Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an electrical junction box. [Background technology]

[0002] In an electrical junction box, electronic components such as relays that are interposed between an external power source and a load are housed in a housing. In this electrical junction box, electric wires electrically connected to the electronic components are routed inside the housing, and these electric wires are pulled out to the outside of the housing and electrically connected to the power source and the load. For example, this conventional electrical junction box is disclosed in Patent Document 1 below. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2014-93888 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In recent vehicles, the use of wires that are difficult to bend is increasing, for example, by changing the material of the core wire of the wire to reduce weight, or by increasing the diameter of the wire to accommodate large currents. For this reason, in an electric junction box, it is difficult to route the wires in a narrow space inside the housing, and there is a possibility that the wires may apply an overload to the surrounding area inside the housing. In an electric junction box, for example, the wires and the parts connected to the wires are arranged outside the housing, thereby preventing the overload caused by the wires inside the housing. On the other hand, in this electric junction box, it is necessary to electrically connect the parts outside the housing and the parts inside the housing with a conductive member. Therefore, in this electric junction box, an insertion passage (such as a notch or a through hole) must be provided in the housing to allow the conductive member to be arranged from inside to outside, and the next problem is how to prevent water from entering the housing through the insertion passage.

[0005] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT EMBODIMENTS An object of the present invention is to provide an electrical junction box that can ensure waterproofing while suppressing overloading inside a housing. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present invention relates to a frame having an electronic component, an internal conductive member for electrically connecting the electronic component to an external power source, a block for holding the electronic component and the internal conductive member, and a cylindrical portion having cylindrical walls with openings at both ends for housing and holding the block within a cylinder, the frame being installed with one of the openings in the cylindrical portion facing vertically upward, a first cover member fitted into a first opening peripheral portion on the peripheral edge of one of the openings in the cylindrical portion and closing the one of the openings in the cylindrical portion, and a second cover member fitted into a second opening peripheral portion on the peripheral edge of the other of the openings in the cylindrical portion and closing the one of the openings in the cylindrical portion. the circuit branching component is disposed outside the frame and outside the cylindrical portion, and is interposed between the external power supply and an external load, the internal conductive member having a first electrical connection portion and a second electrical connection portion that are physically and electrically connected to the electronic component within the cylindrical portion, the circuit branching component being disposed outside the frame and outside the cylindrical portion, and physically and electrically connecting a power supply side terminal fitting at an end of a power supply side electric wire electrically connected to the external power supply to the second electrical connection portion of the internal conductive member. the cylindrical wall of the cylindrical portion has a notch that connects the inside of the cylindrical portion to the outside of the cylindrical portion and that allows the second electrical connection portion of the internal conductive member to protrude outside the frame outside the cylindrical portion, the block has a protruding block portion that protrudes from the notch to the outside of the cylindrical portion and a notch closing portion that closes the notch, and the block has a protruding block portion that protrudes from the notch to the outside of the cylindrical portion outside the frame outside the cylindrical portion and is held by the protruding block portion and the power supply side electrical wire is connected to the external load. A power supply side electrical connection structure is provided which physically and electrically connects a power supply side terminal fitting of a terminal, the second electrical connection portion of the internal conductive member, and the power supply connection portion of the circuit branch component at a position protruding from an end face of the protruding block portion on the first opening peripheral portion side, and a gap formed between the peripheral portion on the first opening peripheral portion side of the notch in the cylindrical wall of the cylindrical portion and the end portion on the first opening peripheral portion side of the notch closing portion is provided on the second opening peripheral portion side of the end face of the protruding block portion in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion. Effect of the Invention

[0007] The electrical junction box of the present invention can suppress overloads within the housing caused by the electric wires connected to the circuit branching parts by arranging the circuit branching parts outside the frame outside the cylindrical part. In this electrical junction box, a gap exists on the second opening periphery side of the power source side electrical connection structure, so that water that bounces off the power source side electrical connection structure can be directed, for example, toward the outer wall surface of the cylindrical wall and can drop vertically downwards, without being directed toward the gap. Therefore, the electrical junction box of the present invention can ensure waterproofing while suppressing overloads within the housing. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0009] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of an electrical junction box according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment.

[0010] [Embodiment] One embodiment of an electrical junction box according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0011] Reference numeral 1 in Figures 1 to 7 indicates an electrical junction box of this embodiment. This electrical junction box 1 is mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile, and is interposed between an external power source B such as a secondary battery in the vehicle and an external load L such as a power distribution target (for example, auxiliary items to be powered), thereby supplying power from the external power source B to the external load L (Figure 1).

[0012] The electrical junction box 1 includes electronic components 10 such as relays and fuses (FIG. 2), and the electronic components 10 are interposed between an external power source B and an external load L. The electrical junction box 1 further includes a circuit branching component 20 (FIGS. 1 to 7) that is interposed between the external power source B and the external load L. The circuit branching component 20 is a component for distributing power from the external power source B to multiple external loads L. The electrical junction box 1 includes multiple electronic components 10, and also includes at least one circuit branching component 20.

[0013] The electrical connection box 1 includes a block 30 that holds an electronic component 10, and a frame 40 that has a cylindrical portion 41 that includes cylindrical walls 41c with openings at both ends (openings 41a, 41b) that accommodate and hold the block 30 (FIGS. 1 to 9). The electrical connection box 1 includes a cover member (hereinafter referred to as a "first cover member") 51 that fits into a peripheral portion (hereinafter referred to as a "first opening peripheral portion") 41d of the peripheral edge of one opening 41a in the cylindrical portion 41 and closes the one opening 41a of the cylindrical portion 41, and a cover member (hereinafter referred to as a "second cover member") 52 that fits into a peripheral portion (hereinafter referred to as a "second opening peripheral portion") 41e of the peripheral edge of the other opening 41b in the cylindrical portion 41 and closes the other opening 41b of the cylindrical portion 41 (FIGS. 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, and 10). The block 30, the frame 40, the first cover member 51 and the second cover member 52 are molded from an insulating material such as synthetic resin.

