Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an engine. [Background technology]

[0002] When marine engine parts are cooled using seawater, the cooling pipes through which the seawater flows may corrode. Therefore, techniques for preventing corrosion of the cooling pipes have been studied. For example, Patent Document 1 describes disposing anticorrosive zinc inside an intercooler. Patent Document 2 describes forming an anticorrosive coating on the inside of the cooling pipes. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Jpn. Jpn. Published No. 60-30420 [Patent Document 2] JP 2019-90362 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] Anticorrosive zinc and anticorrosive coatings deteriorate over long periods of use, and therefore need to be replaced periodically. However, because bolt-type anticorrosive zinc has a small surface area, it wears down quickly and needs to be replaced frequently. To reduce the frequency of replacement, it is possible to use large anticorrosive zinc, but this requires the diameter of the piping to be increased, which increases the cost of parts and makes it more difficult to arrange them. On the other hand, when using cooling piping with an anticorrosive coating, there is also the problem that the replacement work is more extensive than with anticorrosive zinc.

[0005] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVETION The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an engine that can reduce the burden of maintenance for preventing corrosion of piping. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In order to solve the above problems, an engine according to the present invention includes a sacrificial anti-corrosion coated piping that has been subjected to a sacrificial anti-corrosion coating treatment, and a metal piping that is connected to at least one of both ends of the sacrificial anti-corrosion coated piping.

[0007] The engine may include a flow path component connected to one of the two ends of the metal piping to which the sacrificial anticorrosive coating piping is not connected, and a sacrificial anticorrosive material provided on the flow path component.

[0008] The sacrificial anticorrosive coating piping, the metal piping, and the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material may be connected in the following order: the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material, the metal piping, the sacrificial anticorrosive coating piping, the metal piping, and the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material.

[0009] The plurality of metal pipes may have the same shape.

[0010] The sacrificial anticorrosive coating pipe may be connected to the metal pipe via a connecting pipe, and the connecting pipe may be slidable along the longitudinal direction of the metal pipe or the sacrificial anticorrosive coating pipe.

[0011] The sacrificial anticorrosive coating treatment may be a zinc plating treatment, and the metal pipe may be made of iron.

[0012] The engine includes a flow path component connected to one of both ends of the metal piping to which the sacrificial anticorrosive coating piping is not connected, and a sacrificial anticorrosive material provided on the flow path component, and the sacrificial anticorrosive material may be formed using zinc or iron. Effect of the Invention

[0013] According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the burden of maintenance for preventing corrosion of piping. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Hereinafter, an engine 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0016] First, the overall configuration of the engine 100 will be described. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the engine 100. In each drawing, U, Lo, L, R, Fr, and Rr indicate up, down, left, right, front, and rear, respectively. In this embodiment, an example in which a cylinder head 1 is provided above a cylinder block 2 is shown, but the engine 100 may be used in any position. In addition, in this embodiment, an in-line six-cylinder diesel engine is shown as an example of an application of the present invention, but the present invention is suitable for all registered and pro-engines having multiple cylinders.

[0017] The engine 100 includes a cylinder head 1, a cylinder block 2, and an oil pan 5. The cylinder head 1 includes six parts (not shown) including an intake passage, an exhaust passage, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, and an injector, which are arranged in series along the front-rear direction. The cylinder block 2 includes a cylinder row 3 in which six cylinders (not shown), each housing a piston and a connecting rod, are arranged in series along the front-rear direction, and a crankcase 4 that houses a crankshaft (not shown). The oil pan 5 stores lubricating oil.

[0018] Next, the intake and exhaust paths will be described. Figures 2 and 3 are perspective views showing the intake and exhaust paths. The intake and exhaust paths include a turbocharger 11, an intercooler 12, an intake manifold 13, the cylinder head 1, and an exhaust manifold 14.

[0019] The turbocharger 11 includes a turbine 11T and a compressor 11C. The compressor 11C is connected to the intercooler 12. The intake manifold 13 includes a main body 13B, an intake air inlet 13i, and six intake air passages 13E. The intake air inlet 13i is connected to the intercooler 12. The six intake air passages 13E are connected to an intake air passage (not shown) of the cylinder head 1. The exhaust manifold 14 includes a collector 14C, six exhaust intakes 14i, and an exhaust discharge port 14E. The six exhaust intakes 14i are connected to an exhaust passage (not shown) of the cylinder head 1. The exhaust discharge port 14E is connected to the turbine 11T.

