Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to automotive glazings. [Background technology]

[0002] Patent Document 1 proposes a windshield equipped with an information acquisition device such as a camera that acquires information outside the vehicle.

[0003] According to the windshield of Patent Document 1, an information acquisition area facing the camera and through which light passes is positioned adjacent to the shielding layer or surrounded by the shielding layer, and this information acquisition area is heated by an information acquisition area heating section to remove fogging from the information acquisition area.

[0004] Furthermore, the information acquisition region heating section described in Patent Document 1 has a pair of busbar parts and one heating wire connected to both busbar parts. The pair of busbar parts are arranged so as to be included in the shielding layer in the line of sight direction, and the heating wire is folded back at multiple points with intervals between them and arranged so as to pass over the information acquisition region. [0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2017-216193 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] Incidentally, an automobile window glass having an anti-fogging function (including a snow melting function) as disclosed in Patent Document 1 is designed under three conditions: voltage, power density, and heat generation area. In addition, the resistivity (adjustable resistance range) of the heating wire, which is the heat generating part, is determined for each material used. This heating wire is connected to the battery (power source) of the automobile via wiring, and a constant voltage (for example, 11 to 14 V) is applied from the battery. Then, a means for adjusting the current flowing through the heating wire is required, and one example of such a means is to adjust the wire length of the heating wire arranged outside the heat generation area, that is, the wire length arranged between the busbar part and the heat generation area. In other words, the resistance value of the heating wire itself is changed by adjusting the wire length of the heating wire arranged outside the heat generation area, and the current flowing through the heating wire is adjusted.

[0007] However, if the length of the heating wire disposed outside the heat generating region is increased, the following problems arise.

[0008] That is, in the vicinity of the information acquisition area where the camera is arranged, there are a number of adhesive regions for fixing a number of brackets, such as a bracket for a camera, a mirror base for an inner mirror, or a bracket for a distance measuring sensor or a rain (raindrop) sensor, to the windshield. For this reason, the portion of the heating wire with a longer wire length arranged outside the heat generation area (hereinafter referred to as the "extra wire") must be arranged around these adhesive regions. Therefore, the arrangement area of the extra wire relative to the windshield is inevitably wide. And if an attempt is made to hide the arrangement area of the extra wire with a shielding layer, the area of the shielding layer becomes wide, resulting in a problem that the field of view of the vehicle occupants is narrowed.

[0009] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has an object to provide an automobile window glass having an anti-fogging function, which can ensure good visibility for automobile occupants. [Means for solving the problem]

[0010] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides an automobile window glass configured to be attached to an automobile, the automobile window glass comprising: an information communication device configured to be mounted inside the automobile; an electrical conductor; and wiring configured to connect the conductor to a power source arranged in the automobile, the conductor having a heat generating part capable of heating an information transmission / reception area in which the information communication device can transmit and / or receive information via the automobile window glass, and an electrical resistor is provided between the heat generating part and the power source. Effect of the Invention

[0011] According to the present invention, in an automobile window glass having an anti-fogging function, in a conductor having a heat generating portion capable of heating an information transmission / reception area where an information communication device can transmit and / or receive information through the automobile window glass, the excess wire, which is the longer portion of the conductor (heating wire) arranged outside the information transmission / reception area, can be shortened and the arrangement area of the excess wire can be reduced, thereby ensuring good visibility for automobile occupants. [0013] The vehicle window glass according to the embodiment of the present invention includes an information communication device, a conductor, and wiring connecting the conductor and a power source. The conductor has a heat generating portion capable of heating an information transmission / reception area. An electric resistor is provided between the heat generating portion and the power source.

[0014] In addition, in the present embodiment, a windshield made of laminated glass is described as an example of an automobile window glass, but the invention is not limited thereto. For example, the automobile window glass of the present invention can be applied to other window glasses such as rear glass, door glass, and roof glass made of a single glass plate.

[0015] Hereinafter, a windshield according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0016] Fig. 1 is a front view of a windshield 10 according to an embodiment as viewed from the inside of a vehicle, and Fig. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the windshield 10 taken along line 2-2 in Fig. 1.

[0017] 1 and 2 is a laminated glass in which a first glass plate (hereinafter abbreviated as "glass plate") 12 located on the outer side of the vehicle and a second glass plate (hereinafter abbreviated as "glass plate") 14 located on the inner side of the vehicle are arranged to face each other when installed in an automobile vehicle. An intermediate film 16 is arranged between the glass plate 12 and the glass plate 14, and the glass plate 12 and the glass plate 14 are bonded together by this intermediate film 16.