[0014] In this electrical connection box 1, a housing is formed by a frame 40, a first cover member 51, and a second cover member 52, and an electric wire (not shown) electrically connected to the electronic component 10 within this housing is routed through the housing and pulled out through an opening to the outside of the housing.

[0015] In the frame 40, the block 30 is inserted into the cylinder of the cylinder part 41 from the other opening 41b. When the frame 40 is composed of one cylinder part 41, all of the outer walls forming the outer frame are formed by the cylinder wall 41c of the cylinder part 41. When the frame 40 is composed of a combination of multiple cylinder parts 41 each having the opening direction of one opening 41a aligned with each other and the opening direction of the other opening 41b aligned with each other, the outer walls forming the outer frame are formed by a combination of some of the cylinder walls 41c of the multiple cylinder parts 41. In other words, all or a part of the outer walls forming the outer frame of the frame 40 are formed by the cylinder wall 41c of the cylinder part 41.

[0016] The frame 40 is installed with one opening 41a of the tubular portion 41 facing vertically upward. The frame 40 shown here is a combination of two tubular portions 41, and is mounted on the vehicle with one opening 41a facing upward on the vehicle. The first cover member 51 shown here is provided for each tubular portion 41. The second cover member 52 shown here is divided into a first split cover 52A and a second split cover 52B that are assembled together, and when the first split cover 52A and the second split cover 52B are assembled together, they close the other openings 41b of each of the two tubular portions 41 (FIGS. 1, 2, 7, and 9).

[0017] The electrical connection box 1 includes an internal conductive member 60 that electrically connects the electronic component 10 to an external power source B and is held in the block 30 together with the electronic component 10 (FIGS. 6 and 8). The internal conductive member 60 has a first electrical connection portion 61 that physically and electrically connects the electronic component 10 to the electronic component 10 inside the cylindrical portion 41 (FIG. 8). The first electrical connection portion 61 is provided for each electronic component 10. The internal conductive member 60 also has a second electrical connection portion 62 that electrically connects the electronic component 10 to the external power source B (FIGS. 6 and 8). In the internal conductive member 60, the first electrical connection portions 61 and the second electrical connection portions 62 are connected to each other by a connecting portion 63 (FIG. 8). The internal conductive member 60 has a shape in which the connecting portion 63 extends to the outside of the cylindrical portion 41 and the second electrical connection portion 62 is connected to the connecting portion 63 outside the frame 40 beyond the extending portion. In other words, the second electrical connection portion 62 is disposed outside the cylindrical portion 41 and outside the frame 40 .

[0018] The internal conductive member 60 is a so-called bus bar, and is formed into a plate shape using, for example, a metal plate as a base material. The block 30 has a block main body 31 that holds the electronic component 10 and the internal conductive member 60 inside the cylindrical portion 41 (FIGS. 1 and 4 to 9).

[0019] The circuit branching part 20 is disposed outside the frame 40 and outside the cylindrical portion 41. The circuit branching part 20 includes a conductive circuit branching member 21 that is interposed between an external power source B and an external load L (FIGS. 4, 6, 11, and 12).

[0020] Here, the circuit branch component 20 has at least a power source connection portion 22 and a load connection portion 23, which will be described later. The circuit branch component 20 has a coupling portion 25, which will be described later, that electrically connects the power source connection portion 22 and the plurality of load connection portions 23. However, in addition to the power source connection portion 22 and the load connection portion 23, the circuit branch component 20 shown here has a fusible portion 24, which will be described later, for cutting off an overcurrent between the external power source B and the external load L, and accordingly has a coupling portion 25, which will be described later. That is, here, as an example of the circuit branch component 20, a circuit protection component for cutting off an overcurrent between the external power source B and the external load L is given. Therefore, the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 shown here includes a conductive circuit protection member interposed between the external power source B and the external load L as a circuit branch member 21.

[0021] This circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 is arranged outside the frame 40 outside the cylindrical portion 41, and has a power supply connection portion 22 that physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting T at the end of the power supply side electric wire WB electrically connected to the external power supply B to the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60 (Figures 2 to 6, 11 and 12).

[0022] Moreover, the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 is disposed outside the frame 40 outside the cylindrical portion 41, and has a load connection portion 23 that electrically connects the load side electric wire WL electrically connected to the external load L, and a fusible portion 24 that is interposed between the power supply connection portion 22 and the load connection portion 23 and melts when an overcurrent flows (FIGS. 11 and 12). In this circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21, the load connection portion 23 and the fusible portion 24 are provided for each external load L. And, this circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 has a connecting portion 25 that connects the power supply connection portion 22 and the fusible portion 24 (FIG. 12). The connecting portion 25 connects the power supply connection portion 22 and the fusible portion 24 for each external load L.

[0023] This circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 is a so-called bus bar, and is formed into a plate shape using, for example, a metal plate as a base material. In this circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20, a resin part 26 is integrally formed with the circuit branching member (circuit protection component) 21 using a synthetic resin material with the power supply connection part 22, the load connection part 23, and the fusible part 24 exposed (FIGS. 6 and 11). In this circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20, a transparent resin cover 27 made of a synthetic resin material that covers and hides the exposed fusible part 24 is attached to the resin part 26 (FIGS. 6 and 11).

[0024] In this circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20, the power connection portion 22 is disposed closer to the first opening peripheral portion 41d than the load connection portion 23 in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41 (FIGS. 6 and 11).

[0025] The electrical connection box 1 includes a power supply side electrical connection structure 70 that physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the power supply side electric wire WB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 among one another (FIGS. 3 to 6 and 8). This power supply side electrical connection structure 70 is disposed outside the frame 40, outside the cylindrical portion 41. Thus, this power supply side electrical connection structure 70 physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the power supply side electric wire WB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 among one another, outside the frame 40.

[0026] The power supply side electrical connection structure 70 shown here includes a male screw member 71, a screw holding member 72 that holds the male screw member 71 with the male screw portion exposed, and a female screw member 73 that screws into the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 (FIGS. 4, 6, and 8). This power supply side electrical connection structure 70 has the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 inserted through through holes TBa, 62a, and 22a provided in the power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21, respectively, and the female screw member 73 screwed into the male screw portion to fasten the power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 together (FIGS. 6 and 8).

