[0020] <Resin composition for fibers> First, the fiber resin composition of the present invention will be described. The fiber resin composition of the present invention contains a synthetic resin and, as a nucleating agent, a compound containing a monovalent group represented by the following general formula (1).
[0021] [ka]
[0022] (In the general formula (1), X represents a divalent group, and Ar 1 and Ar 2 each independently represents an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group, and * represents a bonding site with another atom.)
[0023] The resin composition for fibers of this embodiment has improved properties of synthetic resins.
[0024] (synthetic resin) Examples of synthetic resins contained in the resin composition for fibers of this embodiment include thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins.

[0027] The synthetic resin may be one type alone or two or more types in combination, and may be a copolymer or a polymer alloy.
[0028] In the resin composition for fibers of this embodiment, the synthetic resin is preferably a thermoplastic resin, more preferably a crystalline resin, and further preferably contains a polyolefin resin.
[0029] Examples of polyolefin-based resins include polyethylene-based resins such as low-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, cross-linked polyethylene, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene; polypropylene-based resins such as homopolypropylene, random copolymer polypropylene, block copolymer polypropylene, impact copolymer polypropylene, high-impact copolymer polypropylene, and maleic anhydride-modified polypropylene; α-olefin polymers such as polybutene-1, cycloolefin polymer, poly-3-methyl-1-butene, poly-3-methyl-1-pentene, and poly-4-methyl-1-pentene; and α-olefin copolymers such as ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. From the viewpoint of improving the heat resistance of the resin composition, in the resin composition for fibers of this embodiment, the polyolefin-based resin preferably contains at least one selected from the group consisting of polyethylene-based resins and polypropylene-based resins, and particularly preferably contains a polypropylene-based resin.
