[0006] In a business environment where the company conducts a variety of campaigns and there are also a variety of point services etc. provided in the market, for multiple campaigns, it was necessary to develop programs for each to conform to the interfaces provided by third-party operators. This situation required a large amount of man-hours to implement the campaigns.

[0007] Therefore, it is desired to realize a selection system, a selection method, and a selection program that can reduce the man-hours for developing programs for implementing campaigns.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0008] The selection system according to the present invention is a selection system including at least one server computer capable of communicating with a client terminal, wherein the server computer has an acquisition function of acquiring a selection request transmitted from the client terminal, a selection function of performing selection according to the selection request, a generation function of generating information for the selected winner to be used when the client terminal selected in the selection accesses the server computer to receive a predetermined service, an issuance function of issuing the information for the selected winner to the client terminal selected in the selection, and a service request function of requesting the provision of the service to another server computer that provides the service to the client terminal when receiving an access based on the information for the selected winner from the client terminal.

[0009] The selection method according to the present invention is a selection method that performs selection using at least one server computer capable of communicating with a client terminal, wherein the server computer includes an acquisition step of acquiring a selection request transmitted from the client terminal, a selection step of performing selection according to the selection request, a generation step of generating winner information to be used when a client terminal selected in the selection accesses the server computer to receive a predetermined service, an issuance step of issuing the winner information to the client terminal selected in the selection, and a service request step of requesting provision of the service to another server computer that provides the service to the client terminal when the server computer receives access based on the winner information from the client terminal.

[0010] The selection program according to the present invention is a selection program executed on at least one server computer capable of communicating with a client terminal, and when executed on the server computer, includes an acquisition function of acquiring a selection request transmitted from the client terminal, a selection function of performing selection according to the selection request, a generation function of generating winner information to be used when a client terminal selected in the selection accesses the server computer to receive a predetermined service, an issuance function of issuing the winner information to the client terminal selected in the selection, and a service request function of requesting provision of the service to another server computer that provides the service to the client terminal when the server computer receives access based on the winner information from the client terminal.

[0011] According to these configurations, even when implementing a plurality of campaigns, it is easy to share some functions, so the man-hours for developing a program for implementing a campaign can be reduced.

[0012] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described. However, the scope of the present invention is not limited by the preferred embodiment examples described below.

[0013] As one aspect, the selection system according to the present invention is such that the information for the winners is individually used by each of the client terminals that have won the selection. In the issuing function, it is preferable to issue, to the client terminals that have won the selection, common information that is commonly used by a plurality of client terminals that have won the selection and the information for the winners.

[0014] According to this configuration, it is easy to simplify the information for the winners.

[0015] As one aspect, the selection system according to the present invention further acquires, in the acquisition function, identification information related to the client terminal, which is information that identifies at least one of the individual of the client terminal and the user of the client terminal. In the issuing function, it is preferable to link and store the information for the winners issued to the client terminal and the identification information acquired from the client terminal.

[0016] According to this configuration, it is easy to grasp the situation of issuing the information for the winners.

[0017] As one aspect, the selection system according to the present invention generates, in the generation function, a database including a plurality of the information for the winners. In the service request function, when the information for the winners used for access by the client terminal is included in the database, it is preferable to request the provision of the service to another server computer.

[0018] According to this configuration, the information for the winners can be efficiently generated, and it is easy to verify the validity of the information for the winners.

[0019] In one aspect, the selection system according to the present invention includes the server computer including a first server computer and a second server computer, the first server computer being capable of realizing the acquisition function, the selection function, and the issuance function, the second server computer being capable of realizing the generation function and the service request function, and preferably, the second server computer being further capable of realizing a transmission function of transmitting the information for the selected person to the first server computer.

[0020] According to this configuration, it is further easier to share functions among a plurality of campaigns.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0023] Embodiments of the selection system, selection method, and selection program according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Hereinafter, an example in which the selection system according to the present invention is applied to a selection system 1 used in a campaign for awarding digital points to some winners selected from consumers who have purchased a product will be described. Note that the digital point is a point (score) that the given user can exchange for valuable items, and is given, accumulated, and consumed without using a physical medium such as paper.

[0024] 〔Configuration of Selection System〕 The selection system 1 according to the present embodiment includes a first server computer 10 and a second server computer 20 (FIG. 1). Hereinafter, both server computers may be collectively referred to as server computers 10 and 20.