[0027] Here, in this power supply side electrical connection structure 70, the screw axis of the male screw portion is aligned in the vertical direction (i.e., the vertical direction of the vehicle), and the male screw member 71 is positioned so that this male screw portion protrudes vertically upward (i.e., toward the top of the vehicle) from the screw holding member 72.

[0028] The electrical connection box 1 also includes a load-side electrical connection structure 75 that electrically connects the load-side electric wire WL to the load connection portion 23 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 (FIGS. 2, 6, and 11). A load-side terminal fitting TL is attached to the end of the load-side electric wire WL (FIGS. 2 and 11). Thus, the load-side electrical connection structure 75 physically and electrically connects the load-side terminal fitting TL to the load connection portion 23 of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21.

[0029] The load side electrical connection structure 75 shown here includes a male screw member 76 and a female screw member 77 that screws into the male screw portion of the male screw member 76 (FIG. 11). The male screw member 76 has a resin portion 26 integrally molded therewith, with the male screw portion of the male screw member 76 inserted into a through hole 23a (FIG. 12) of the load connection portion 23 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 and the male screw portion exposed. The load side electrical connection structure 75 fastens the load side terminal fitting TL and the load connection portion 23 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 together by inserting the male screw portion of the male screw member 76 into a through hole TLa provided in the load side terminal fitting TL and screwing the female screw member 77 into the male screw portion (FIG. 11).

[0030] Here, in this load-side electrical connection structure 75, the male screw member 76 is arranged with the male screw portion protruding toward the side opposite to the cylindrical wall 41c side of the cylindrical portion 41. In this example, the male screw member 76 is arranged with the screw axis of the male screw portion aligned in a direction perpendicular to the vertical direction (i.e., the vehicle up-down direction), and with the male screw portion protruding toward the side opposite to the cylindrical wall 41c side of the cylindrical portion 41.

[0031] Specifically, the circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20 is disposed outside the frame 40 as follows.

[0032] The frame 40 has an outer wall forming an outer frame recessed toward the inside of the tube portion 41 to form a recess 42 in which the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 is disposed (FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, and 13). It is desirable that the recess 42 has a volume equal to or greater than the size of the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 and is formed so as to be able to accommodate the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 without allowing it to protrude. For example, the tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 has an opposing wall 41f that is disposed opposite the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 outside the tube. The recess 42 is formed by recessing the opposing wall 41f toward the inside of the tube.

[0033] The frame 40 has a sub-tube portion 43 outside the frame 40 outside the tube portion 41 (FIGS. 1 to 6, 9, and 13). The sub-tube portion 43 is a cylindrical portion with both end openings (openings 43a, 43b) that bulge outward from the tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 toward the outside of the frame 40. In the sub-tube portion 43, one opening 43a is disposed on the one opening 41a side of the tube portion 41 (i.e., the first opening peripheral portion 41d side), and the other opening 43b is disposed on the other opening 41b side of the tube portion 41 (i.e., the second opening peripheral portion 41e side). Here, the sub-tube portion 43 with both end openings (openings 43a, 43b) that bulge outward from the opposing wall 41f toward the outside of the frame 40 is formed. The sub-tube portion 43 is provided in the recess 42 of the frame 40.

[0034] Further, the tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 has a notch 44 that communicates the inside of the tube with the outside of the tube and allows the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60 to protrude outside the frame 40 outside the tube portion 41 (FIGS. 4, 6, and 13). This notch 44 is formed by cutting the tube wall 41c from the second opening peripheral portion 41e toward the first opening peripheral portion 41d in the tube axis direction of the tube portion 41. Here, the notch 44 is formed in the opposing wall body 41f. Outside the frame 40, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 protruding from the screw holding member 72 in the power source side electrical connection structure 70 is inserted into the through hole 62a of the second electrical connection portion 62 protruding outside the frame 40 via this notch 44.

[0035] The block 30 also has a protruding block portion 32 that protrudes from the notch 44 to the outside of the cylindrical portion 41 (FIGS. 4, 6, and 8). A screw holding member 72 is attached to the protruding block portion 32, thereby holding the power supply side electrical connection structure 70.

[0036] The power supply side electrical connection structure 70 physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 at a position protruding from the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side (FIGS. 4, 6, and 8). Here, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 protrudes vertically upward (toward the top of the vehicle) from the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32. The power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62, and the power supply connection portion 22 are physically and electrically connected by inserting the male screw portions into the respective through holes TBa, 62a, 22a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the end face 32a, and screwing the female screw member 73 into the male screw portions.

[0037] In this electrical connection box 1, with the internal conductive member 60 held by the block main body 31 and the power source side electrical connection structure 70 held by the protruding block portion 32, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 of the power source side electrical connection structure 70 is inserted into the through hole 62a of the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60. In this electrical connection box 1, by inserting the block main body 31 holding the internal conductive member 60 into the cylinder of the cylindrical portion 41 from the other opening 41b, the protruding block portion 32 is disposed outside the cylinder of the cylindrical portion 41 together with the power source side electrical connection structure 70 and the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, outside the frame 40. During this insertion, the block 30 is inserted into the notch 44 together with the internal conductive member 60. That is, in the block 30, there is a portion that is disposed in the notch 44 at the position where the assembly to the cylindrical portion 41 is completed. Here, that portion is utilized as a closing portion (hereinafter referred to as a "notch closing portion") 33 that closes the notch 44 at the assembly completion position (FIG. 4).

[0038] Here, when the block 30 and the tube portion 41 are in the assembled position, a gap G that enables the assembly and improves the ease of assembly is formed between the periphery of the notch 44 in the tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 and the notch closing portion 33 (FIG. 4). In this electrical connection box 1, when water hits the power source side electrical connection structure 70 on the side of the first opening periphery 41d rather than the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 and splashes back, the water is prevented from entering the tube of the tube portion 41 through the gap G between the notch 44 and the notch closing portion 33.