[0020] Exhaust air from the cylinders is supplied to a turbine 11T via the exhaust passage of the cylinder head 1 and an exhaust manifold 14. The turbine 11T rotates by the exhaust energy. The compressor 11C takes in air and compresses it by rotating together with the turbine 11T. The compressed air is sent to an intercooler 12. The intercooler 12 cools the compressed air and sends it to an intake manifold 13. The intake manifold 13 functions as a surge tank that equalizes the density, intake volume, and airflow of the compressed air supplied to each cylinder, and supplies the compressed air to the intake passage of the cylinder head 1 via an intake passage 13E.

[0021] Next, an overview of the cooling piping 18 will be described. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the cooling piping 18. A water supply pipe 16 equipped with a pump 17 is connected to the intercooler 12. The intercooler 12 cools the supply air using seawater sucked up by the pump 17. A fresh water cooler 15 is connected to the intercooler 12 via the cooling piping 18. The seawater used to cool the supply air in the intercooler 12 is supplied to the fresh water cooler 15 through the cooling piping 18. The fresh water cooler 15 cools the coolant circulating in a water jacket (not shown) provided on the engine 100 by using the seawater supplied from the intercooler 12. The seawater used to cool the coolant in the fresh water cooler 15 is used to cool lubricating oil in an oil cooler (not shown) and then discharged overboard.

[0022] Next, the cooling pipe 18 will be described in detail. Fig. 5 is a perspective view showing the intercooler side cover 21. Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing the fresh water cooler side cover 25. Fig. 7 is a perspective view showing the main part of the cooling pipe 18. Fig. 8 is an exploded view showing the main part of the cooling pipe 18. Fig. 9 is a side view showing the main part of the cooling pipe 18. Note that in Fig. 7, the connecting pipe 23 and the metal pipe 22 are provided before and after the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, but in Fig. 8, only the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 and the connecting pipe 23 and the metal pipe 22 in front of it are shown.

[0023] The engine 100 includes a sacrificially coated pipe 24 that has been subjected to a sacrificial coating treatment, and a metal pipe 22 that is connected to at least one of both ends of the sacrificially coated pipe 24 .

[0024] The intercooler 12 (see FIGS. 4 and 5) includes an intercooler housing 20 and an intercooler-side cover 21 (an example of a flow path component) that closes an opening (not shown) provided on the left side of the intercooler housing 20.

[0025] The intercooler housing 20 has an air intake 20i and an air discharge port 20E. The air intake 20i is provided in the right part of the bottom of the intercooler housing 20. The air discharge port 20E is provided in a part to the left of the center in the left-right direction of the intercooler housing 20. The air discharge port 20E opens upward and forward.

[0026] The intercooler side cover 21 is generally circular and recessed to the left. The space inside the intercooler side cover 21 is divided by a partition wall 21W into a first sub-chamber 211 at the bottom and a second sub-chamber 212 at the top. The first sub-chamber 211 is provided with a liquid inlet 21i penetrating in the left-right direction. The water supply pipe 16 is connected to the liquid inlet 21i. The second sub-chamber 212 is provided with a liquid outlet 21E penetrating in the front-rear direction. The rear end of the cooling pipe 18 is connected to the liquid outlet 21E. The first sub-chamber 211 and the second sub-chamber 212 are provided with an insertion port (not shown) penetrating from the inside to the outside. The insertion port is formed with a female thread. A bolt-shaped sacrificial protective material 30 with a male thread is attached to the insertion port. The sacrificial protective material 30 protrudes from the inner surface of the first sub-chamber 211 and the second sub-chamber 212. The sacrificial protective material 30 is made of zinc or iron. The zinc used is made primarily from high-purity zinc bullion with a purity of 99.99% or more, while the iron used is pure iron with a purity of 99.90% or more.

