[0009] The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings and examples. In this specification, relational terms such as "first," "second," etc. are merely intended to distinguish between elements having the same name and do not require or imply that any actual relation or order exists between those elements.
[0010] The embodiment of the present invention provides a control valve, which is applicable to a vehicle thermal management system, particularly to a coolant circulation system, and can perform the functions of flow isolation, conduction and switching of the thermal management system.
[0011] As shown in Figures 1 to 4, a control valve 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a valve body 31, a valve element 32, and a sealing member 33. The valve body 31 has a storage chamber and communication ports 301, of which there are at least four. The valve body 31 includes a side wall portion 311, an upper wall portion 312 and a bottom cover portion 313, at least a portion of the side wall portion 311 is located between the bottom cover portion 313 and the upper wall portion 312 along the axial direction of the side wall portion 311, the side wall portion 311, the upper wall portion 312 and the bottom cover portion 313 define at least a portion of the storage chamber, the communication port 301 is located on the inner surface of the side wall portion 311, the inner surface of the side wall portion 311 faces the storage chamber, the upper wall portion 312 and the bottom cover portion 313 are both sealed and connected to the side wall portion 311, at least a portion of the valve body 32 is located in the storage chamber, and the valve body 32 can be rotated by being driven. At least a portion of the sealing member 33 is located between the side wall portion 311 and the valve body 32 along the radial direction of the side wall portion 311 to seal the control valve 30, and the sealing member 33 has a hole passage that faces the position of the communication port 301 and communicates with the corresponding communication port 301. The control valve 30 further includes a drive unit 34, which includes a drive member including a motor or a combination of a motor and a group of transmission gears. The drive member is power-transmittingly connected to the valve body 32 to drive the valve body 32 to rotate, and the rotation of the valve body 32 realizes the conductive function of the different communication ports 301.
[0012] And the control valve 30 further includes a connecting pipe 314, which has a flow passage, one end of which is connected to the corresponding communication port 301, and the other end forms a port of the control valve 30, which may be integrated in the same plane or arranged according to the usage needs, or the connecting pipe 314 may be connected to other fluid units in the thermal management system, which may be structures such as a heat exchanger, a water pump, etc.
[0013] As shown in Figures 4 to 9, in an embodiment of the present invention, at least a portion of the communication ports 301 are provided along the circumferential direction of the side wall portion 311, and when specifically implemented, all of the communication ports 301 are provided along the circumferential direction of the side wall portion 311. Along the circumferential direction of the valve body 32, the valve body 32 has M connecting chambers, and in any operation mode of the control valve 30, the control valve 30 has N flow paths, and the flow path is a fluid flow path formed by at least two communication ports 301 passing through the same connecting chamber of the valve body 32. For example, in FIG. 5, the second connection port P2 and the fourth connection port P4 form one fluid flow path so as to communicate through one connecting chamber of the valve body 32, and M≧2. In at least one operation mode of the control valve 30, M>N, where M and N are both positive integers, and the sum of the communication ports 301 included in the N flow paths is smaller than the sum of the communication ports 301 on the side wall portion 311.
[0014] In at least one operating mode of the control valve 30, N=1, and two or three of the communication ports 301 form a single flow path, for example, if one flow path includes three communication ports 301, the three communication ports 301 are smaller than the number of four communication ports 301 on the side wall portion 311, separating one communication port 301; in at least one other operating mode of the control valve 30, N=2, and four of the communication ports 301 are connected in pairs. In a specific implementation, when the control valve 30 is in different operating modes, the number of flow paths N formed may be different. For example, when the control valve 30 is in the operating mode of Figures 5 to 7, N = 1, and in this case, the control valve 30 has one flow path; when the control valve 30 is in the operating mode of Figure 8, N = 2, and in this case, the control valve 30 has two flow paths.
[0015] The body of the valve body 32 is a columnar structure, and the valve body 32 is an integral injection molded structure. The valve body 32 includes a first conductive chamber 321 and a first partition plate 325, and this first partition plate 325 forms a part of the wall of the first conductive chamber 321. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, when the valve body 32 is in a first position, the first conductive chamber 321 connects at least two communication ports 301, and as shown in Figures 4 to 7, when the valve body 32 is in at least one of the first and second positions, the first partition plate 325 separates at least one communication port 301. In this specification, separation means that the communication port in question is not connected to any other communication port within the range of the control valve 30, and the communication port 301 in question is in a "closed" state. With the above arrangement, the first partition plate 325 separates at least one communication port 301, and further, fluid between that communication port 301 and any other communication port 301 is not conducted within the range of the control valve 30, thereby realizing the "closing" function of that communication port 301 by the first partition plate 325. In this specification, closing a communication port means that the communication port is not communicated with any of the other communication ports within the range of the control valve 30.