[0039] In the gap G, a gap g is formed in the axial direction of the tubular portion 41 between a peripheral portion 41c1 of the notch 44 in the tubular wall 41c on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side and an end portion 33a of the notch closing portion 33 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side (FIG. 4). Here, the positional relationship between the gap g as a part of the gap G and the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 is set as follows to prevent water from entering the interior of the tubular portion 41 from the gap G. The gap g is provided on the second opening peripheral portion 41e side of the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 in the axial direction of the tubular portion 41. In other words, by providing an end face of the peripheral portion 41c1 of the cylindrical wall 41c on the second opening peripheral portion 41e side closer to the second opening peripheral portion 41e than the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 at the assembly completion position in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41, the gap g is formed closer to the second opening peripheral portion 41e than the end face 32a of the protruding block portion 32 in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41. As a result, in this electrical connection box 1, water that bounces off the power source side electrical connection structure 70 can be directed toward, for example, the outer wall surface of the cylindrical wall 41c (opposing wall body 41f) without being directed toward the gap g, and the water can be dropped vertically downward (below the vehicle) without entering the cylindrical portion 41 from the gap G.

[0040] Moreover, it is preferable that the block 30 has an opposing wall surface 34 which is a wall surface disposed opposite the peripheral portion 41c1 of the notch 44 inside the cylindrical portion 41 and extends toward the first opening peripheral portion 41d to increase the creeping distance from the gap g (FIG. 4). As a result, in this electrical junction box 1, even if water seeps into the gap g, the opposing wall surface 34 can prevent the water from entering the cylindrical portion 41.

[0041] In addition, it is preferable that the block 30 has a mounting surface 31a on the block body 31 on which the electronic component 10 inserted from the first opening peripheral portion 41d side is placed, the mounting surface 31a being located closer to the first opening peripheral portion 41d than the gap g (FIG. 14). In the electrical connection box 1, the above-mentioned opposing wall surface 34 is not provided, and even if water seeps into the gap g and enters the inside of the cylindrical portion 41, the water can be dropped vertically downward (to the bottom of the vehicle) without being conveyed to the mounting surface 31a. As a result, in the electrical connection box 1, it is not necessary for water to be conveyed to the terminal fittings of the electronic component 10 located on the mounting surface 31a. In the example shown in this figure, the mounting surface 31a and the opposing wall surface 34 are used in combination.

[0042] Incidentally, the interior of the secondary cylinder portion 43 communicates with the interior of the cylinder portion 41 via the notch 44. The protruding block portion 32 and the power supply side electrical connection structure 70 are disposed inside the secondary cylinder portion 43. For this reason, the secondary cylinder portion 43 is used to make it difficult for water to flow toward the gap G. Therefore, it is preferable to provide one opening 43a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the secondary cylinder portion 43 closer to the first opening peripheral portion 41d than the gap g (FIG. 4). As a result, in this electrical connection box 1, it is difficult for water to flow from one opening 43a of the secondary cylinder portion 43 to the gap G, so that it is possible to prevent water from entering the cylinder of the cylinder portion 41 from the gap G.

[0043] In this electrical connection box 1, the block body 31 holding the internal conductive member 60 is inserted into the tube of the tube portion 41 from the other opening 41b, and the protruding block portion 32 holding the power source side electrical connection structure 70 is inserted into the tube of the secondary cylindrical portion 43 together with the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60 from the other opening 43b on the second opening periphery 41e side. In this electrical connection box 1, with the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 coming out vertically upward (toward the top of the vehicle) from one opening 43a of the secondary cylindrical portion 43, the protruding block portion 32, the power source side electrical connection structure 70, and the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60 are accommodated inside the tube of the secondary cylindrical portion 43 (FIG. 4).

[0044] In this electrical connection box 1, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 is inserted into the through hole 22a to assemble the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 to the power supply side electrical connection structure 70, and further, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 is inserted into the through hole TBa to assemble the power supply side terminal fitting TB to the power supply side electrical connection structure 70. Then, in this electrical connection box 1, the female screw member 73 is screwed into the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 to fasten together the power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21. In this electrical connection box 1, the power supply side terminal fitting TB and the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 are assembled to the block 30 via the power supply side electrical connection structure 70.

[0045] One opening 43a of the secondary cylindrical portion 43 is covered by a first cover member 51 attached to the frame 40 together with the power supply side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, the power supply connection portion 22 of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21, and the power supply side electrical connection structure 70, and is housed within this first cover member 51. In addition, this first cover member 51 covers the recess 42 of the frame 40, and houses the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 in this recess 42 in the space between the first cover member 51 and the recess 42.

[0046] Specifically, the first cover member 51 has a cover main body 51a positioned opposite one of the openings 41a of the tubular portion 41, an annular outer wall body 51b covering the first opening peripheral portion 41d from the outside of the tubular portion 41, a blocking wall body 51c closing the gap between the cover main body 51a and the outer wall body 51b, an annular inner wall body 51d positioned inside the outer wall body 51b with a gap therebetween and fitting into the first opening peripheral portion 41d, and a waterproof cover wall body 51e protruding from the outer wall body 51b to a position where it covers and conceals the gap g and the power supply side electrical connection structure 70 between it and the tubular wall 41c of the tubular portion 41.

[0047] In this first cover member 51, a gap between the peripheral edge of the cover main body 51a and the peripheral edge of one opening of the outer peripheral wall body 51b on the cover main body 51a side is closed by the closing wall body 51c. Therefore, in this first cover member 51, an internal space that is open on the side of the outer peripheral wall body 51b opposite to the cover main body 51a is formed by the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall body 51b, and the closing wall body 51c.

