Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a scroll machining machine and a method for machining a scroll-shaped workpiece. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, as in Patent Document 1, a method for machining a scroll-shaped workpiece is known in which a central portion including the boundary point between the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface of the scroll-shaped wall is formed into a shape including a shape other than an involute curve, and a portion excluding this central portion and the outer end of the scroll-shaped wall is made into an involute curve portion, and the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface in this involute curve portion are formed into an involute curve shape with the same circle as the base circle.

[0003] Also, as shown in Patent Document 2, a scroll-shaped processing device is known that includes a turning device that turns and moves a plurality of independent work table devices that detachably support a plurality of scroll-shaped workpieces having spiral wraps standing upright on a head plate, a plurality of tool tables equipped with tool spindles that rotatably support processing tools, and a main body bed that mounts the turning device and the plurality of tool tables. In this processing device, at least one of the plurality of tool tables is configured to simultaneously roughly process the scroll wraps of a plurality of workpieces on the work table device in a state where the workpieces are clamped facing the tool table, by a tool spindle to which at least two processing tools are attached. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 3029228 [Patent Document 2] Patent No. 3833386 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] In scroll processing machines such as those described in Patent Document 1, each machine processes a single workpiece, and only 15 to 60 pieces can be produced per hour, which poses a problem in terms of mass production. In addition, because high-precision production equipment requires expensive dedicated machines, there is a problem in that the production cost per piece is high.

[0006] In the machining device of Patent Document 2, the spindles of multiple tools are attached to one tool table, and multiple workpieces are attached to one work table device, and the multiple tools and multiple workpieces cannot move independently, so it is not possible to accommodate tool attachment errors, spindle elongation errors, tool diameter errors, etc.

[0007] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to double the production volume of scroll-shaped workpieces while maintaining precision, without a significant increase in cost. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is adapted to simultaneously machine two scroll-shaped workpieces using a single machine while synchronizing a tool and a workpiece that can be driven independently.

[0009] Specifically, in the first invention, A bed and an X1-axis table that is movable along the X1-axis by an X1-axis actuator on the bed; an X2-axis table that is movable on the bed along an X2-axis parallel to the X1-axis by an X2-axis actuator; a Z1-axis table that is movable on the X1-axis table along a Z1-axis perpendicular to the X1-axis by a Z1-axis actuator; a Z2-axis table that is movable on the X2-axis table along a Z2-axis perpendicular to the X2-axis by a Z2-axis actuator; a rotatable S1 axis provided on the Z1 axis table, extending along the Z1 axis, and to which a first tool is attached; a rotatable S2 axis provided on the Z2 axis table, extending along the Z2 axis, and to which a second tool is attached; A first column provided at a position opposite to the X1-axis table; A second column provided at a position opposite to the X2-axis table; a Y1-axis table provided on the first column and movable along a Y1-axis perpendicular to the X1-axis and the Z1-axis by a Y1-axis actuator; a Y2-axis table provided on the second column and movable along a Y2-axis perpendicular to the X2-axis and the Z2-axis by a Y2-axis actuator; a C1 axis provided on the Y1 axis table, extending parallel to the S1 axis, and a first workpiece mounted thereon so as to be rotatable by a C1 axis motor; A C2 axis is provided on the Y2 axis table, extends parallel to the S2 axis, and a second workpiece is attached to the C2 axis so as to be rotatable by a C2 axis motor; The scroll machine is provided with a control device that performs scroll machining of the first workpiece by synchronizing the X1-axis actuator, the Y1-axis actuator, and the C1-axis motor, and also performs scroll machining of the second workpiece so that it is identical to the first workpiece by synchronizing the X2-axis actuator, the Y2-axis actuator, and the C2-axis motor in accordance with the movements of the X1-axis actuator, the Y1-axis actuator, and the C1-axis motor.

