Description

[Technical field]

[0001] This case relates to an instrument panel pocket to which a panel-shaped or sheet-shaped radiant heater can be attached or detached. [Background technology]

[0002] In recent years, technology has been developed to equip vehicles with radiant heater devices that can quickly achieve a heating effect. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a technology in which a radiant heater device is disposed on an instrument panel or the like in the vehicle interior so as to radiate radiant heat R to the feet of passengers seated in the seats. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2016-34791 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] For example, vehicles for cold climates may be equipped with heaters to supplement knee heating. However, such radiant heaters are unnecessary in warm climates. Of course, this can be achieved by changing the specifications of vehicles for cold climates and non-cold climates, but if it were possible to easily switch between radiant heater settings and non-settings without changing the basic specifications, vehicle costs could be reduced.

[0005] This invention was devised to solve such problems, focusing on the instrument panel pockets installed in vehicles, and aims to provide an instrument panel pocket that allows a panel-shaped or sheet-shaped radiant heater to be attached and detached to the instrument panel pocket, making it easy to switch between specifications with and without a radiant heater. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present invention has been made to solve at least part of the above problems, and can be realized in the following aspects or application examples. The instrument panel pocket of this application example is an instrument panel pocket provided on a vehicle's instrument panel, and has a long, narrow opening formed at the top and a storage section extending downward from the opening, and is provided with a pair of guide grooves formed on the left and right sides inside the storage section or on the outside of the inside of the passenger compartment so as to extend in the depth direction of the storage section, into which the left and right edges of a panel-shaped or sheet-shaped radiant heater can be inserted, and a fixing seat portion near the opening, which fixes the radiant heater inserted into the guide groove with a fixing device.

[0007] According to this application example, the radiant heater can be attached to the inside or outside of the instrument panel pocket by inserting both left and right edges of the radiant heater into the guide groove and fixing the radiant heater to the fixing seat part with the fixing device, and the instrument panel pocket can be made to have a specification in which the radiant heater is equipped. Also, the fixing of the fixing device can be released and the radiant heater can be removed from the guide groove, making it possible to make the instrument panel pocket have a specification in which the radiant heater is not equipped. Effect of the Invention

[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to easily switch between a specification with a radiant heater and a specification without the radiant heater. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] The embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The following embodiments are merely examples, and are not intended to exclude the application of various modifications and techniques not specified in the embodiments. The configurations of the following embodiments can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit of the embodiments. In addition, they can be selected or combined as necessary.

[0011] The vehicle 1 according to each embodiment described below is a commercial vehicle such as a truck. However, the instrument panel pocket of the present invention can be applied not only to commercial vehicles but also to passenger cars. In addition, in Figures 1 to 10, the vehicle is assumed to be on a horizontal plane, and the front of the vehicle is indicated by arrows as "FR," the rear of the vehicle is indicated by "RR," the right side in the vehicle width direction is indicated by "RH," the left side in the vehicle width direction is indicated by "LH," the vertically upward direction is indicated by "UP," and the vertically downward direction is indicated by arrows as "DW."

[0012] [1. First embodiment] [1.1. Configuration] First, a first embodiment will be described. In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 2, a steering wheel 5 and a shift lever 6 are provided in front of a driver's seat 3 in a vehicle interior 2, and an instrument panel (hereinafter, abbreviated as "instrument panel") 7 is provided in front of the driver's seat 3 and the passenger seat 4. A door 9 is provided on each side of the driver's seat 3 and the passenger seat 4. A windshield 8 is provided in the upper front portion of the instrument panel 7, and an instrument panel pocket (instrument panel pocket) 10 is provided in the lower portion of the instrument panel 7 in front of the passenger seat 4.

[0013] The instrument panel pocket 10 is made of resin and is continuous with the instrument panel 7, has a long and narrow opening 11 formed in a top panel portion 7a of the instrument panel 7 that is inclined upward slightly toward the passenger compartment, and has a storage portion (storage space) 12 formed facing slightly downward and vertically inclined toward the front of the vehicle. The opening 11 and the storage portion 12 are formed long in the vehicle width direction and short in the vehicle length direction, and the storage portion 12 has a certain depth or more. Therefore, thin items such as binders, documents, and tablet terminals can be stored in the instrument panel pocket 10 in the depth direction.