[0027] The fresh water cooler 15 (see Figs. 4 and 6) comprises a fresh water cooler housing 26 and a fresh water cooler side lid 25 (an example of a flow path component) that closes an opening (not shown) provided at the left end of the fresh water cooler housing 26. The fresh water cooler side lid 25 is roughly circular and recessed to the left. The internal space of the fresh water cooler side lid 25 is divided by a partition wall 25W into an upper first sub-chamber 251 and a lower second sub-chamber 252. The first sub-chamber 251 is provided with a liquid intake port 25i penetrating in the front-rear direction. The front end of the cooling pipe 18 is connected to the liquid intake port 25i. The first sub-chamber 251 and the second sub-chamber 252 are provided with an inlet (not shown) penetrating from inside to outside. The inlet port is formed with a female screw. The above-mentioned sacrificial protective material 30 is attached to the inlet port. The sacrificial protective material 30 protrudes from the inner surfaces of the first sub-chamber 251 and the second sub-chamber 252 .

[0028] The cooling piping 18 (see Figs. 4, 7 to 9) includes a metal piping 22 and a sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24. Seawater flows from the intercooler 12 to the fresh water cooler 15 through the cooling piping 18. The metal piping 22, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24, the intercooler side lid 21, and the fresh water cooler side lid 25 are arranged in the following order from the rear: intercooler side lid 21, metal piping 22, sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24, metal piping 22, and fresh water cooler side lid 25.

[0029] The metal pipe 22 is made of iron. No sacrificial anticorrosive coating is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the metal pipe 22. The metal pipes 22 before and after the sacrificial anticorrosive coating pipe 24 have the same shape. Specifically, at least the shapes of both ends of the pipe and the pipe length are common and are configured to be mutually interchangeable as cooling water pipes. Even if the shapes and arrangements of the bosses formed on the pipe surface are different, they are included in the same shape as long as they are mutually interchangeable as cooling water pipes. The metal pipe 22 includes a pipe portion 22P, a flange 22F provided at one end of the pipe portion 22P in the front-rear direction, and a sleeve 22S provided at the other end of the pipe portion 22P. The inner diameter of the sleeve 22S is larger than the inner diameter of the pipe portion 22P. On the intercooler 12 side, the flange 22F is fastened to the liquid discharge port 21E of the intercooler side cover 21 by using a bolt (both not shown) via a gasket or an O-ring. On the fresh water cooler 15 side, the flange 22F is fastened to the liquid intake 25i of the fresh water cooler side lid 25 by means of a gasket or an O-ring and bolts (neither of which are shown).

[0030] A bolt insertion portion 22A is provided near the end of the tube portion 22P of the metal piping 22 on the sleeve 22S side (see Figs. 7 and 8). The bolt insertion portion 22A is a portion that bulges upward and downward from the outer circumferential surface of the tube portion 22P. A bolt hole penetrating in the left-right direction is provided in the bolt insertion portion 22A. A female thread is provided in the left side surface of the main body portion 13B of the intake manifold 13 at a position corresponding to the bolt hole of the bolt insertion portion 22A (not shown). The metal piping 22 is fixed to the intake manifold 13 by fastening it to the intake manifold 13 with a bolt (see Fig. 2).

[0031] The sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is made of iron. The sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 includes a pipe section 24P and flanges 24F provided at both ends of the pipe section 24P. The inner surface of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is subjected to a zinc plating process such as hot-dip galvanizing or electrolytic galvanizing. The zinc used is made mainly from high-purity zinc bullion with a purity of 99.99% or more.

[0032] The metal pipe 22 and the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 are connected by using the connecting pipe 23. The connecting pipe 23 includes a pipe section 23P and a flange 23F provided at one end of the pipe section 23P in the front-rear direction. A groove 23G is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the other end side of the pipe section 23P along the circumferential direction into which an O-ring 23R (see FIG. 9) fits. When the other end of the connecting pipe 23 is inserted into the sleeve 22S of the metal pipe 22, the O-ring 23R is pressed against the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve 22S to prevent leakage of seawater. The connecting pipe 23 is slidable in the front-rear direction along the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve 22S. The flange 23F of the connecting pipe 23 is fastened to the flange 24F of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 by using a bolt (both not shown) via a gasket or an O-ring.