[0048] The outer peripheral wall 51b is disposed facing the opposing wall 41f with a space therebetween for at least the space for the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 (FIG. 5). Therefore, the first cover member 51 can cover and conceal the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from one opening 41a side outside the tube portion 41 by the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall 51b, and the blocking wall 51c. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from vertically above (above the vehicle). Here, the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall 51b, and the blocking wall 51c cover and conceal the one opening 43a of the sub-tubular portion 43 and the power source side electric wire WB together with the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from one opening 41a side outside the tube portion 41. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can cover and hide the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power supply side electrical connection structure 70 from the one opening 41a side outside the cylindrical portion 41. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side terminal fittings TB, etc. from vertically above (above the vehicle). Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water coming from vertically above (above the vehicle) from flowing into the gap G from one opening 43a of the secondary cylindrical portion 43.

[0049] The inner peripheral wall 51d is disposed in an internal space formed by the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall 51b, and the closing wall 51c. The inner peripheral wall 51d is an annular wall that extends to the cover main body 51a and is connected to the cover main body 51a. In the first cover member 51, the cover main body 51a and the inner peripheral wall 51d form an internal space that is open on the opposite side of the cover main body 51a in the inner peripheral wall 51d. In other words, the inner peripheral wall 51d forms a partition wall that divides the internal space formed by the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall 51b, and the closing wall 51c into two.

[0050] This inner wall 51d has a waterproof wall portion 51f that fits into the peripheral portion 41f1 on one opening 41a side of the opposing wall 41f, which is part of the first opening peripheral portion 41d, from outside the cylinder and covers the peripheral portion 41f1 of the opposing wall 41f from outside the cylinder (Figures 5, 7 and 10).

[0051] The waterproof cover wall 51e shown here is provided as a wall for preventing water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20. This waterproof cover wall 51e protrudes from the outer peripheral wall 51b to a position where it covers and conceals the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 between it and the opposing wall 41f (FIGS. 1 and 2). This waterproof cover wall 51e protrudes from the outer peripheral wall 51b toward the other opening 41b of the cylindrical portion 41 in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41, and is disposed opposite the opposing wall 41f with a gap therebetween. As a result, the first cover member 51 can cover and conceal the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from one opening 41a side outside the cylindrical portion 41 with the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall body 51b, and the blocking wall body 51c, while covering and concealing this circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from the opposing wall body 41f side (i.e., the lateral side of the frame 40) outside the cylindrical portion 41 with the waterproof cover wall body 51e. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from vertically above (above the vehicle), and can also prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from the front, rear, or lateral sides of the vehicle.

[0052] Furthermore, the waterproof cover wall 51e is formed in a shape that covers and conceals the secondary cylindrical portion 43 and the power source side electric wire WB together with the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 (FIGS. 1 and 2). Therefore, the first cover member 51 covers and conceals the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power source side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power source side electrical connection structure 70 from one opening 41a side outside the cylindrical portion 41 by the cover main body 51a, the outer circumferential wall 51b, and the blocking wall 51c, while the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power source side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the internal conductive member 60, and the power source side electrical connection structure 70 can be covered and concealed from the opposing wall 41f side (the lateral side of the frame 40) outside the cylindrical portion 41 by the waterproof cover wall 51e. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side terminal fittings TB, etc. from vertically above (above the vehicle), and can also prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side terminal fittings TB, etc. from the front, rear, side, etc. of the vehicle. For example, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from the front, rear, side, etc. of the vehicle from flowing from one opening 43a of the secondary cylinder portion 43 to the gap G by the waterproof cover wall 51e.

[0053] In addition, the first cover member 51 covers and conceals the entire circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from the opposing wall 41f side (the lateral side of the frame 40) outside the tube portion 41 by the waterproof cover wall 51e. In other words, the waterproof cover wall 51e covers and conceals the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 from the end of the tube portion 41 on one opening 41a side to the end of the other opening 41b side. Therefore, the waterproof cover wall 51e makes it difficult for water splashed up from the vertical downward direction (below the vehicle) to reach the end of the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 on the other opening 41b side, and can prevent water from reaching the power source side electrical connection structure 70 and the load side electrical connection structure 75. Therefore, the waterproof cover wall 51e can prevent water splashed up from the vertical downward direction (below the vehicle) from flowing from one opening 43a of the secondary tube portion 43 to the gap G.

[0054] In this way, the first cover member 51 can ensure waterproofing for the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side electrical connection structure 70, and the like, outside the cylindrical portion 41.

[0055] Here, the waterproof cover wall 51e is formed as a cantilevered flat plate with the outer peripheral wall 51b side as a fixed end and the end on the other opening 41b side protruding from the outer peripheral wall 51b as a free end. Therefore, if the waterproof cover wall 51e deforms in a direction away from the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 and the end on the other opening 41b side widens the gap with the opposing wall 41f, water will easily seep in through the gap.

[0056] Therefore, the frame 40 has at least two cover deformation suppressing parts 45 that fit the periphery of the waterproof cover wall 51e and suppress deformation of the waterproof cover wall 51e in a direction away from the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 (Figs. 1 to 3, 5 to 7, 9 and 15). The waterproof cover wall 51e has two side ends 51e1, 51e2 along the protruding direction from the outer peripheral wall 51b (Fig. 15). Here, the cover deformation prevention portion 45 includes a first cover deformation prevention portion 45A that engages the outer wall surface (the wall surface opposite the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20) at one side end portion 51e1 of the waterproof cover wall 51e, and a second cover deformation prevention portion 45B that engages the outer wall surface (the wall surface opposite the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20) at the other side end portion 51e2 of the waterproof cover wall 51e, which are provided in a protruding state on the tubular wall 41c of the tubular portion 41.

[0057] The first cover deformation suppressing portion 45A has a pair of protruding portions 45a, 45a that protrude from the tube wall 41c outside the tube portion 41 and extend in the assembly direction of the first cover member 51 to the tube portion 41. The pair of protruding portions 45a, 45a are arranged with a gap between them wider than the plate thickness of the waterproof cover wall body 51e, and one side end portion 51e1 of the waterproof cover wall body 51e is inserted into the gap between them. In this first cover deformation suppressing portion 45A, one side end portion 51e1 of the waterproof cover wall body 51e is inserted between the pair of protruding portions 45a, 45a as the first cover member 51 is assembled to the tube portion 41. In this first cover deformation suppressing portion 45A, one protruding portion 45a arranged opposite to the outer wall surface of one side end portion 51e1 of the waterproof cover wall body 51e engages the outer wall surface.

