Addressing the problems of insufficient scrub resistance and low efficiency in introducing functional monomers in existing vinyl acetate emulsions, the following solution is provided: A pre-emulsion A is obtained by emulsifying deionized water, a composite emulsifier, and a pH buffer with a core-layer mixed monomer mixture. The core-layer mixed monomer mixture includes vinyl acetate, vinyl tert-carbonate, C1-C4 alkyl esters of (meth)acrylate, a carboxylic acid functional monomer containing double bonds, diacetone acrylamide, and organosilicon-modified monomers. After seed emulsion preparation and core-layer polymerization, a shell-layer monomer mixture B (containing phosphate-based adhesion-promoting monomers, hydroxyalkyl esters, and vinyl acetate) is introduced for shell-layer polymerization. Post-treatment yields the emulsion. The emulsion possesses a hard core-functionalized soft shell structure, and the resulting interior wall coating can withstand over 8000 scrub cycles, far exceeding the national standard for superior products. Furthermore, the emulsion exhibits excellent storage stability.