[0033] The sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is fixed to the air intake manifold 13 by the fixing member 24M (see Figs. 2 and 7). The fixing member 24M is, for example, a metal band. In this example, the fixing member 24M is composed of two bands connected by bolts and nuts, but the fixing member 24M may be composed of one band. The fixing member 24M is wrapped around the tube portion 24P of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. Both ends in the longitudinal direction of the fixing member 24M are bent so as to follow the left side surface of the main body portion 13B of the air intake manifold 13, and have bolt holes penetrating in the left-right direction. A female thread is provided on the left side surface of the main body portion 13B of the air intake manifold 13 at a position corresponding to the bolt hole of the fixing member 24M (not shown). The sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is fixed to the air intake manifold 13 by fastening the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 to the air intake manifold 13 using a bolt.

[0034] Seawater that flows from the water supply pipe 16 into the first subchamber 211 through the liquid intake 21i of the intercooler side lid 21 cools the compressed air while flowing along a flow path (not shown) in the intercooler housing 20, and then flows from the second subchamber 212 through the liquid discharge port 21E into the cooling piping 18. Seawater that flows from the cooling piping 18 into the first subchamber 251 through the liquid intake 25i of the fresh water cooler side lid 25 passes over the bulkhead 25W and flows into the second subchamber 252, cools the coolant while flowing along a flow path (not shown) in the fresh water cooler 15, and is then discharged outside the ship through the liquid discharge port 26E and the oil cooler (not shown).

[0035] Next, a procedure for replacing the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24 will be described (see Figs. 9 to 11). Figs. 10 and 11 are side views showing the procedure for replacing the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24. Note that in Figs. 9 to 11, the bolt insertion portion 22A and the fixing member 24M are omitted from illustration.

[0036] 9 shows a state in which the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is connected to the metal pipe 22 via the connecting pipe 23. A flange 23F of the connecting pipe 23 is fastened to a flange 24F of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. An O-ring 23R contacts a portion of the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve 22S on the side of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24.

[0037] When replacing the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24, first, the fixing member 24M is removed, and then the bolts fastening the flange 24F of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24 to the flange 23F of the connecting piping 23 are removed.

[0038] Next, while holding the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, the connecting pipe 23 is slid toward the metal pipe 22 (see FIG. 10), and the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is removed (see FIG. 11). The O-ring 23R is in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve 22S at a portion on the tube portion 22P side. If a gasket or O-ring is fixed to the flange 23F of the connecting pipe 23, it is removed. Note that in this example, the front and rear connecting pipes 23 are slid toward the metal pipe 22, but only one of the connecting pipes 23 may be slid. Moreover, the fixing member 24M may be removed after the connecting pipe 23 is slid toward the metal pipe 22. In this case, the effort of holding the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 can be saved.

[0039] Next, the replacement sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is held between the front and rear connecting pipes 23 (see FIG. 10), and the front and rear connecting pipes 23 are slid toward the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. At this time, a gasket or an O-ring (both not shown) is sandwiched between the flange 23F of the connecting pipe 23 and the flange 24F of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. It is also desirable to adjust the position of the connecting pipe 23 so that the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is equidistant from the front and rear metal pipes 22. Finally, the flange 23F of the connecting pipe 23 and the F flange of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 are fastened with bolts, and the fixing member 24M is attached.

[0040] The engine 100 according to the present embodiment described above includes the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 that has been subjected to a sacrificial anticorrosive coating treatment, and the metal pipe 22 that is connected to at least one of the ends of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. With this configuration, the maintenance for corrosion protection of the pipes is completed by replacing only the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, and there is no need to replace the metal pipe 22. In addition, since the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 has a longer lasting corrosion protection effect than anticorrosive zinc, the frequency of replacement can be reduced. Therefore, the burden of maintenance for corrosion protection of the pipes can be reduced. In addition, since no space is required to install the anticorrosive zinc, the pipes can be made compact.

[0041] Moreover, the engine 100 according to this embodiment includes flow path components (intercooler side cover 21, fresh water cooler side cover 25) connected to the end of the metal pipe 22 on the side to which the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is not connected, and a sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 provided on the flow path components. With this configuration, the metal pipe 22 is sandwiched between the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 and the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30, thereby enhancing the anticorrosive effect. Therefore, the frequency of replacing the metal pipe 22 can be reduced.

[0042] Moreover, in the engine 100 according to this embodiment, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, the metal pipe 22, and the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 are connected in the following order: the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30, the metal pipe 22, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, the metal pipe 22, and the flow path component equipped with the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30. With this configuration, the anticorrosive effect of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 extends to both the upstream and downstream sides, so that the range over which the anticorrosive effect extends can be further expanded.