[0058] The second cover deformation prevention portion 45B is a protrusion that protrudes from the tubular wall 41c outside the tubular portion 41, and is formed as an L-shaped protrusion whose orthogonal cross section relative to the assembly direction of the first cover member 51 to the tubular portion 41 is L-shaped, and engages the outer wall surface of the other side end portion 51e2 of the waterproof cover wall 51e.

[0059] Here, the first cover deformation suppressing portion 45A locks one side end portion 51e1 of the waterproof cover wall body 51e from the outer wall surface side, and the second cover deformation suppressing portion 45B locks the other side end portion 51e2 of the waterproof cover wall body 51e from the outer wall surface side, thereby suppressing deformation of the waterproof cover wall body 51e in a direction away from the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can continue to suppress water splashed up from vertically below (below the vehicle) from reaching the power source side electrical connection structure 70 or the load side electrical connection structure 75 by the waterproof cover wall body 51e. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can suppress water splashed up from vertically below (below the vehicle) from flowing from one opening 43a of the secondary cylinder portion 43 to the gap G.

[0060] The second cover member 52 has a closing portion 53 that closes the other opening 43b of the secondary cylinder portion 43 (FIGS. 1, 2, 7, 9, and 16). The other opening 43b of the secondary cylinder portion 43 is closed by the closing portion 53 of the second cover member 52 attached to the frame 40 so as not to be exposed to the outside of the frame 40.

[0061] In this electrical junction box 1, all of the core wires of the power source side electric wire WB and the load side electric wire WL may be made of copper or a copper alloy. However, in order to reduce the weight of the power source side electric wire WB and the load side electric wire WL, it is preferable that at least one core wire of them is made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. For example, all of the core wires of the power source side electric wire WB and the load side electric wire WL may be made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, or at least one core wire may be made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and the remaining core wires may be made of copper or a copper alloy.

[0062] When the core wires of the power source side electric wires WB and the load side electric wires WL are made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, they can be made lighter than those made of copper or a copper alloy, but they become thicker and harder to bend in order to handle large currents. However, in this electrical junction box 1, the circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20 is disposed outside the frame 40 outside the cylindrical portion 41, and the power source side electric wires WB and the load side electric wires WL, which are difficult to bend, are routed outside the frame 40. Therefore, this electrical junction box 1 can prevent the power source side electric wires WB and the like from applying an excessive load to the surroundings inside the housing, and can also improve the accommodation of other electric wires inside the cylindrical portion 41.

[0063] Specifically, the electrical junction box 1 shown here includes a first internal conductive member 60A and a second internal conductive member 60B as the internal conductive member 60, and the first internal conductive member 60A and the second internal conductive member 60B are held by a block 30 (FIGS. 6 and 8). Here, the internal conductive member 60 includes two types of first internal conductive members 60A.

[0064] The circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 shown here includes a first power supply connecting portion 22A and a second power supply connecting portion 22B as the power supply connecting portion 22, and the first power supply connecting portion 22A and the second power supply connecting portion 22B are electrically connected to the first power supply side electric wire WB1 and the second power supply side electric wire WB2 as the power supply side electric wire WB, respectively (FIGS. 6, 11, and 12). In this circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21, the first power supply connecting portion 22A and the second power supply connecting portion 22B are connected by a connecting portion 25, and the fusible portion 24 is connected to the first power supply connecting portion 22A and the second power supply connecting portion 22B via the connecting portion 25. That is, the fusible portion 24 is interposed between the first power supply connecting portion 22A and the load connecting portion 23, and is interposed between the second power supply connecting portion 22B and the load connecting portion 23.

[0065] The first power source side electric wire WB1 is interposed between the first power source connection portion 22A and the external power source B as viewed from the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21, and electrically connects the first power source connection portion 22A to the external power source B. The second power source side electric wire WB2 is electrically connected to an external electric component P, such as an alternator or a DC-DC converter, disposed outside the housing, and is electrically connected to the external power source B via the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 and the first power source side electric wire WB1. In other words, the second power source side electric wire WB2 electrically connects the external electric component P to the external power source B via the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 and the first power source side electric wire WB1.

[0066] The first power supply connection portion 22A physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the first power supply side electric wire WB1 and the second electrical connection portion 62 of the first internal conductive member 60A. The electrical connection box 1 is provided with a first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A as the power supply side electrical connection structure 70, which physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the first power supply side electric wire WB1, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the first internal conductive member 60A, and the first power supply connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 among each other (FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8). In this first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, the male screw portion of a male screw member 71 is inserted into the through holes TBa, 62a, 22a of the power source side terminal fitting TB at the end of the first power source side electric wire WB1, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the first internal conductive member 60A, and the first power source connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21, and a female screw member 73 is screwed into the male screw portion, thereby fastening together the power source side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the first internal conductive member 60A, and the first power source connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21. Here, the power source side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A, and the first power source connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 are fastened together.

[0067] The frame 40 shown here has a first sub-tubular portion 43A as the sub-tubular portion 43, which houses the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A inside the tube and allows the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 in the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A to protrude from one opening 43a (FIGS. 1 to 3, 5, 6, 9, and 13). The first sub-tubular portion 43A is provided in the recess 42 of the frame 40. The tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 is provided with a first notch 44A as a notch 44, which communicates the inside of the tube itself with the inside of the tube of the first sub-tubular portion 43A and allows the second electrical connection portion 62 of the first internal conductive member 60A to protrude outside the frame 40 outside the tube portion 41 (FIG. 6). The block 30 is provided with a first protruding block portion 32A, which protrudes from the first notch 44A to the outside of the tubular portion 41 and is accommodated within the tube of the first sub-tubular portion 43A, as a protruding block portion 32 to which the screw retaining member 72 of the first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A is attached (Figures 6 and 8).