[0010] According to the above configuration, a pair of processing devices can be arranged side by side, which saves space and makes control easy. Therefore, it is possible to perform high-precision scroll processing of two scroll-shaped workpieces simultaneously using a program for processing conventional scroll-shaped workpieces. Moreover, by synchronizing the two, the vibration during processing occurs at the same place, allowing for even higher-precision scroll processing.

[0011] In the second invention, in the first invention, The control device is configured to remove and replace the second tool of the S2 axis while removing and replacing the first workpiece fixed to the C1 axis, and to remove and replace the first tool of the S1 axis while removing and replacing the second workpiece fixed to the C2 axis.

[0012] According to the above configuration, by simultaneously replacing the first tool and first workpiece, and the second tool and second workpiece with shifted timing, the tool replacement time is reduced and high productivity can be ensured.

[0013] In a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, The control device is configured to adjust the mounting error of the first tool relative to the S1 axis and the extension error of the first spindle to which the first tool is fixed by correcting the Z1 axis using the Z1 axis actuator, and to adjust the mounting error of the second tool relative to the S2 axis and the extension error of the second spindle to which the second tool is fixed by correcting the Z2 axis using the Z2 axis actuator.

[0014] According to the above configuration, the mounting error of the first tool and the second tool and the elongation error of the spindle can be adjusted independently in the Z1 axis direction or the Z2 axis direction, so that scroll-shaped workpieces can be produced with even higher accuracy.

[0015] In a fourth aspect of the present invention, in any one of the first to third aspects of the present invention, The control device is configured to adjust an error in the outer diameter of the first tool by correcting the X1 axis using the X1-axis actuator, and to adjust an error in the outer diameter of the second tool by correcting the X2 axis using the X2-axis actuator.

[0016] According to the above configuration, even if the outer diameters of the first tool and the second tool differ significantly due to re-sharpening or the like, the X1 axis and the X2 axis can be adjusted independently, thereby enabling scroll machining with even higher precision.

[0017] A method for machining a scroll-shaped workpiece according to a fifth aspect of the present invention comprises: A bed and an X1-axis table that is movable along the X1-axis by an X1-axis actuator on the bed; an X2-axis table that is movable on the bed along an X2-axis parallel to the X1-axis by an X2-axis actuator; a Z1-axis table that is movable on the X1-axis table along a Z1-axis perpendicular to the X1-axis; a Z2-axis table that is movable on the X2-axis table along a Z2-axis perpendicular to the X2-axis; a rotatable S1 axis provided on the Z1 axis table, extending along the Z1 axis, and to which a first tool is attached; a rotatable S2 axis provided on the Z2 axis table, extending along the Z2 axis, and to which a second tool is attached; A first column provided at a position opposite to the X1-axis table; A second column provided at a position opposite to the X2-axis table; a Y1-axis table provided on the first column and movable along a Y1-axis perpendicular to the X1-axis and the Z1-axis by a Y1-axis actuator; a Y2-axis table provided on the second column and movable along a Y2-axis perpendicular to the X2-axis and the Z2-axis by a Y2-axis actuator; a C1 axis provided on the Y1 axis table, extending parallel to the S1 axis, and a first workpiece mounted thereon so as to be rotatable by a C1 axis motor; A scroll machining machine is provided with a C2 axis provided on the Y2 axis table, extending parallel to the S2 axis, and a second workpiece is rotatably attached to the C2 axis motor; The X1-axis actuator, the Y1-axis actuator and the C1-axis motor are synchronized to perform scroll machining of the first workpiece, and the X2-axis actuator, the Y2-axis actuator and the C2-axis motor are synchronized in accordance with the movements of the X1-axis actuator, the Y1-axis actuator and the C1-axis motor to perform scroll machining of the second workpiece so that it is identical to the first workpiece.