[0025] The hardware configuration of the server computers 10 and 20 can adopt the configuration of a known server-type computer. That is, the server computers 10 and 20 may each have components included in a general server-type computer, such as an arithmetic device such as a CPU, a storage device such as a hard disk drive, a display device such as a liquid crystal display, an input device such as a keyboard, and a communication device such as a wireless LAN module.

[0026] The server computers 10 and 20 are used in a campaign for selecting some consumers who have purchased a product and awarding digital points to the winners. This campaign is implemented by a business operator who manufactures and sells the product for the purpose of promoting the sales of the product. The server computers 10 and 20 are under the management of the business operator who conducts the campaign.

[0027] The server computers 10 and 20 are each independently connected to the Internet N. The server computers 10 and 20 can communicate with each other via the Internet N, and can also communicate with the client terminal C used by the consumer who has purchased the product and another server computer S that awards digital points.

[0028] The client terminal C is a terminal used by consumers who have purchased a product and is not under the control of the operator conducting the campaign. The client terminal C is not limited as long as it can be connected to the Internet N, and can be, for example, a smartphone, a tablet terminal, a personal computer, or the like.

[0029] The other server computer S is a server-type computer that can implement a function of awarding digital points. In the present embodiment, the other server computer S is not under the control of the operator conducting the campaign, but is managed by another operator (hereinafter referred to as a "third-party operator" for the sake of distinction) that provides a service for awarding digital points. Examples of the service for awarding digital points include, but are not limited to, d points (registered trademark) (NTT DOCOMO, INC.), Rakuten Points (registered trademark) (Rakuten Group, Inc.), QUO Card Pay (registered trademark) (QUO CARD Co., Ltd.), PayPay Points (registered trademark) (PayPay Corp.), LINE Points (registered trademark) (LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation), Amazon Points (registered trademark) (Amazon Technologies, Incorporated), etc., as provided in Japan at the time of filing of the present application. Also, services that start to be provided after the filing of the present application can also be used.

[0030] As a function of the other server computer S, there may be provided an application programming interface (API) that can be used from outside the service for the digital point service provided by the third-party operator, and this is assumed in the present embodiment. That is, the other server computer S has an API that can receive requests from outside regarding the awarding of digital points and the like, and the selection system 1 uses the API.

[0031] 〔Functions and Selection Method of Selection System〕 Next, a selection method using the selection system 1 and a selection function for realizing the same will be described (Figs. 2 to 5). Fig. 2 shows the processing flow in the first server computer 10, and Fig. 3 shows the processing flow in the second server computer 20. Fig. 4 is a diagram showing the information flow among the selection system 1, the client terminal C, and other server computers S when the selection is won. Fig. 5 is a diagram showing an example of the database 30 generated in the second server computer 20.

[0032] (1) Acquisition function (acquisition step) The selection system 1 acquires a selection request and identification information transmitted from the client terminal C (S10). In the present embodiment, the first server computer 10 realizes the acquisition function (Figs. 2 and 4).

[0033] Consumers who wish to participate in the selection read the access destination display (such as a two-dimensional code) described on the product targeted by the campaign into the client terminal C and access the campaign site existing on the selection system 1 (on the first server computer 10 in the present embodiment). The access destination is represented in a format such as a URL. The access to the campaign site can be performed using browser software such as Safari (Apple Inc.) or Google (registered trademark) Chrome (Google LLC), or social network service software such as X (X Corporation) or LINE (LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation).

[0034] When a consumer accesses the campaign site, or clicks, taps, etc. on the selection application button displayed on the campaign site, an application for the selection is made. At this time, the client terminal C transmits a selection request for requesting the execution of the selection to the selection system 1 and a set of identification information for identifying the consumer to the selection system 1, and the selection system 1 acquires this. Note that the identification information may be a value input on the campaign site, or information stored in advance in the client terminal C or the like. When access to the campaign site is performed using social network service software, the user account of the social network service can be the identification information. Note that, as the identification information, information for identifying the individual of the client terminal C may be used instead of, or in addition to, the information for identifying the consumer.

[0035] (2) Selection function (selection process) The selection function is a function for performing a selection according to a selection request, and determines a win or loss for the client terminal C that has transmitted the selection request according to certain conditions (S20). In the present embodiment, the first server computer 10 realizes the selection function (FIG. 2). The consumer (client terminal C) who has won in the selection function obtains the right to receive the grant of digital points (an example of a predetermined service).