[0014] Because the opening 11 and the storage section 12 are narrow in the vehicle length direction, and the storage section 12 is deep, if a long and thin object such as a writing implement is placed inside, it will fall onto the bottom wall section 121 (see FIG. 4) at the bottom of the storage section 12A, making it difficult to remove. Therefore, a small item removal opening 14 for removing the writing implement and the like from the bottom of the storage section 12 is formed in the lower part of the front panel 123 that forms the storage section 12. The small item removal opening 14 is formed long and thin in the vehicle width direction along the bottom wall section 121 of the storage section 12 that extends in the vehicle width direction.

[0015] As shown in Figures 1(a) and (b), the instrument panel pocket 10A of this embodiment has a pair of guide grooves 21A, 21A formed on the left and right sides inside the storage section 12A, into which both left and right edge portions (both edges in the vehicle width direction) 301, 301 of a panel-shaped radiant heater (hereinafter referred to as a "radiant heater panel" or simply as a "heater panel") 30A (see Figure 3) can be inserted from above.

[0016] These guide grooves 21A, 21A are formed on both left and right edges (both edges in the vehicle width direction) in the storage section 12A. The storage section 12A extends in the vehicle width direction and in the diagonally vertical up-down direction, and is surrounded by an inner panel 122 and a surface panel 123 that face each other, edge walls 124, 125 between the inner panel 122 and the surface panel 123, and a bottom wall 121. The surface panel 123 has a large number of slits 13 for supplying radiant heat.

[0017] Each guide groove 21A is formed in a corner of the inner wall of the storage section 12A near the front FR of the vehicle, between a long and narrow wall section 22 extending in the depth direction of the storage section 12A (vertically diagonally downward slightly inclined toward the front of the vehicle) and a rectangular protruding piece 23 extending in the depth direction of the storage section 12A and protruding in the vehicle width direction. The wall section 22 and the protruding piece 23 have opposing surfaces facing each other. An elastic deformation section 23a is formed on the tip side of the protruding piece 23, which becomes gradually thinner toward the tip and is easily elastically deformed, and which is inclined toward the front FR of the vehicle so as to gradually approach the wall section 22 toward the tip.

[0018] With the above-mentioned configuration, a thin stored object can be elastically sandwiched between the opposing surfaces of the wall 22 and the protruding piece 23 by utilizing the elastic deformation of the elastic deformation portion 23a. The instrument panel pocket 10A is configured so that a heater panel 30A (see FIG. 3) can be used as the thin stored object. That is, the wall 22 and the protruding piece 23 of the guide groove 21A are spaced apart from each other so that the heater panel 30A can be sandwiched between the opposing surfaces.

[0019] As shown in Fig. 3, the heater panel 30A is equipped with a plate- or sheet-shaped heater body 31 on one surface. When power is supplied to the heater body 31, it generates heat and emits infrared rays or the like to supply radiant heat. For this reason, a power supply harness 32 equipped with a connector 33 at its tip is connected to the heater panel 30A. In addition, screw holes 34 for fixing are formed on the upper left and right sides of the heater panel 30A.

[0020] In order to fix the heater panel 30A stored in the storage section 12A, a fixing seat 24A is provided near the opening 11A. The fixing seat 24A is provided at the upper end of the opposing surface of the wall section 22, and is provided with a fixing hole 25 for engaging a screw 27 as a fixing tool. In addition, the upper end of the protruding piece 23 is set vertically below the upper end of the wall portion 22 DW, and a space is provided on the front side (rear side RR of the vehicle) of the fixed seat portion 24A so that the locking operation using the screw 27 can be performed without hindrance.

[0021] Fig. 4 is a vertical cross-sectional view of the instrument panel pocket 10A, and as shown in Fig. 4, the heater panel 30A stored in the storage section 12A has its upper end fixed to the fixing seat section 24A with a screw 27. At this time, the heater panel 30A below the fixing point is elastically sandwiched between the wall section 22 of the guide groove 21A and the protruding piece 23, so that the heater panel 30A does not swing due to vehicle vibration.