[0018] According to the above configuration, a pair of processing devices can be arranged side by side, which saves space and makes control easy. In addition, a program for machining a conventional scroll-shaped workpiece can be used to simultaneously perform high-precision scroll machining of two scroll-shaped workpieces. Moreover, by synchronizing the two, the vibration during machining occurs at the same location, allowing for even higher-precision scroll machining. Effect of the Invention

[0019] As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to double the production volume of scroll-shaped workpieces while maintaining precision, without a significant increase in cost. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0021] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0022] FIG. 1 shows a scroll processing machine 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. This scroll processing machine 1 is, for example, a cutting machine, and has a bed 2 that is placed on a mounting surface in a factory or the like. The scroll processing machine 1 may be another mechanical processing machine such as a grinding machine. The scroll processing machine 1 has a controller 40 as a control unit that controls the entire scroll processing machine 1. This controller 40 is, for example, composed of a microcomputer.

[0023] The scroll processing machine 1 is provided with a gantry loader 20 for exchanging a plurality of workpieces 30 above the bed 2. The gantry loader 20 is provided with, for example, four vertical support columns 21 and two horizontal running rails 22, and one horizontal rail 23 is provided for horizontal movement on these two running rails 22. A lifting member 24 is provided on this horizontal rail 23 so as to be movable up and down. Although not shown, the actuator for moving the horizontal rail 23 and the lifting member 24 is not particularly limited and is composed of, for example, an air cylinder, an electric motor, a hydraulic cylinder, etc. With this configuration, the lifting member 24 is movable within a predetermined range on the bed 2. The loader is composed of these support columns 21, the running rails 22, the horizontal rail 23, the lifting member 24, and the actuator for driving them.

[0024] The lifting member 24 is provided with, for example, a rotatable rotary table 25, and this rotary table 25 is provided with a plurality of hand chucks 26.

[0025] A work stocker 27 on which unmachined and machined workpieces are placed is provided on the side of the bed 2. The work stocker 27 may be in the form of a conveyor through which the workpieces 30 are carried in and out.

[0026] The first tool 5a and the second tool 5b can be automatically replaced from the tool stocker 28 under the control of the controller 40.

[0027] 1, a Y1-axis column 6a and a Y2-axis column 6b extending in the vertical direction are provided side by side on a bed 2 of a scroll processing machine 1. A Y1-axis table 7a is mounted so as to be able to rise and fall along the Y1-axis column 6a, i.e., to be movable along the Y1-axis direction which is the vertical direction, and a Y2-axis table 7b is mounted so as to be able to rise and fall along the Y2-axis column 6b, i.e., to be movable along the Y2-axis direction which is the vertical direction.

[0028] The Y1-axis table 7a and the Y2-axis table 7b are each equipped with a work chuck 9a, 9b for detachably holding a scroll-shaped workpiece 30, and are independently driven to rise and fall by ball screw mechanisms provided in the Y1-axis column 6a, Y2-axis column 6b, respectively, and a Y1-axis motor 6c (Y1-axis actuator) and a Y2-axis motor 6d (Y2-axis actuator) shown only in Figure 3.

[0029] The first work chuck 9a is rotatable around the C1 axis, which is the first main shaft, by a C1 axis motor 9c, and the second work chuck 9b is rotatable around the C2 axis, which is the second main shaft, by a C2 axis motor 9d.

[0030] An X-axis rail 3e extending in the X1-axis and X2-axis directions perpendicular to the C1-axis and C2-axis is installed on the bed 2, and an X1-axis table 3a and an X2-axis table 3b are mounted slidably along the X-axis rail 3e. As shown in Fig. 3, the X1-axis table 3a and the X2-axis table 3b are independently driven to slide in the X1-axis direction by an X1-axis motor 3c as an X1-axis actuator and in the X2-axis direction by an X2-axis motor 3d as an X2-axis actuator.

[0031] A rail 4c extending in the Z1-axis direction parallel to the C1-axis is provided on the X1-axis table 3a, and a rail 4d extending in the Z2-axis direction parallel to the C2-axis is provided on the X2-axis table 3b, and the Z1-axis table 4a and the Z2-axis table 4b are mounted so as to be slidable along these rails 4c and 4d, respectively. The Z1-axis table 4a is slidably driven in the Z1-axis direction by a Z1-axis motor 4g serving as a Z1-axis actuator shown in Fig. 3, and the Z2-axis table 4b is slidably driven in the Z2-axis direction by a Z2-axis motor 4h serving as a Z2-axis actuator shown in Fig. 3, independently of each other.