[0036] As the selection conditions, first, a condition for randomly selecting a winner is exemplified. This is a condition generally also called a lottery. That is, a predetermined ratio of the consumers (client terminals C) who have applied for the selection is set as the winners, and the rest are set as the losers. In this case, typically, a selection using a random number is performed, and the win or loss is randomly determined according to the predetermined winning ratio.

[0037] Second, as a selection condition, there is an example of a condition that always selects consumers whose product purchase quantity has reached a predetermined quantity. In this case, when the consumer (client terminal C) accesses the selection system 1 (first server computer 10), the first server computer 10 records the number of accesses for each acquired identification information. Then, if the recorded number of accesses has reached a predetermined value, it is considered a win, and if not, it is considered a loss. As a modification of this example, in addition to or instead of the number of accesses, scores set for each product may be accumulated and recorded. In this case, for example, the score can be weighted according to the appearance of the product or the like.

[0038] In addition to the above example, the selection condition may be, for example, first-come, first-served. In the selection process, a sub-category (winning category) may be provided among the winners. In this case, for example, different digital points can be assigned for each winning category.

[0039] (3) Generation function (generation process) The generation function is a function that generates winner information used when the client terminal C that has won the selection accesses the second server computer 20 to receive the grant of digital points. In this embodiment, the second server computer 20 realizes the generation function (Fig. 4). The generation function is preferably realized before the first server computer 10 receives a selection request from the client terminal C.

[0040] In the generation function, a database 30 (Fig. 5) including a plurality of pieces of winner information is generated (S30). In this embodiment, the database 30 is in the form of a table, and each record 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d... corresponds to the issuable or issued winner information. The number of records included in the database 30 can be arbitrarily determined by the user of the selection system 1 (such as the operator who conducts the campaign) according to the planned number of winners or the like. For example, in the generation function, when the planned number of winners is input to the second server computer 20, a database 30 having the number of records corresponding to the number of winners is generated.

[0041] Each record in the database 30 has fields of a request ID 31, a coupon ID 32, a campaign ID 33, a gift code 34, a number of points 35, and an issue date and time 36.

[0042] The request ID 31 is a field that stores an ID for identifying each record included in the database 30, and is the primary key of the database 30. The request ID 31 is generated simultaneously, for example, when the database 30 having a number of records corresponding to the number of winners is generated.

[0043] The coupon ID 32 is a field that stores information for the winner issued to the winner. The information for the winner is issued to the client terminal C in the issuing function described later, and when the client terminal C accesses the second server computer 20 using the information for the winner, it can receive the awarding of digital points. The information for the winner is used individually by each client terminal C that has won the selection. Incidentally, hereinafter, for convenience, accessing the second server computer 20 using the information for the winner is simply referred to as "using the information for the winner".

[0044] The campaign ID 33 is a field that identifies the campaign in which the database 30 is used. For example, the second server computer 20 may have an upper database (not shown) positioned higher than the database 30 and may be configured to manage a plurality of campaigns in the upper database. In this case, by including, in each record corresponding to the information for the winner in the database 30 corresponding to each individual campaign, an ID for identifying the campaign in the upper database, even when a plurality of campaigns are carried out simultaneously, it is easy to manage the information for the winner of each campaign.

[0045] The gift code 34 is a field for storing the response from another server computer S. Although details will be described later, when the information for the winner is used, a request for digital point assignment is made from the second server computer 20 to another server computer S, and the second server computer 20 receives some response from the other server computer S. Such a response may be, for example, that the information for the winner has been used or that the expiration date of the information for the winner has passed. Note that before the information for the winner in a certain record is used, since the second server computer 20 has not received the response from the other server computer S that should be stored in the record, the gift code 34 has a null value.

[0046] The point number 35 is a field for storing the value of the digital points granted from another server computer S. Before the information for the winner is used, like the gift code 34, the point number 35 has a null value.

[0047] The issue date and time 36 is a field for storing the date and time when a response is received from another server computer S. Before the information for the winner is used, like the gift code 34, the issue date and time 36 has a null value.

