Abstract
A sludge scraper assembly is provided for installation in a tank of a chain-and-flight system for wastewater treatment, the tank having a tank span width. The sludge scraper assembly includes a sludge scraper having a scraper length and scraper height, a mounting link removablely attachable to the sludge scraper and configured for connection to a collector chain, a return wear shoe removablely attachable to the sludge scraper, and a feed wear shoe removablely attachable to the sludge scraper. The sludge scraper is constructed of a polymer material such as fiber-reinforced plastic. The sludge scraper is configured for adjustment to accommodate the sludge scraper within the tank span width by cutting the scraper length to the working scraper length at the field site. The sludge scraper system may also include wall brackets, a head shaft, a stub shaft, and associated components.