[0068] In this electrical connection box 1, with the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 extending vertically upward (above the vehicle) from one of the openings 43a of the first sub-tube portion 43A, the first protruding block portion 32A, the first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A, and the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A are accommodated within the tube of the first sub-tube portion 43A (Figure 4).

[0069] The second power supply connection portion 22B physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the second power supply side electric wire WB2 and the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B. The electrical connection box 1 includes, as the power supply side electrical connection structure 70, a second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B that physically and electrically connects the power supply side terminal fitting TB at the end of the second power supply side electric wire WB2, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B, and the second power supply connection portion 22B of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 among each other (FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8). This second power source side electrical connection structure 70B has a male screw portion of a male screw member 71 inserted into the through holes TBa, 62a, 22a of the power source side terminal fitting TB at the end of the second power source side wire WB2, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B, and the second power source connection portion 22B of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21, and a female screw member 73 screwed into the male screw portion, thereby fastening the power source side terminal fitting TB, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B, and the second power source connection portion 22B of the circuit branching member (circuit protection member) 21 together.

[0070] The frame 40 shown here has, as the sub-tubular portion 43, a second sub-tubular portion 43B that houses the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B inside the tube and allows the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 in the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B to protrude from one opening 43a (FIGS. 1 to 3, 5, 6, 9, and 13). The second sub-tubular portion 43B is provided in the recess 42 of the frame 40. The tube wall 41c of the tube portion 41 has, as a notch 44, a second notch 44B that communicates the inside of the tube itself with the inside of the tube of the second sub-tubular portion 43B and allows the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B to protrude outside the frame 40 outside the tube portion 41 (FIG. 5). The block 30 is provided with a second protruding block portion 32B which protrudes from the second notch 44B to the outside of the tubular portion 41 and is accommodated within the tube of the second sub-tubular portion 43B as a protruding block portion 32 to which the screw retaining member 72 of the second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B is attached (Figures 6 and 8).

[0071] In this electrical connection box 1, with the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 extending vertically upward (above the vehicle) from one opening 43a of the second sub-tube portion 43B, the second protruding block portion 32B, the second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B, and the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B are accommodated within the tube of the second sub-tube portion 43B.

[0072] In this electrical connection box 1, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 of the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A is inserted into the through hole 22a of the first power source connection portion 22A to assemble the first power source connection portion 22A to the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, and the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 of the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B is inserted into the through hole 22a of the second power source connection portion 22B to assemble the second power source connection portion 22B to the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B. In this electrical connection box 1, the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 of the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A is inserted into the through hole TBa of the power source side terminal fitting TB of the first power source side electric wire WB1 to assemble the power source side terminal fitting TB to the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, and the male screw portion of the male screw member 71 of the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B is inserted into the through hole TBa of the power source side terminal fitting TB of the second power source side electric wire WB2 to assemble the power source side terminal fitting TB to the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B. In this electrical connection box 1, the female screw members 73 are screwed into the male screw portions of the male screw members 71 to fasten together the power supply side terminal fittings TB of the first power supply side electric wire WB1, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A, and the first power supply connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21, and also fasten together the power supply side terminal fittings TB of the second power supply side electric wire WB2, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B, and the second power supply connection portion 22B of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21. In this electrical connection box 1, the two power supply side terminal fittings TB and the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 are assembled to the block 30 via the first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A and the second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B.

[0073] The first power source side electrical connection structure 70A physically and electrically connects the power source side terminal fitting TB of the first power source side electric wire WB1, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A, and the first power source connection portion 22A of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21 at a position protruding from the end face 32a of the first protruding block portion 32A on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side (FIG. 4). A gap g formed between the peripheral portion 41c1 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the first notch 44A in the cylindrical wall 41c and the end portion 33a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the notch closing portion 33 on the first protruding block portion 32A side is provided on the second opening peripheral portion 41e side of the end face 32a of the first protruding block portion 32A in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41. As a result, in the electrical connection box 1, water that bounces off the first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A can be directed downward vertically (toward the bottom of the vehicle) without being directed toward the gap g.

[0074] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, the block 30 has an opposing wall surface 34 that is positioned opposite the peripheral portion 41c1 of the first notch 44A inside the tubular portion 41. As a result, even if water enters by seeping into the gap g on the first notch 44A side, the opposing wall surface 34 can prevent the water from entering the interior of the tubular portion 41.

[0075] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, by locating the mounting surface 31a of the block 30 for the electronic component 10 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side rather than the gap g on the first notch 44A side, even if water seeps into the gap g and enters the interior of the tubular portion 41, the water will not reach the terminal fittings, etc., of the electronic component 10 located on the mounting surface 31a.

[0076] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, one of the openings 43a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the first sub-tube portion 43A is provided closer to the first opening peripheral portion 41d than the gap g on the first notch 44A side, making it difficult for water to flow from the one of the openings 43a of the first sub-tube portion 43A to the gap G on the first notch 44A side, thereby preventing water from entering the interior of the tube portion 41 through the gap G.

[0077] The second power source side electrical connection structure 70B, at a position protruding from the end face 32a of the second protruding block portion 32B on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side, physically and electrically connects the power source side terminal fitting TB of the second power source side electric wire WB2, the second electrical connection portion 62 of the second internal conductive member 60B, and the second power source connection portion 22B of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21. A gap g formed between the peripheral portion 41c1 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the second notch 44B in the cylindrical wall 41c and the end portion 33a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the notch closing portion 33 on the second protruding block portion 32B side is provided on the second opening peripheral portion 41e side of the end face 32a of the second protruding block portion 32B in the cylindrical axis direction of the cylindrical portion 41. As a result, in the electrical connection box 1, water that bounces off the second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B can be directed downward vertically (toward the bottom of the vehicle) without being directed toward the gap g.

[0078] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, the block 30 has an opposing wall surface 34 that is positioned opposite the peripheral portion 41c1 of the second notch 44B inside the tubular portion 41. As a result, even if water enters by seeping into the gap g on the second notch 44B side, the opposing wall surface 34 can prevent the water from entering the interior of the tubular portion 41.