[0016] 1 and 4 to 9, the valve body 32 includes two first partition plates 325, and the two first partition plates 325 form two side walls of the first communicating chamber 321. The first communicating chamber 321 has two first openings 3211 on the outer circumferential side of the valve body 32. In a first position of the valve body 32, one of the first openings 3211 corresponds to and communicates with at least one of the communicating ports 301, and the other first opening 3211 corresponds to and communicates with at least another of the communicating ports 301. As shown in FIGS. 7, in the second position of the valve body 32, one of the first openings 3211 of the first communicating chamber 321 corresponds to and communicates with one of the communicating ports 301, and the other first opening 3211 is positioned offset from the communicating port 301. In this case, the first partition plate 325 separates the communicating port corresponding to the first communicating chamber 321, and the communicating port does not communicate with any of the other communicating ports within the range of the control valve 30. The sealing function of the sealing member is combined to realize the “closing” function of the communicating port. With the above arrangement, the flow path can be established by one first communicating chamber 321, and the isolating function of at least one communication port 301 can be realized, so that the structure of the control valve 30 of this embodiment is simplified.
[0017] 4 to 9, the valve body 32 further includes a second communicating chamber 322, one of the first partition plates 325 is located between the first communicating chamber 321 and the second communicating chamber 322, a first opening 3211 on the outer circumferential side of the valve body 32 of the first communicating chamber 321 is smaller than a second opening 3221 on the outer circumferential side of the valve body 32 of the second communicating chamber 322, and the area of the second opening 3221 is three times or more the area of one communicating port 301, whereby the second communicating chamber 322 communicates with at least three communicating ports 301. The area of the first opening 3211 is at least once the area of one of the communication ports 301 and is less than twice the area of one of the communication ports 301; in other words, the two communication ports 301 cannot be in a fully connected state at the same time, and the communication ports 301 being in a fully connected state means that the opening of the conductive chamber of the valve body 32 can be positioned to match the communication ports of all areas.
[0018] The communication port 301 includes a first connection port P1, a second connection port P2, a third connection port P3 and a fourth connection port P4 arranged along the circumferential direction of the side wall portion 311, and these first connection port P1, second connection port P2, third connection port P3 and fourth connection port P4 are arranged in sequence along the circumferential direction of the side wall portion 311. The valve body 32 has one first position and two second positions, and the two second positions are defined as a second sub-position and a third sub-position, respectively. The position of the first conductive chamber 321 in the accommodating chamber differs between the first position, the second sub-position and the third sub-position. By rotating the valve body 32, the valve body 32 can be switched between the above positions. The conductive states of the communication ports when the valve body 32 is in different positions will be described below.
[0019] As shown in FIG. 5, when the valve body 32 is in the first position, the control valve 30 is in the first operating mode, and the control valve 30 has a flow path FP0 which is the first flow path FP1. Specifically, the first conductive chamber 321 connects the second connection port P2 and the fourth connection port P4, that is, the first flow path FP1 includes the second connection port P2, the first conductive chamber 321 of the valve body 32 and the fourth connection port P4, and the first partition plate 325 separates the first connection port P1 and the third connection port P3, and at this time, the first connection port P1 and the third connection port P3 are both in the "closed" state.
[0020] As shown in FIG. 6, when the valve body 32 is in the second sub-position, the control valve 30 is in the second operating mode, and the control valve 30 has a flow path FP0 which is a second flow path FP2, specifically, the second conductive chamber 322 of the valve body 32 connects the first connection port P1, the second connection port P2 and the fourth connection port P4, that is, the second flow path FP2 includes the first connection port P1, the second conductive chamber 321 of the valve body 32, the second connection port P2 and the fourth connection port P4, and the first partition plate 325 separates the third connection port P3, and at this time, the third connection port P3 is in a "closed" state.