[0022] Further, below the bottom wall portion 121, there is provided a harness connection space 15 surrounded by the bottom wall portion 121 and other walls. An end of a power harness 40 connected to a vehicle-side power source (not shown) is introduced into this harness connection space 15, and a connector 41 connected to the end of the power harness 40 is supported by an inner panel 122 on the front FR side of the vehicle so as to face the harness connection space 15.

[0023] 1(a) and 4, the front panel 123 is provided with an access opening 16 in addition to the small item removal opening 14. This allows the connector 33 at the end of the power supply harness 32 to be guided into the harness connection space 15, and the connector 33 can be connected to the connector 41 of the power supply harness 40 through the access opening 16.

[0024] [1.2. Actions and Effects] Since the instrument panel pocket 10A according to this embodiment is configured as described above, the following actions and effects can be obtained.

[0025] 1 and 2, the heater panel 30A can be attached inside the instrument panel pocket 10A by inserting the left and right edges 301, 301 of the heater panel 30A into the left and right guide grooves 21A, 21A and fixing the heater panel 30A to the fixed seat portion 24A with the screws 27, thereby making it possible to achieve a specification in which the heater panel 30A is equipped (heater specification). In the heater specification, when electricity is applied to the heater main body 31, the heater main body 31 generates heat when power is supplied and radiates infrared rays, etc., and supplies radiant heat to the feet of the occupant sitting in the passenger seat 4 through the radiant heat supply slit 13.

[0026] On the other hand, by releasing the fixing with the screw 27 and removing the heater panel 30A from the guide grooves 21A, 21A, it is possible to obtain an instrument panel pocket specification without the heater panel 30A, as shown in Fig. 1(a). This allows suitable thin stored objects to be stored in the storage section 12A. At this time, the thin stored objects can be elastically held in the guide grooves 21A, so that they do not swing even if the vehicle 1 vibrates.

[0027] In this way, the instrument panel pocket 10A can be easily switched between a specification with and without the heater panel 30B. For the same base vehicle, it can be easily switched between a heater specification for vehicles designed for cold climates and an instrument panel pocket specification for vehicles designed for warm climates. In addition, it is easy to switch between a specification with a heater and a specification with an instrument panel pocket depending on the season.

[0028] [2. Second embodiment] [2.1. Configuration] Next, a second embodiment will be described. In this embodiment, the basic configuration of the vehicle 1 is similar to that shown in Fig. 2, so a description thereof will be omitted. 5 and 6, the instrument panel pocket 10B of this embodiment is opened by cutting out a portion of the storage section 12B of the front panel 123 that partitions the interior side of the vehicle. The guide grooves 21B, 21B of the instrument panel pocket 10B are formed in a pair on the left and right sides on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the cut-out portion of the front panel 123.

[0029] The guide grooves 21B, 21B extend in the depth direction of the storage section 12B and are recessed from the surface of the front panel 123 toward the vehicle front FR in a plan view, with their tips bent inward (toward the storage section 12B) in a crank shape. In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a panel-shaped radiant heater (heater panel) 30B and a pocket panel 50 are prepared, and these are selectively attached to the outside of the storage section 12B by utilizing guide grooves 21B, 21B.

[0030] Engagement protrusions 35 formed in a crank shape in plan view are formed on both left and right edges (both edges in the vehicle width direction) of the heater panel 30B in correspondence with the guide grooves 21B, 21B. Similarly, engagement protrusions 51 formed in a crank shape in plan view are formed on both left and right edges (both edges in the vehicle width direction) of the pocket panel 50 in correspondence with the guide grooves 21B, 21B.

[0031] Each of the engagement projections 35, 51 extends in the up-down direction of each of the panels 30B, 50 (in the depth direction of the storage section 12B when installed), protrudes to the rear surface of each of the panels 30B, 50 (the surface on the vehicle front FR side when installed), and its tip is bent inward (toward the storage section 12B). The outer width dimension of each of the engagement projections 35, 51 is set slightly smaller than the inner width dimension of each of the guide grooves 21B, 21B, so that each of the engagement projections 35, 51 can be smoothly inserted into the guide grooves 21B, 21B from above.

