention, the packaging bag is not particularly limited as long as it seals and packages a solid material containing a volatile component. For example, a three-sided aluminum sealed bag, a palm-shaped bag, a side sealed bag, or a gusseted bag can be used in which a solid material containing a volatile component is placed, the amount of gas is reduced as necessary, and then the bag is sealed. In addition, since the packaging bag is used to hermetically package a solid material containing a volatile component, it does not have holes such as pinholes that would allow gas to enter or exit. In addition, the packaging bag is preferably made of a material that is substantially non-air permeable.
[0041] The packaging bag can be made of a single-layer or multi-layer film, and is preferably made of a multi-layer film, for example. The film is preferably made to include a layer having gas barrier properties, and is preferably made to include, for example, a metal layer and / or an inorganic oxide layer. The metal layer is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include an aluminum layer, a steel layer, a titanium layer, a palladium layer, and a platinum layer. For example, an aluminum layer is preferable. As the inorganic oxide layer, for example, an aluminum oxide layer or a silica layer is preferable. The metal layer and / or the inorganic oxide layer may be a vapor-deposited layer obtained by vapor deposition. The average thickness of the metal layer and / or the inorganic oxide layer is, for example, preferably from 1 to 50 μm, more preferably from 2 to 30 μm, and further preferably from 3 to 20 μm. The above average thickness is an average value of measurements taken at any five points using a micrometer.
[0042] The film may further include one or more resin layers in order to exhibit at least one of strength, heat sealability, and gas barrier property. The resin layer is preferably, for example, a resin layer of a polyester resin, a polyolefin resin, a polyamide resin, a polyacrylonitrile resin, a polyimide resin, a polymethyl methacrylate resin, a polyethersulfone resin, etc. From the viewpoint of imparting heat sealability, for example, a resin layer of a low-density polyethylene (LDPE), a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), an ethylene-propylene copolymer, a non-oriented polypropylene (CPP), a biaxially oriented polypropylene (OPP), etc., can be suitably used for the inner surface of the packaging bag as the polyolefin resin. The average thickness of the resin layer is, for example, preferably from 10 to 200 μm, more preferably from 20 to 100 μm, and further preferably from 30 to 80 μm. The above average thickness is an average value of measurements taken at any five points using a micrometer.
[0043] The film constituting the packaging bag has an average thickness of, for example, preferably from 1 to 300 μm, more preferably from 2 to 250 μm, and further preferably from 3 to 200 μm. The above average thickness is an average value of measurements taken at any five points using a micrometer.
[0044] The size of the packaging bag can be adjusted appropriately depending on the size and number of solid objects to be packaged.
[0045] Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an example of a package of the present invention. Fig. 1 shows a package 10 in which solid objects 3 containing volatile components are placed in a packaging bag 1 so as to be arranged in two vertical rows (3 pieces vertically × 2 pieces horizontally). 2 is a schematic diagram showing an example of a product 100 in which the packages 10a and 10b of the present invention are stacked and housed in a bag 20 with a header having a hole for hanging. Note that the bag 20 with a header is transparent except for the header. The package of the present invention can be sufficiently prevented from swelling after storage, and is therefore suitable since it causes little trouble when storing or displaying a plurality of packages stacked for long periods of time.
[0046] (Manufacturing method of packaging body) The present invention also relates to a method for producing a package, characterized by including a step of hermetically packaging a solid material containing a volatile component so that the volume ratio of the solid material to the internal volume of the packaging bag is 60% or more.
[0047] The above-mentioned sealing and packaging step can use, for example, a method of sealing and packaging the packaging bag while degassing the inside of the packaging bag using a degassing sealer or a vacuum packaging machine, a method of degassing the packaging bag by pushing out the gas inside the packaging bag by, for example, sandwiching the body of the packaging bag between a pair of degassing plates, or a method of putting an oxygen scavenger in the packaging bag and then sealing and packaging the packaging bag using a sealer or packaging machine, etc. The above-mentioned volume ratio can be appropriately adjusted by adjusting the temperature, time, pressure, etc. in the above-mentioned sealing and packaging step.