[0021] As shown in FIG. 7, in the third sub-position, the control valve 30 is in the third operating mode, and the control valve 30 has a flow path FP0 which is a third flow path FP3, specifically, the second connecting chamber 322 of the valve body 32 connects the first connection port P1, the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4, that is, the second flow path FP2 includes the first connection port P1, the second connecting chamber 322 of the valve body 32, the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4, and the first partition plate 325 separates the second connection port P2, and at this time, the second connection port P2 is in a "closed" state.
[0022] The valve body 32 further includes a third conduit chamber 323, one of the first partition plates 325 is located between the first conduit chamber 321 and the second conduit chamber 322, and the other first partition plate 325 is located between the first conduit chamber 321 and the third conduit chamber 323, and the first conduit chamber 321 is located between the second conduit chamber 322 and the third conduit chamber 323 along the radial direction of the valve body 32, in which case the valve body 32 further has a fourth position, and when the valve body 32 is in the fourth position, the control valve 30 is in a fourth operating mode, and the third conduit chamber 323 communicates between the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4. The area of the third opening of the third communicating chamber 323 on the outer periphery side of the valve body 32 is more than twice the area of one communicating port and less than three times the area of one communicating port 301. In other words, two communicating ports 301 can be brought into electrical communication at the same time, but three communicating ports 301 cannot be brought into complete communication at the same time.
[0023] Based on this, as shown in FIG. 8, the valve body 32 further has a fourth position, the control valve 30 is in a fourth operating mode, the control valve 30 has two flow paths FP0, namely, a fourth flow path FP4 and a fifth flow path FP5, the second conduit chamber 322 of the valve body 32 connects the first connection port P1 and the second connection port P2, the third conduit chamber 323 of the valve body 32 connects the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4, in which the fourth flow path FP4 includes the first connection port P1, the second conduit chamber 322 of the valve body 32 and the second connection port P2, and the fifth flow path FP5 includes the third connection port P3, the third conduit chamber 323 of the valve body 32 and the fourth connection port P4.
[0024] The above-mentioned structure and operating mode arrangement of the control valve 30 can realize different conduction paths of the control valve 30 and different separations of the connection ports, so that when the control valve 30 is applied to a thermal management system, it can meet the needs of different operating modes of the thermal management system.
[0025] In the embodiment shown in Figures 4 to 9, the valve body 32 has three communicating chambers along the circumferential direction of the valve body 32, i.e., M = 3, and in any one of the four operating modes above, N < 2.
[0026] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4, the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4 are disposed adjacent to each other, and the first connection port P1 and the second connection port P2 are disposed adjacent to each other. The angle a1 between the center line of the first connection port P1 and the center line of the fourth connection port P4 is 90° or more, the angle between the center lines of two adjacent communication ports 301 is 45° or less, the angle between the center line of the third connection port P3 and the center line of the fourth connection port P4 is 45° or less, and correspondingly, the angle between the center line of the first connection port P1 and the center line of the second connection port P2 is 45° or less.
[0027] As shown in Figures 10 to 13, these are structural diagrams of a control valve which is another embodiment of the present invention. The control valve provided by the embodiment of the present invention has the same operation mode as the control valve of Figures 1 to 9 and a similar structure, that is, in the embodiment of the present invention, N≦2. The valve body 32 of the control valve 30 in Figures 10 to 13 includes a first conducting chamber 321 and a second conducting chamber 322. In this case, the control valve 30 has two communicating chambers, M=2, the first communicating chamber 321 is closer to the central axis of the valve body 32 than the second communicating chamber 322 along the radial direction of the valve body 32, the first communicating chamber 321 has two first openings 3211 on the circumferential surface of the valve body 32, and the second communicating chamber 322 has one second opening 3221 on the outer circumferential side of the valve body 32, and the area of the second opening 3221 is three times or more larger than the area of one communication port, that is, at least three communication ports 301 can be simultaneously communicated. 1 to 9. The structure of the control valve 30 according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 10 to 13.
