[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for producing polyurethane foam, which is used in the production of foams (polyurethane foams) having small compression set, and a urethane polyol composition suitable as a raw material for the production thereof. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] Means for Solving the Problems The present inventors, from the viewpoint of reducing the burden on the global environment, produced a polyurethane foam by using a polyol composition containing a urethane polyol prepared from a polyol derived from castor oil (castor oil polyol) and a specific alkylene diisocyanate in combination with a polyisocyanate, and found that the above-mentioned problems could be solved.

[0008] The present invention is as follows. 1. [0009] The polyurethane foam producing composition of the present invention can be used to efficiently produce foams with small compression set. Therefore, the polyurethane polyol composition of the present invention is suitable as a raw material for producing a polyurethane foam producing composition that gives such foams. In addition, the polyurethane polyol composition and the polyurethane foam producing composition of the present invention have a low environmental impact due to their high plant-based content. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] The urethane polyol composition of the present invention is a composition containing a urethane polyol obtained by reacting (urethanization reaction) a castor oil polyol with an alkylene diisocyanate having a total carbon atom number of 7 or less. The castor oil polyol according to the present invention is generally a polyol having a castor oil fatty acid skeleton.

[0011] The above alkylene diisocyanate is OCN-R 1 -NCO(R 1is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms), and examples thereof include trimethylene diisocyanate, tetramethylene diisocyanate, and pentamethylene diisocyanate. The alkylene diisocyanate to be reacted with the castor oil polyol may be one type or two or more types. The alkylene diisocyanate according to the present invention preferably contains pentamethylene diisocyanate.

[0012] The urethane polyol obtained by the urethanization reaction is a compound having a plurality of hydroxyl groups and a urethane bond, and is particularly preferably a urethane polyol having a structure in which the isocyanate groups at both ends of the alkylene diisocyanate react with the hydroxyl groups of the castor oil polyol to form a urethane bond, while the other hydroxyl groups in the castor oil polyol remain unreacted and do not contain an isocyanate group derived from the alkylene diisocyanate. The preferred amounts of the castor oil polyol and the alkylene diisocyanate used in the synthesis of such a urethane polyol are as follows. The amount of the castor oil polyol used is preferably 1000 to 4000 parts by mass, more preferably 1100 to 3500 parts by mass, and even more preferably 1200 to 3100 parts by mass, when the amount of the alkylene diisocyanate used is 100 parts by mass.

[0013] In the present invention, the urethane polyol composition obtained by reacting the castor oil polyol and the alkylene diisocyanate, for example, in the above-mentioned preferred ratio, is usually liquid and has a viscosity (measured at 25°C using a B-type viscometer in accordance with JIS Z 8803) of preferably 500 to 9000 mPa s, more preferably 600 to 5000 mPa s, and even more preferably 800 to 2200 mPa s. [0055] Example 2-1 440 parts of urethane polyol composition (A1), 15.40 parts of blowing agent, 1.98 parts of catalyst (C1), and 6.60 parts of foam stabilizer (F1) and (F2) were mixed, and then 1.32 parts of catalyst (C2) was added and further mixed. Next, 215.42 parts of polyisocyanate were added to this mixture and mixed to obtain a polyurethane foam production composition. Then, under the condition of 25 ° C, this polyurethane foam production composition was poured into a foaming container (inner dimensions: 250 mm × 250 mm × 250 mm), a foam was formed, and the composition was cured in the air (25 ° C, 16 hours), and the following evaluation was performed. The results are shown in Table 2.

[0056] (1) Core density The measurement was performed according to a method in accordance with JIS K 7222. (2) Compression set Measurement was performed using the compression residual strain test method A in accordance with JIS K 6400-4.

[0057] Example 2-2 A composition for producing a polyurethane foam was obtained by carrying out the same operations as in Example 2-1, except that the urethane polyol composition (A2) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition (A1) and the formulation was according to Table 2. Thereafter, various evaluations were carried out (see Table 2).

[0058] Example 2-3 A composition for producing a polyurethane foam was obtained by carrying out the same operations as in Example 2-1, except that the urethane polyol composition (A3) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition (A1) and the formulation was according to Table 2. Thereafter, various evaluations were carried out (see Table 2).

[0059] Examples 2-4 A composition for producing a polyurethane foam was obtained by carrying out the same operations as in Example 2-1, except that the urethane polyol composition (A4) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition (A1) and the formulation was according to Table 2. Thereafter, various evaluations were carried out (see Table 2).

[0060] Comparative Example 2-1 A composition for producing a polyurethane foam was obtained by carrying out the same operations as in Example 2-1, except that the urethane polyol composition (AA1) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition (A1) and the formulation was according to Table 2. Thereafter, various evaluations were carried out (see Table 2).

[0061] Comparative Example 2-2 A composition for producing a polyurethane foam was obtained by carrying out the same operations as in Example 2-1, except that the castor oil-based polyol (AC1) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition (A1) and the composition was formulated as shown in Table 2. Thereafter, various evaluations were carried out (see Table 2).

[0062] [Table 2]

[0063] The following can be seen from Table 2: Comparative Example 2-1 is an example in which a polyurethane foam producing composition containing a urethane polyol composition (AA1) containing a urethane polyol obtained by reacting a castor oil polyol with hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) having a total carbon atom number of 8 was used, and the compression set was high, exceeding 4.40. Comparative Example 2-2 is an example in which a polyurethane foam producing composition containing a castor oil-based polyol (AC1) was used instead of the urethane polyol composition, and the compression set was high, exceeding 4.40. On the other hand, Examples 2-1 to 2-4 are examples in which a composition for producing polyurethane foam containing a urethane polyol composition of the present invention was used, and foams with low compression set were successfully produced. [Industrial Applicability]

[0064] The urethane polyol composition of the present invention is suitable as a raw material for compositions for producing polyurethane foams, which are used in the production of vehicle parts, building and civil engineering parts, housing equipment, daily necessities, sporting goods, leisure goods, agricultural and forestry materials, fishing materials, and the like.