[0048] The temperature in the sealing and packaging step is preferably 10° C. or higher. The temperature is preferably 80° C. or lower, and more preferably 60° C. or lower. When degassing in the sealing and packaging step, the degassing time depends on other conditions, but is preferably, for example, 1 second or more, and more preferably 5 seconds or more. The degassing time is preferably 5 minutes or less, more preferably 2 minutes or less, and even more preferably 1 minute or less. The pressure in the sealing and packaging step may be, for example, normal pressure, but is preferably 200 torr or less, and more preferably 100 torr or less. EXAMPLES
[0049] The present invention will be specifically described based on examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
[0050] In the examples and comparative examples, the temperature at which the volume of the packaged body was measured immediately after packaging (room temperature and the temperature of the water used for measurement) was 27°C, and the temperature at which the volume of the packaged body was measured after one month of storage (room temperature and the temperature of the water used for measurement) was 35°C. In the table below, "volume of package (excluding volume of package bag)" is the volume of package measured by the method for measuring the volume of package described later, excluding the volume of package bag, and can be said to be the internal volume of the package bag. The volume of the package bag can be calculated from the length and width, thickness, and number of films that make up the package bag.
[0051] -Method of measuring the volume of a package The weight of a plastic container filled with a certain amount of water and the weight of the package submerged in the water were measured using an electronic balance (GX-3000 / A&D Co., Ltd.), and the difference X (g) was recorded as the volume X (mL) of the package.
[0052] -Method for determining the volume of solids containing volatile components In the case of a cylinder, the diameter and height were measured, and in the case of a prism, the length of each side was measured using a digital caliper (CD-20C / Mitutoyo Corporation), and the values were calculated.
[0053] -Method for determining the weight of solids including volatile components The weight of the solid matter before it was enclosed in the package and the weight of the solid matter removed from the package after the storage test were measured using an electronic balance (GX-3000 / A&D Co., Ltd.).

[0089] [Table 8]
[0090] From the results of Tables 1-1, 2-1, and 3 to 8, it was found that in the packages of Examples 1 to 14, the amount of gas (air) in the packaging bag was reduced before packaging, and the volume ratio of solid matter including volatile components to the inside of the packaging bag (internal volume) immediately after packaging was 60 to 95%, and the rate of change in the internal volume after one month of storage was small at 1 to 15%, which adequately prevented the packages from swelling after storage. In addition, from the results of Tables 1-2 and 2-2, there was almost no difference in the volume of the package after one month storage and the volume of the package after two months storage in the packages of Examples 2 and 6. It is considered that the volume of the package of the present invention becomes constant after a certain storage time has passed. On the other hand, in the packages of Comparative Examples 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 14, the amount of gas in the packaging bag was not reduced before packaging, and the volume ratio of solid matter including volatile components to the internal volume of the packaging bag immediately after packaging was 49 to 53%. However, the rate of change in the internal volume after one month of storage was large, at 18 to 26%, and it was found that swelling of the packages after storage could not be sufficiently prevented. In this way, since the volume of gas inside the packaging bag immediately after packaging is small, the amount of expansion of the packaged body after storage is also small and remains small and constant, which is an unexpected effect.
[0091] In addition, in the packages of Examples 1 to 14, the weight loss rate of the solid matter including the volatile components was 0.01 to 4.00%, and the packages were excellent in storage stability. On the other hand, in the packages of Comparative Examples 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, and 15, which were packaged using packaging bags with pinholes, the weight loss rate of solid matter including volatile components was 5.53 to 12.48%, and the storage stability was inferior to that of the Examples.
[0092] From the above, it was found that the packages of the respective Examples were able to adequately prevent swelling of the packages after storage and were able to preserve solid matter for long periods of time. [Explanation of symbols]
