[Solution] The lighting system 100 comprises a first power supply unit 1 and a plurality of second power supply units 21 connected to each other via a power line PL1. The first power supply unit 1 has a first conversion unit 12 and a first control unit 13 that controls the first conversion unit 12. The first conversion unit 12 converts the AC voltage supplied from an external power supply PS1 into a first DC voltage. Each of the plurality of second power supply units 21 has a second conversion unit 211 and a second control unit 212 that controls the second conversion unit 211. The second conversion unit 211 converts the first DC voltage supplied from the first conversion unit 12 via the power line PL1 into a second DC voltage and supplies the second DC voltage to the light source 221.