[0032] A first tool 5a is rotatably supported on the X1-axis table 3a so as to be rotatable around an S1-axis parallel to the Z1-axis. A second tool 5b is rotatably supported on the X2-axis table 3b so as to be rotatable around an S2-axis parallel to the Z2-axis. The S1-axis is rotated independently by an S1-axis motor 4e, and the S2-axis is rotated independently by an S2-axis motor 4f.

[0033] In FIG. 1 and the like, the workpiece 30 is depicted as a cylinder, but in reality, as shown enlarged in FIG. 2, a scroll-shaped wall 32 is provided protruding forward from the front surface (the front surface in FIG. 2) of the workpiece 30. The scroll-shaped wall 32 is composed of a center portion 34 and an involute curve portion 35. The center portion 34 is formed in a predetermined area sandwiching the boundary point between the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface of the scroll-shaped wall 32, and is formed in a shape other than an involute curve, such as a circular arc or a straight line. The involute curve portion 35 has an outer wall surface 35A and an inner wall surface 35B sandwiching the center portion 34, and both wall surfaces 35A, 35B are formed in an involute curve shape with the same circle as the base circle. Therefore, the X1-axis and X2-axis directions and the Y1-axis and Y2-axis directions are all set in a direction that coincides with the radial direction of the base circle.

[0034] The scroll processing machine 1 includes a controller (control unit) 40 as shown in Fig. 3. The controller 40 operates the Z1-axis motor 4g according to an NC program based on a processing method for a scroll-shaped workpiece as described in Patent Document 1, thereby positioning the first tool relative to one workpiece 30 (first workpiece), and controls the operation of the X1-axis motor 3c, the Y1-axis motor 6c, and the C1-axis motor 9c to perform wall surface processing of the scroll-shaped wall 32 in the workpiece 30. The controller 40 also operates the Z2-axis motor 4h in synchronization with the NC program, thereby positioning the second tool relative to the other workpiece 30 (second workpiece), and controls the operation of the X2-axis motor 3d, the Y2-axis motor 6d, and the C2-axis motor 9d to perform wall surface processing of the scroll-shaped wall 32 in the workpiece 30. The controller 40 includes a data reading unit 42, an interpolation data calculation unit 44, and a pulse distribution unit 46 as functions involved in this processing control.

[0035] The data reading unit 42 reads and stores NC data (such as the machining shape and feed speed of the scroll-shaped wall 32) input from the outside. The interpolation data calculation unit 44 calculates and outputs interpolation data (described in detail later) for machining the scroll-shaped wall 32 based on the data read by the data reading unit 42. The pulse distribution unit 46 distributes pulses from the interpolation data to the motors of each of the X1-axis, X2-axis, Y1-axis, Y2-axis, C1-axis, C2-axis, Z1-axis, Z2-axis, S1-axis, and S2-axis, and outputs the pulses to each of the motors of each axis.

[0036] -Scroll wall processing method- Next, a method for machining the scroll wall 32 performed by this apparatus will be described.

[0037] First, as shown in FIG. 4(a), the centers of the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b are shifted in the negative direction (downward) by the base circle radius ro relative to the center of the base circle BC of the involute curve along the Y1-axis and Y2-axis directions, respectively, and the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b are brought into contact with the radially outer portion of the inner wall surface 35B of the involute curve portion 35 from the right side to the left side of the figure at the Y1-axis and Y2-axis positions. At this time, it is also possible to bring the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b into contact with a predetermined position while machining the outermost end of the scroll-shaped wall by the movement of the X1-axis and C1-axis and the X2-axis and C2-axis. In this state, the normal directions of the inner wall surface 35B at the contact points between the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b and the inner wall surface 35B coincide with the X1-axis and X2-axis directions, respectively.