[0043] Furthermore, in the engine 100 according to this embodiment, the plurality of metal pipes 22 have the same shape, so that the cost of parts can be reduced.

[0044] Furthermore, according to the engine 100 of this embodiment, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is connected to the metal pipe 22 via the connecting pipe 23, and the connecting pipe 23 is slidable along the longitudinal direction of the metal pipe 22 or the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. Therefore, even if the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 and the metal pipe 22 form a linear flow path, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 can be replaced without removing the metal pipe 22.

[0045] Furthermore, according to the engine 100 of this embodiment, the sacrificial anticorrosive coating treatment is a zinc plating treatment, and the metal pipes 22 are formed using iron, so that corrosion protection can be achieved using low-cost materials.

[0046] Furthermore, the engine 100 according to this embodiment includes a flow path component connected to one of the two ends of the metal piping 22 to which the sacrificial anticorrosive coated piping 24 is not connected, and a sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 provided on the flow path component. The sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 is formed using zinc or iron, so that corrosion protection can be achieved using a low-cost material.

[0047] The above embodiment may be modified as follows.

[0048] In the above embodiment, seawater is shown as an example of the liquid flowing through the metal pipe 22, but the liquid may be fresh water, tap water, etc. For example, the present invention may be applied to a configuration in which a power generating engine 100 grounded on land is cooled using fresh water or tap water stored in a pit. The liquid may be any substance other than water as long as it contains a component that corrodes the metal pipe 22.

[0049] In the above embodiment, the intercooler 12, the fresh water cooler 15, and the oil cooler are shown as examples of devices connected to the cooling pipe 18, but the device connected to the cooling pipe 18 may be any device that cools engine parts using liquid.

[0050] In the above embodiment, an example has been shown in which the intercooler 12 is disposed behind the engine 100 and the fresh water cooler 15 is disposed in front of it, but the fresh water cooler 15 may be disposed behind the engine 100 and the intercooler 12 may be disposed in front of it. In addition, in the above embodiment, an example has been shown in which seawater is supplied from the intercooler 12 to the fresh water cooler 15, but seawater may be supplied from the fresh water cooler 15 to the intercooler 12.

[0051] In the above embodiment, an example has been shown in which the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, the metal pipe 22, and the flow path part are arranged in the following order from the rear side: flow path part, metal pipe 22, sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, metal pipe 22, and flow path part, but they may be arranged in the following order from the rear side: flow path part, metal pipe 22, sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, and flow path part. Also, they may be arranged in the following order from the rear side: flow path part, sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24, metal pipe 22, and flow path part. In short, it is sufficient that the metal pipe 22 is connected to at least one of the two ends of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24.

[0052] In the above embodiment, an example was shown in which the sacrificial anti-corrosive material 30 was provided in the flow path component, but the sacrificial anti-corrosive material 30 does not necessarily have to be provided in the flow path component.

[0053] In the above embodiment, an example was shown in which the plurality of metal pipes 22 have the same shape, but the plurality of metal pipes 22 may have different shapes.

[0054] In the above embodiment, an example has been shown in which the sacrificial anticorrosive coating is hot-dip galvanizing and the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 is zinc or iron, but the sacrificial anticorrosive coating and the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 may be made of any material that has a stronger ionization tendency than the metal pipe 22. For example, the sacrificial anticorrosive coating may be hot-dip aluminum plating. Also, the sacrificial anticorrosive material 30 may be formed using aluminum. Also, the metal pipe 22 may be stainless steel or the like.

[0055] Fig. 12 is a side view showing the cooling pipe 18 according to the modified example. Fig. 13 is a side view showing the cooling pipe 18 according to the modified example with the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 removed. In this example, the front and rear metal pipes 22 are arranged so that their axes intersect. The sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 is curved so as to smoothly connect the front and rear metal pipes 22. The metal pipe 22 has a flange 22F that is coupled to the flange 24F of the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24. With this configuration, even if the connecting pipe 23 is not provided, the sacrificial anticorrosive coated pipe 24 can be replaced without removing the metal pipe 22. [Explanation of symbols]