[0048] In the example shown in FIG. 5, the record 30a has been used, and values are stored in each field of the gift code 34, the point number 35, and the issue date and time 36. On the other hand, the records 30b, 30c, and 30d have not been used, and each field of the gift code 34, the point number 35, and the issue date and time 36 has a null value.

[0049] (4) Transmission function (transmission process) The transmission function is a function in which the second server computer 20 transmits the information for the winner to the first server computer 10 (FIG. 4). The second server computer 20 transmits the group of information for the winner included in the database 30 to the first server computer 10 (S40). It is preferable that the transmission function is realized before the first server computer 10 receives a selection request from the client terminal C.

[0050] The information sent by the second server computer 20 to the first server computer 10 is not limited in format as long as it includes the group of information for the selected candidates. For example, it can be text data listing the information for the selected candidates. Also, all the information for the selected candidates included in the database 30 may be sent at once, or may be sent in multiple batches.

[0051] The first server computer 10 stores the received information for the selected candidates and uses it in the issuing function described later. Note that the information for the selected candidates is managed with the information stored in the database 30 of the second server computer 20 as the original, but it is not prohibited to manage it as a copy in the first server computer 10.

[0052] (5) Issuing function (issuing process) The issuing function is a function that issues information for the selected candidates to the client terminal C that has won the selection. The issuing function is realized when the result of the selection in the selection function is a win. In this embodiment, the first server computer 10 realizes the issuing function (FIG. 2, FIG. 4).

[0053] In the issuing function, the first server computer 10 issues, to the client terminal C that has won the selection, the common information that a plurality of client terminals that have won the selection use in common, and the above-mentioned information for the selected candidates that each individual client terminal C that has won the selection uses individually (S51). As an example, the common information is a URL (an example of information specifying an area on the server computer) for the client terminal C that has won the selection to access the second server computer 20, and the unique information is a query parameter added to the URL to identify the individual client terminal C. On the client terminal C that has received the common information and the information for the selected candidates, for example, a hyperlink is displayed to the URL (common information) with the query parameter (information for the selected candidates) added.

[0054] Furthermore, the first server computer 10 stores the winner information received from the second server computer 20 in association with the identification information received from the client terminal C to which the winner information was issued (S52).

[0055] The issuing function may issue a notification of rejection to the client terminal C that was not selected (S53).

[0056] (6) Service request function (service request process) The service request function is a function that, when the second server computer 20 receives access from a client terminal C based on the winner information, requests another server computer S to grant digital points to the client terminal C. In this embodiment, the second server computer 20 realizes the service request function (FIG. 3).

[0057] As described above, in the issuing function, the client terminal C that has been selected is provided with a method of accessing the second server computer 20 in the form of a hyperlink to a URL (common information) to which a query parameter (winner information) has been added. When the client terminal C accesses the URL (S61) (an example of access based on the winner information), a web page for receiving the digital points is displayed on the client terminal C.

[0058] The second server computer 20 that has received access from the client terminal C based on the winner information queries the database 30 for the winner information used for the access (S62). Here, if there is no entry containing the winner information in the field of the coupon ID 32, it is determined that the winner information is invalid. Also, if the expiration date of the winner information has passed, it is determined that the winner information is invalid (S63). Further, even if there is an entry containing the winner information in the field of the coupon ID 32 and the winner information is within the expiration date, if the fields of the gift code 34, the number of points 35, and the issue date and time 36 of the entry are not null values, it is determined that the winner information has been used (S64). In these cases, a response indicating that the digital points cannot be granted is returned to the client terminal C (S65).

[0059] In the database 30, if there is an entry containing the winner information used for the access in the field of the coupon ID 32 and the fields of the gift code 34, the number of points 35, and the issue date and time 36 of the entry are null values, the winner information is considered valid and the process proceeds to the process of granting digital points. In this case, the second server computer 20 sends a service request to another server computer S and requests that digital points be granted to the client terminal C (S66). The service request is sent in a format that conforms to the specifications of the API of the other server computer S.

[0060] Another server computer S operates in response to a service request from the second server computer 20 and returns some response. When the granting of digital points is performed effectively, an issuance code including information such as the quantity of points to be granted is transmitted to the second server computer 20. Also, when digital points are not granted because the expiration date of the digital points has passed or for some other reason, a response indicating that no digital points will be granted is transmitted to the second server computer 20. The response received by the second server computer 20 from another server computer S is stored in each field of the gift code 34 and the number of points 35 of an entry including the information for the winner used for access in the field of the coupon ID 32, and the reception date and time thereof is stored in each field of the issuance date and time 36.