[0028] One of the first partition plates 325 of the first conductive chamber 321 forms a first isolated chamber 3241, and as shown in Figures 13 to 15, both side edges extending along the axial direction of the first partition plate 325 abut against the sealing member 33, so that the first partition plate 325 and the sealing member 33 are surrounded to form a isolated space and close one communication opening 301, and the first partition plate 325 in Figure 13 is approximately an L-shaped plate. Along the radial direction of the valve body 32, the first communicating chamber 321 is located between the first isolated chamber 3241 and the second communicating chamber 322, and the area of the opening of the first isolated chamber 3241 on the outer circumferential side of the valve body is at least once the area of one of the communicating ports and is not more than twice the area of one of the communicating ports. The other first partition plate 325 of the first conduction chamber 321 includes a first sub-portion 3251, a second sub-portion 3252 and a third sub-portion 3253, and the extension direction of the first sub-portion 3251 intersects with the extension direction of the second sub-portion 3252, and both the first sub-portion 3251 and the second sub-portion 3252 intersect with the third sub-portion 3253, so that the cross section of the first partition plate 325 along the axial direction perpendicular to the valve body 32 has a “Y” shape.
[0029] In order to achieve the function of isolating the connection ports in all of the multiple operating modes of the control valve 30, the first sub-portion 3251 of the first partition plate 325 forms a part of the wall of the first connecting chamber 321, the first sub-portion 3251 and the third sub-portion 3253 form one side wall of the first connecting chamber 321, and a second isolated chamber 3242 is formed between the second sub-portion 3252 and the first sub-portion 3251, i.e., the second sub-portion 3252, the first sub-portion 3251 and the sealing member 33 form an enclosed isolated space, and the opening area of the second isolated chamber 3242 on the outer periphery of the valve body 32 is equal to or greater than the area of one communication port 301 and is not more than twice the area of one communication port, i.e., the two communication ports 301 cannot be fully connected at the same time.
[0030] At the first position and at least one of the second positions, one of the first isolated chamber 3241 and the second isolated chamber 3242 is disposed opposite one of the communication ports 301 and isolates the communication port 301 . With the above arrangement, the first partition plate 325 corresponding to the isolated chamber can isolate the communication port 301 of the control valve 30 .
[0031] As shown in FIG. 14, the fourth connection port P4, the first connection port P1 and the second connection port P2 are arranged adjacent to each other, the included angle between the center line of the fourth connection port P4 and the center line of the first connection port P1 is 45° or less, the included angle between the center line of the first connection port P1 and the center line of the second connection port P2 is 45° or less, and the included angle between the center line of the third connection port P3 and the center line of the fourth connection port P4 is 90° or more.
[0032] As shown in FIG. 15, the valve body 32 is in a first position, and the control valve 30 is in a first operating mode, in which the first isolated chamber 3241 corresponds to and communicates with the first connection port P1, and isolates the first connection port P1 to "close" the first connection port P1, the first partition plate 325 isolates the third connection port P3, and the second connection port P2 and the fourth connection port P4 are interconnected via the first communicating chamber 321, and the first flow path FP1 of the control valve 30 includes the second connection port P2, the first communicating chamber 321, and the fourth connection port P4.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 16, the valve body 32 is located in the second sub-position, and the control valve 30 is in the second operating mode, in which the first isolated chamber 3241 corresponds to and communicates with the third connection port P3, and by isolating the third connection port P3, the third connection port P3 is "closed", and the second connection port P2, the first connection port P1 and the fourth connection port P4 are communicated through the second communicating chamber 322, and in this case, the second flow path FP2 includes the second connection port P2, the second communicating chamber 322, the first connection port P1 and the fourth connection port P4.
[0034] As shown in FIG. 17, the valve body 32 is in the third sub-position, and the control valve 30 is in the third operating mode, in which the second isolated chamber 3242 corresponds to and communicates with the second connection port P2, and the second connection port P2 is isolated to "close" it, and the first connection port P1, the fourth connection port P4 and the third connection port P3 communicate with each other via the second communicating chamber 322, and the third flow path FP3 includes the first connection port P1, the second communicating chamber 322, the third connection port P3 and the fourth connection port P4.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 18, the valve body 32 is in the fourth position, and the control valve 30 is in the fourth operating mode, in which the fourth connection port P4 and the third connection port P3 are connected via the first connecting chamber 321, and the first connection port P1 and the second connection port P2 are connected via the second connecting chamber 322, and in which the fourth flow path FP4 includes the first connection port P1, the second connecting chamber 322, and the second connection port P2, and the fifth flow path FP5 includes the third connection port P3, the first connecting chamber 321, and the fourth connection port P4.