[0032] The heater panel 30B is equipped with a plate- or sheet-shaped heater body 36 on the surface facing the interior of the vehicle when it is attached to the outside of the storage section 12B. When power is supplied to the heater body 36, it generates heat, radiates infrared rays, etc., and supplies radiant heat. For this reason, a power supply harness 32 equipped with a connector 33 at its tip is connected to the heater panel 30B. The surface shape of the heater body 36 is set so that it is almost smoothly continuous with the surface of the front panel 123 when it is attached.

[0033] When the pocket panel 50 is attached to the outside of the storage section 12B, the surface panel section 52 on the inside of the vehicle compartment is located in the cut-out portion of the surface panel 123, and the surface shape is set so that it smoothly continues with the surface of the surface panel 123.

[0034] Furthermore, top panel parts 37, 53 are formed on the tops of the heater panel 30B and the pocket panel 50 to cover the upper part of the storage section 12B. Clips 38, 54 protrude downward from the left and right ends of the lower surface of the top panel parts 37, 53 as fasteners. The top panel part 53 of the pocket panel 50 has an elongated opening 11B in the vehicle width direction. In FIG. 6, the top panel parts 37, 53 are indicated by dashed lines.

[0035] On the other hand, on the instrument panel 7 side, there are provided an inner panel 122 formed by bending downward from the top panel portion 7a, and a bottom wall portion 121 and edge wall portions 124, 125 continuous with the inner panel 122. The inner panel 122, the bottom wall portion 121, the edge wall portions 124, 125, and the surface panel portion 52 of the pocket panel 50 define a storage section 12B. A connector 41 of the power harness 40 is disposed near the bottom wall portion 121 of the inner panel 122 of the storage section 12B.

[0036] Furthermore, in the top panel portion 7a, on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of each edge wall portion 124, 125 and in front of the guide grooves 21B, 21B (front FR of the vehicle), a fixing seat portion 24B for fixing the heater panel 30B or the pocket panel 50 with clips 38, 54 is formed. A fixing hole portion 26 for engaging the clip 38, 54 is formed in each fixing seat portion 24B.

[0037] [2.2. Actions and Effects] Since the instrument panel pocket 10B according to this embodiment is configured as described above, it can provide the following functions and effects.

[0038] That is, by inserting the engagement projections 35, 35 of the heater panel 30B into the left and right guide grooves 21B, 21B, and engaging the clips 38 with the fixing holes 26 to fix the heater panel 30B to the fixed seat portion 24B, the heater panel 30B can be attached to the arrangement location of the instrument panel pocket 10B as shown in FIG. 7(b), and the heater specification with the heater panel 30B installed can be achieved. The connector 33 and the connector 41 can be connected before or during the insertion of the engagement projections 35, 35 of the heater panel 30B into the guide grooves 21B, 21B. In this heater specification, when electricity is applied to the heater body 36, the heater body 36 generates heat and radiates infrared rays when power is supplied, and radiant heat is supplied to the feet of the passenger seated in the passenger seat 4.

[0039] In this embodiment, compared to the first embodiment, the heater body 36 can be placed closer to the feet of the occupant, and radiant heat is supplied to the feet of the occupant seated in the passenger seat 4 directly from the heater panel 30B without passing through the slit 13 as in the first embodiment, so that the feet of the occupant can be warmed more efficiently and quickly.

[0040] On the other hand, by releasing the fixing by the clip 38, removing the heater panel 30B from the guide grooves 21B, and instead inserting the engagement projections 51, 51 of the pocket panel 50 into the left and right guide grooves 21B, 21B, and engaging the clip 54 with the fixing hole 26 to fix the pocket panel 50 to the fixing seat 24B, as shown in Fig. 7(a), it is possible to obtain an instrument panel pocket specification without the heater panel 30B. This allows suitable thin storage items to be stored in the storage section 12B.

[0041] In this way, in the present instrument panel pocket 10B, as in the first embodiment, it is possible to easily switch between a specification with and without the heater panel 30B. For the same base vehicle, it is possible to easily switch between a heater specification for vehicles intended for cold climates and an instrument panel pocket specification for vehicles intended for warm climates. In addition, it is possible to easily switch between a specification with a heater and a specification with an instrument panel pocket according to the season.