[0061] When the second server computer 20 receives an issuance code from another server computer S, the second server computer 20 transmits a winning confirmation page to the client terminal C (S68). The winning confirmation page includes a hyperlink to the website to be accessed in order to receive the granting of digital points from another server computer S. When the user of the client terminal C accesses the website from the client terminal C, the user can receive the granting of digital points.

[0062] When the second server computer 20 does not receive an issuance code from another server computer S, the second server computer 20 returns a response to the client terminal C indicating that the client terminal C cannot receive the granting of digital points (S65).

[0063] Note that the client terminal C that accesses the second server computer 20 using the winner information may be the client terminal C itself that has received the issuance of the winner information by the issuance function, or may be another client terminal C that has received the transfer of the winner information from the client terminal C that has received the issuance of the winner information. That is, the user of the client terminal C that has won the selection can transfer the right to receive the digital points to another user.

[0064] 〔Operation and Effect of Selection System〕 The selection system according to the present embodiment is particularly suitable when implementing a plurality of campaigns.

[0065] The acquisition function is implemented based on the path through which the client terminal C participates in the campaign. As described above, browser software and social network service software are typical as such paths. On the other hand, the service request function is implemented based on the API of another server computer S. These elements are generally not under the control of the operator who conducts the campaign, and it is difficult to adjust according to the judgment of the operator.

[0066] Conventionally, for each combination of the path through which the client terminal C participates in the campaign and the service to be used, a program for conforming to the API has been required. That is, for each campaign, development corresponding to the product of the number of acceptable participation paths and the number of services to be provided is required.

[0067] In the above embodiment, the participation of the client terminal C in the campaign and the request for service provision to another server computer S are mediated by the generation function and the issuance function set for each campaign. Therefore, for the campaign participation path (acquisition function) and the provided service (service request function) that are difficult for the operator who conducts the campaign to adjust, the functions can be shared across a plurality of campaigns. As a result, the man-hours for developing the program for conducting the campaign can be reduced.

[0068] 〔Other Embodiments〕 Finally, other embodiments of the selection system, selection method, and selection program according to the present invention will be described. Note that the configurations disclosed in the following respective embodiments can be applied in combination with the configurations disclosed in other embodiments as long as there is no contradiction.

[0069] In the above embodiment, the configuration in which the selection system 1 includes the first server computer 10 and the second server computer 20 has been described as an example. However, the number of server computers in the selection system according to the present invention is not limited. That is, in addition to the above embodiment, a configuration in which a single server computer can realize each function, and a configuration in which three or more server computers share and realize each function can also be embodiments of the present invention.

[0070] In the above embodiment, the configuration in which the service requested from another server computer in the service request function is the granting of digital points has been described as an example. However, the service requested from another server computer in the present invention is not limited to the above example. Examples of such services include the issuance of digital coupons, the granting of the right to use digital content, the granting of the right to receive services in the real space (provision of train tickets, admission tickets, viewing tickets, etc.), application for a lottery, etc., but are not limited thereto.

[0071] In the above embodiment, the configuration in which the operator managing the selection system 1 is different from the operator managing the other server computer S has been described as an example. However, in the present invention, whether the operator managing the selection system is the same as or different from the operator managing the other server computer does not matter. Further, when the selection system includes a plurality of server computers, the administrators of the plurality of server computers and the other server computer can be determined independently.

[0072] In the above-described embodiment, the configuration for acquiring the selection request and the identification information in the acquisition function has been described as an example. However, the acquisition of the identification information in the acquisition function of the present invention is optional.

[0073] In the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which the database 30 including information for multiple winners is generated in the generation function has been described as an example. However, the form of the information for winners generated in the generation function of the present invention is optional.

[0074] In the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which the information for the winner is issued to the client terminal C together with the common information in the issuance function has been described as an example. However, in the issuance function according to the present invention, the mode in which the information for the winner is issued to the client terminal is not limited.

[0075] Regarding other configurations as well, it should be understood that all the embodiments disclosed in this specification are illustrative in all respects, and the scope of the present invention is not limited thereby. A person skilled in the art will easily understand that appropriate modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Therefore, other embodiments modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention are naturally included in the scope of the present invention.