[0036] Then, the valve body 32 can reach the second sub-position when rotated 90° from the third sub-position, can reach the fourth position when rotated 45° from the second sub-position, and can reach the first position when rotated 90° from the fourth position. The user can arrange the valve body 32 and the communication port position and structure according to needs, and then rotate the valve body 32 by a corresponding angle to reach a corresponding position, thereby realizing the corresponding operation mode of the control valve 30. Here, based on the structure of this specification, by continuously rotating the valve body 32, further other operation modes can be realized, which are not mentioned in detail.
[0037] Along the height direction of the control valve 30, the height of the control valve 30 is 150 mm or less, along the width direction of the control valve 30, the width direction is perpendicular to the height direction and the width of the control valve 30 is 100 mm or less, and along the length direction of the control valve 30, the length direction is perpendicular to both the height direction and the width direction and the length of the control valve 30 is 150 mm or less. With the above-described arrangement, the size of the control valve 30 becomes reasonable, and miniaturization can be easily achieved. In this specification, the height direction of the control valve 30 is parallel to or overlaps with the axial direction of the valve body 32 .
[0038] As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 11, the control valve 30 further includes a detection unit to monitor the rotation position of the valve element 32 and whether the valve element 32 has stalled. The detection unit includes a test element 3261 and a detection element (not shown), and the test element 3261 can rotate synchronously with the valve body 32. Preferably, the valve body 32 includes a valve body shaft 326, and the test element 3261 is located at one end of the valve body shaft 326 and fixedly connected to the valve body shaft 326. The test element 3261 may be a magnetic element, and correspondingly, the detection element may be a Hall element. During the rotation of the valve body 32, the Hall element is always located within the magnetic field range of the magnetic element, so that the Hall element and the magnetic element cooperate with each other to detect the position of the valve body 32. By fixing and connecting the test element 3261 to the valve body 32, the position of the valve body 32 can be detected more accurately. As used herein, a fixed connection may be, but is not limited to, a connection made by welding, adhesive, threaded connection, fasteners, or by integral molding to form a one-piece structure or a heat crimping process.
[0039] As described above, according to the control valve 30 of the present invention, the valve element 32 is rotatable in the accommodation chamber, and the valve element 32 has the first communicating chamber 321, and also includes the first partition plate 325, the first end plate 327 and the second end plate 328. The first end plate 327 and the second end plate 328 are spaced apart from each other along the axial direction of the valve body 32, and at least a part of the first partition plate 325 is located between the first end plate 327 and the second end plate 328. When the valve body 32 is in the first position, the first conductive chamber 321 connects at least two communication ports 301, thereby enabling the valve body 32 to realize conductivity of the flow path. Furthermore, in at least one of the first and second positions of the valve body 32, the first partition plate 325 is positioned to separate at least one communication port 301, so that no fluid is connected between that communication port and any other communication port within the range of the control valve 30. Furthermore, the first partition plate 325 realizes a "closing" function of that communication port. The valve body 32 has M communicating chambers arranged along the circumferential direction of the valve body 32, and each communicating chamber is arranged so as to communicate at least two communication ports 301, so that in any operating mode, the control valve 30 forms N flow paths and realizes the circulation function of different flow paths. Furthermore, by arranging the control valve 30 so that M>N in at least one operating mode, and arranging the control valve 30 so that M=N, it is possible to realize the conduction of all the communication ports. In contrast, in this embodiment, by arranging the number of communicating chambers M to be greater than the number of flow paths N formed in at least one operating mode, some communication ports 301 cannot be conducted through the communicating chambers, and the fluid between the communication port 301 and the other communication ports 301 is not conducted within the range of the control valve 30, thereby realizing the "closing" function of the communication port. In contrast, the communication ports are closed by arranging individual separating parts on the valve body. In contrast, the control valve 30 of this embodiment closes the communication ports 301 by multiplexing at least some of the wall parts of the first communicating chamber 321, thereby simplifying the structure of the control valve 30 and making it easy to spread and apply.
[0040] Here, the above embodiments are not limiting of the present invention but are intended to explain the present invention. For example, reference may be made to the definitions of directions such as "front", "back", "left", "right", "upper", and "lower". Although the present invention has already been described in detail in this specification with reference to the above embodiments, amendments, combinations or equivalent replacements may be made to this application, and any improvements that do not deviate from the spirit and scope of the present invention fall within the scope of the claims of this application.