[0042] [3. Third embodiment] [3.1. Configuration] Next, a third embodiment will be described. In this embodiment, the basic configuration of the vehicle 1 is similar to that shown in FIG. 8 and 9, in the same manner as in the second embodiment, the instrument panel pocket 10C of the present embodiment is opened by cutting out a portion of the storage section 12C of the front panel 123 that partitions the interior side of the vehicle. The guide grooves 21B, 21B of the instrument panel pocket 10B are formed in a pair on the left and right sides on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the cut-out portion of the front panel 123.

[0043] In addition, as shown in Figures 8 and 9, in the same manner as in the first embodiment, the instrument panel pocket 10C of this embodiment has a pair of guide grooves 21A, 21A formed on the left and right sides inside the storage section 12C, into which the left and right edge portions 301, 301 of a panel-shaped radiant heater (heater panel) 30C can be inserted from above. The guide grooves 21B, 21B are configured similarly to those in the second embodiment, and the guide grooves 21A, 21A are configured similarly to those in the first embodiment, so detailed description thereof will be omitted. Incidentally, the storage section 12C is configured similarly to the second embodiment except that guide grooves 21A, 21A are added to the storage section 12C of the second embodiment, and therefore detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0044] In this embodiment, the guide grooves 21B, 21B can be used to attach a pocket panel 50 similar to that of the second embodiment, and the guide grooves 21A, 21A can be used to attach a heater panel 30C that is a modified version of the heater panel 30C of the first embodiment. The pocket panel 50 is configured in the same manner as in the second embodiment, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted. As shown in Figures 8 and 9, the heater panel 30C has a top panel portion 37 formed on the top of the heater panel 30A of the first embodiment, which covers the upper part of the storage section 12 in the same manner as in the second embodiment. Clips 38 protruding downward as fixing devices are provided at the left and right end portions of the lower surface of the top panel portion 37. In Figure 9, the top panel portions 37, 53 are indicated by dashed lines.

[0045] [3.2. Actions and Effects] Since the instrument panel pocket 10C according to this embodiment is configured as described above, the following actions and effects can be obtained.

[0046] That is, by inserting the left and right edges 301, 301 of the heater panel 30C into the left and right guide grooves 21A, 21A and engaging the clips 38 with the fixing holes 26 to fix the heater panel 30C to the fixing seat 24B, the heater panel 30C can be attached to the arrangement location of the instrument panel pocket 10C as shown in Fig. 10(b) to achieve a heater specification with the heater panel 30C installed. In this case, the part below the fixing location of the heater panel 30C is elastically sandwiched between the wall part 22 of the guide groove 21A and the protruding piece 23, as in the first embodiment, so that the heater panel 30C does not swing due to vehicle vibration. In addition, since radiant heat is supplied to the feet of the occupant sitting in the passenger seat 4 directly from the heater panel 30C without passing through the slit 13 as in the first embodiment, it is possible to warm the feet of the occupant more efficiently and quickly.

[0047] On the other hand, by releasing the fixing by the clip 38, removing the heater panel 30C from the guide grooves 21A, and instead inserting the engagement protrusions 51 of the pocket panel 50 into the left and right guide grooves 21B, engaging the clip 54 with the fixing hole 26, and fixing the pocket panel 50 to the fixing seat portion 24B, as shown in FIG. 10(a), an instrument panel pocket specification without the heater panel 30C can be obtained. As a result, an appropriate thin storage object can be stored in the storage portion 12B. At this time, as in the first embodiment, the thin storage object can be elastically held in the guide groove 21A so that it does not swing even if the vehicle 1 vibrates.

[0048] In this way, in the present instrument panel pocket 10C, as in the first and second embodiments, it is possible to easily switch between a specification with and without the heater panel 30C.

[0049] [4.Other] The configuration of the above embodiment is merely an example, and can be modified appropriately without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. For example, in each of the above embodiments, an example was given of the application of this application to an instrument panel pocket in front of the passenger seat, but there are also cases where an instrument panel pocket is provided near the center of the vehicle width between the passenger seat and the driver's seat, and this application can also be applied to such an instrument panel pocket. The guide grooves 21A and 21B in the above embodiments are merely examples, and the shape and arrangement of the guide grooves can be changed as appropriate. The shapes of the portions of the radiant heaters 30A and 30B and the pocket panel 50 that are inserted into the guide grooves are not limited to those in the above embodiments, as long as they can enter the guide grooves.
