To predict compatibility between different kinds of polymers by a simple method.SOLUTION: A compatibility prediction method 1 predicts compatibility between a first polymer and a second polymer different in kind from the first polymer by using a computer. The compatibility prediction method 1 includes an interface model creation step 4 of arranging a first model that is a model of a first polymer and a second model that is a model of a second polymer to create an interface model of the first polymer and the second polymer extending in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction, an interface relaxation step 5 of relaxing the interface model, and a prediction step 6 of defining a region where both the first model and the second model are present along a Z-axis direction as a diffusion layer and predicting compatibility based on a thickness of the diffusion layer or a change rate of the thickness of the diffusion layer in the interface relaxation step 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