[0038] Next, from this state, without changing the relative position of the first tool 5a in the Y1-axis direction and the relative position of the second tool 5b in the Y2-axis direction (i.e., without operating the Y1-axis motor 6c and the Y2-axis motor 6d), the workpiece 30 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction in the figure around the center of the base circle BC (around the C1-axis and the C2-axis), and one workpiece 30 and the first tool 5a and the other workpiece 30 and the second tool 5b are relatively moved in the X1-axis and the X2-axis directions by the amount of the radius reduction of the inner wall surface 35B caused by this rotation. By such an operation, as shown in Figures 4(b) and 4(c), while keeping the normal direction of the wall surface 35B at the contact point between the first tool 5a and the inner wall surface 35B in the X1-axis direction and keeping the normal direction of the wall surface 35B at the contact point between the second tool 5b and the inner wall surface 35B in the X2-axis direction, the inner wall surface 35B is machined from its radially outer portion to its radially inner portion.

[0039] As this machining progresses, the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b approach the central part 34 from the involute curved inner wall surface 35B as shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, and in the region where the central part 34 is machined as shown in Fig. 5(a), the first tool 5a and the one workpiece 30 are moved relatively in the Y1 axis direction in addition to the relative movement in the X1 axis direction and the rotation around the C1 axis as shown in Fig. 8 to Fig. 11, so that the normal direction of the wall surface of the central part 34 at the contact point between them is always kept in the X1 axis direction. Also, in addition to the relative movement in the X2 axis direction and the rotation around the C2 axis, the second tool 5b and the other workpiece 30 are moved relatively in the Y2 axis direction as well, so that the normal direction of the wall surface of the central part 34 at the contact point between them is always kept in the X2 axis direction.

[0040] When the machining of the central portion 34 is carried out in this manner, at the time of reaching the end point of the central portion 34, the first tool 5a and the second tool 5b are automatically positioned at positions shifted by the base circle radius ro in the Y1-axis and Y2-axis directions opposite to the above (i.e., in the positive direction) with respect to the center of the base circle, as shown in Fig. 12. From this state, as shown in Figs. 4(a) to (c), the first tool 5a and the workpiece 30 are moved relatively only in the X1-axis direction while continuing to rotate the workpiece 30 around the C1-axis without performing a relative movement in the Y1-axis direction, and the second tool 5b and the workpiece 30 are moved relatively only in the X2-axis direction while continuing to rotate the workpiece 30 around the C2-axis without performing a relative movement in the Y2-axis direction, thereby continuously machining the outer wall surface 35A of the involute curve portion 35 from its radially inner portion to its radially outer portion, as shown in Figs. 13, 14, and further Figs. 5(b) and (c).

[0041] In other words, this method enables continuous machining from the involute curved inner wall surface 35B through the center 34 to the involute curved outer wall surface 35A by contacting the first tool 5a with the machining point from the same side throughout and rotating one workpiece 30 while keeping the normal direction of the wall surface at this contact point always in the X1-axis direction, and by contacting the second tool 5b and rotating the other workpiece 30 while keeping the normal direction of the wall surface at this contact point always in the X2-axis direction, regardless of the machining point on the scroll-shaped wall 32.

[0042] Although not shown in detail, in recent years, in order to reduce the size of the scroll-shaped workpiece 30, an algebraic spiral has come to be used instead of the conventional involute curve. The machining principle is the same as that of the involute curve, and the curve can be machined by moving in the Y direction to match the gradually changing base circle radius while machining.

[0043] -Scroll processing machine operation- Next, the overall operation of the scroll machining machine 1 according to this embodiment will be described.

[0044] 15(a), the lifting direction of the lifting member 24 is the V-axis direction, the movement direction on the horizontal rail 23 is the U-axis direction, and the movement direction along the traveling rail 22 is the W-axis direction.