[0079] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, by locating the mounting surface 31a of the block 30 for the electronic component 10 on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side rather than the gap g on the second notch 44B side, even if water seeps into the gap g and enters the interior of the tubular portion 41, the water will not reach the terminal fittings, etc. of the electronic component 10 located on the mounting surface 31a.

[0080] Furthermore, in this electrical connection box 1, one of the openings 43a on the first opening peripheral portion 41d side of the second sub-tube portion 43B is provided closer to the first opening peripheral portion 41d than the gap g on the second notch 44B side, making it difficult for water to flow from the one of the openings 43a of the second sub-tube portion 43B to the gap G on the second notch 44B side, thereby preventing water from entering the interior of the tube portion 41 through the gap G.

[0081] One of the openings 43a in each of the first sub-tube portion 43A and the second sub-tube portion 43B is covered by a first cover member 51 together with the two power supply side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A and the second internal conductive members 60B, the first power supply connection portion 22A and the second power supply connection portion 22B of the circuit branch member (circuit protection member) 21, the first power supply side electrical connection structure 70A and the second power supply side electrical connection structure 70B, and is housed within this first cover member 51.

[0082] The first cover member 51, by using the cover main body 51a, the outer peripheral wall body 51b, and the blocking wall body 51c, covers and conceals the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20 together with one of the openings 43a in the first sub-tubular portion 43A and the second sub-tubular portion 43B and the first power source side electric wire WB1 and the second power source side electric wire WB2 from the one opening 41a side outside the tube portion 41. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can cover and conceal the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the two power source side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A and the second internal conductive members 60B, the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, and the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B from the one opening 41a side outside the tube portion 41. Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water from splashing on the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the power supply side terminal fitting TB, etc. from vertically above (above the vehicle). Therefore, when water comes from vertically above (above the vehicle), the first cover member 51 can prevent the water from flowing from one opening 43a of the first sub-tube portion 43A to the gap G on the first notch 44A side, and can also prevent the water from flowing from one opening 43a of the second sub-tube portion 43B to the gap G on the second notch 44B side.

[0083] Furthermore, the first cover member 51 uses the waterproof cover wall 51e to cover and conceal the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the two power source side terminal fittings TB, the second electrical connection portions 62 of the two first internal conductive members 60A and the second internal conductive members 60B, the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, and the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B from the opposing wall 41f side (the lateral side of the frame 40) outside the cylindrical portion 41. Therefore, when water comes from the front, rear, or lateral side of the vehicle, the waterproof cover wall 51e can prevent the water from flowing from one opening 43a of the first sub cylindrical portion 43A to the gap G on the first notch 44A side, and can also prevent the water from flowing from one opening 43a of the second sub cylindrical portion 43B to the gap G on the second notch 44B side. Therefore, this first cover member 51 can prevent water from getting onto the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, power supply side terminal fittings TB, etc. from vertically above (above the vehicle), and can also prevent water from getting onto the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, power supply side terminal fittings TB, etc. from the front, rear, or sides of the vehicle.

[0084] Furthermore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water splashed up from vertically below from reaching the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B, and the load side electrical connection structure 75 by the waterproof cover wall body 51e. The first cover member 51 can continue to maintain the prevention function by the cover deformation prevention portion 45 (the first cover deformation prevention portion 45A and the second cover deformation prevention portion 45B). Therefore, the first cover member 51 can prevent water splashed up from vertically below (below the vehicle) from reaching the gap G from one opening 43a of the first sub-tube portion 43A or the second sub-tube portion 43B.

[0085] In this way, the first cover member 51 can ensure waterproofing for the circuit branch component (circuit protection component) 20, the first power source side electrical connection structure 70A, the second power source side electrical connection structure 70B, etc. outside the cylindrical portion 41.

[0086] The second cover member 52 has, as the closing portion 53, a first closing portion 53A that closes the other opening 43b of the first sub-tube portion 43A so as not to be exposed to the outside of the frame 40, and a second closing portion 53B that closes the other opening 43b of the second sub-tube portion 43B so as not to be exposed to the outside of the frame 40 (FIGS. 1, 2, 9, and 16). The first closing portion 53A and the second closing portion 53B may be a single plate-like wall that closes the other opening 43b together with the first notch 44A and the second notch 44B from the outside of the frame 40, or may be composed of a plurality of walls that surround and cover the other opening 43b together with the first notch 44A and the second notch 44B from the outside of the frame 40. Here, the first split cover 52A is attached to the second opening periphery 41e of the cylinder portion 41, on which the first sub cylinder portion 43A and the second sub cylinder portion 43B are provided. Therefore, the first closing portion 53A and the second closing portion 53B are provided on the first split cover 52A.

[0087] As described above, in the electric connection box 1 of the present embodiment, the circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20 is disposed outside the frame 40 outside the cylindrical portion 41, so that it is possible to prevent overloading of the power supply side electric wires WB (first power supply side electric wires WB1, second power supply side electric wires WB2) and the load side electric wires WL connected to the circuit branching component (circuit protection component) 20 on the surroundings in the housing. In particular, in the electric connection box 1, the power supply side electric wires WB (first power supply side electric wires WB1, second power supply side electric wires WB2) and the load side electric wires WL are less likely to bend as the wire diameter increases, so that it is possible to prevent overloading of the power supply side electric wires WB and the like on the surroundings in the housing. For example, in the electric connection box 1, by preventing overloading of the power supply side electric wires WB and the like on the second cover member 52 in the housing, it is possible to suppress deformation of the second cover member 52. Furthermore, this electrical junction box 1 can improve the accommodation of other electric wires within the cylinder of the tubular portion 41 by routing the power supply side electric wires WB, etc., which are difficult to bend, outside the frame 40. Furthermore, this electrical junction box 1 can suppress the rise in temperature within the housing because heat generated by the power supply side electric wires WB, etc., is not trapped within the housing by routing the power supply side electric wires WB, etc. outside the frame 40. Furthermore, while achieving these effects, this electrical junction box 1 can suppress the intrusion of water into the cylinder of the tubular portion 41 through the gap G, thereby ensuring waterproofing while suppressing overload within the housing.
