To provide an information processing device capable of hierarchically deriving an event latent within input data.SOLUTION: An information processing device 1 comprises a storage unit that stores a hierarchical structure composed of multiple nodes to which first text data relating to known events are assigned, a division unit 111 that divides input data into segmented text data, a calculation unit 112 that calculates the similarity between the first text data assigned to each node and each segmented text data, a first assignment unit 113 that assigns the segmented text data as second text data to the node of the first text data whose similarity is a predetermined value or above, and a second assignment unit 114 that generates new text data corresponding to the perspective of the first text data assigned to the same node based on the assigned second text data, and assigns the new text data as second text data to a node in the upper hierarchy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