[0018] The glass plates 12 and 14 may be, for example, inorganic glass such as soda lime glass, aluminosilicate glass, borosilicate glass, alkali-free glass, and quartz glass, or organic glass. The glass plate 12 arranged on the outside of the vehicle is preferably inorganic glass from the viewpoint of scratch resistance, and is preferably soda lime glass from the viewpoint of formability. When the glass plates 12 and 14 are soda lime glass, clear glass, green glass containing a predetermined amount or more of iron components, and UV-cut green glass can be suitably used. When the glass plates 12 and 14 are inorganic glass, the glass plates 12 and 14 can be manufactured, for example, by the float method. On the other hand, examples of materials for organic glass include transparent resins such as polycarbonate, acrylic resins such as polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinyl chloride, and polystyrene.

[0019] The thickness of the glass plate 12 is preferably 1.1 mm or more and 3 mm or less. When the thickness of the glass plate 12 is 1.1 mm or more, strength such as resistance to flying stones can be ensured, and when the thickness is 3 mm or less, the weight of the windshield 10 is reduced, which is preferable because it improves the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. The thickness of the glass plate 12 at the thinnest part is more preferably 1.8 mm or more and 2.8 mm or less, even more preferably 1.8 mm or more and 2.6 mm or less, even more preferably 1.8 mm or more and 2.2 mm or less, and even more preferably 1.8 mm or more and 2.0 mm or less.

[0020] The thickness of the glass plate 14 is preferably 0.3 mm or more and 2.3 mm or less. When the thickness of the glass plate 14 is 0.3 mm or more, the handling property is good, and when the thickness is 2.3 mm or less, the weight of the windshield 10 is reduced, which is preferable because the fuel efficiency of the vehicle is improved.

[0021] The total thickness of the windshield 10 (laminated glass) is preferably 2.8 mm or more and 10 mm or less. If the total thickness of the windshield 10 is 2.8 mm or more, sufficient rigidity can be ensured. Furthermore, if the total thickness of the windshield 10 is 10 mm or less, sufficient transmittance can be obtained and haze can be reduced. The thicknesses of the glass plates 12, 14 may be the same or different.

[0022] Either one or both of the glass plates 12, 14 may have a wedge-shaped cross section with a plate thickness that increases from the lower edge to the upper edge of the windshield 10 when the windshield 10 is attached to the vehicle.

[0023] Furthermore, when the windshield 10 has a curved shape, the glass sheets 12, 14 are bent after being formed by a float method or the like and before being bonded with the interlayer film 16. The bending is performed by softening the glass sheets 12, 14 by heating. Specifically, the glass sheets 12, 14 can be bent by gravity forming, press forming or the like after being formed by the float method. The heating temperature of the glass sheets 12, 14 during bending is 550 to 700° C., which is near the softening point temperature.

[0024] The windshield 10 may have a single bent shape, bent in only one direction, for example, in the front-rear direction or the up-down direction of the vehicle when attached to an opening of the vehicle. The windshield 10 may also have a compound bent shape, bent in both the front-rear direction and the up-down direction of the vehicle. The radii of curvature of the glass plates 12 and 14 in the windshield 10 may be the same or different. The radii of curvature of the bent shapes of the glass plates 12 and 14 may be 1,000 to 100,000 mm.

[0025] The glass plates 12 and 14 may be unstrengthened glass or tempered glass. Unstrengthened glass is obtained by forming molten glass into a plate shape and slowly cooling it. The tempered glass may be either physically strengthened glass (for example, air-cooled tempered glass) or chemically strengthened glass. In the case of physically strengthened glass, the glass surface may be strengthened by generating a compressive stress layer on the glass surface due to the temperature difference between the glass surface and the inside of the glass by an operation other than slow cooling, such as rapidly cooling the glass plate uniformly heated in bending from near the softening point temperature. In the case of chemically strengthened glass, the glass surface may be strengthened by generating a compressive stress on the glass surface by an ion exchange method or the like after bending. In addition, glass that absorbs ultraviolet rays or infrared rays may be used. Furthermore, the glass plates 12 and 14 are preferably transparent, but may be colored glass plates to the extent that transparency is not impaired. In this case, the visible light transmittance of the windshield 10 is preferably 70% or more.

[0026] The windshield 10 has a shielding layer 18 formed on its periphery. The shielding layer 18 can be formed, for example, by applying a ceramic color paste containing a fusible glass frit containing a black pigment onto a glass plate by screen printing or the like, and then firing the paste, but is not limited thereto. The shielding layer 18 can be formed, for example, by applying an organic ink containing a black or dark color pigment onto a glass plate by screen printing or the like, and then drying the ink. The shielding layer 18 can be a colored intermediate film or colored film having light-shielding properties, or a combination of a colored intermediate film and a colored ceramic layer. The colored film can be integrated with an infrared reflective film or the like. This shielding layer 18 can suppress deterioration of resin such as urethane that holds the periphery of the windshield 10 to the vehicle body due to ultraviolet rays.

[0027] 2 illustrates the windshield 10 having the shielding layer 18 formed on the vehicle interior surface of the glass plate 12, but the shielding layer 18 may be formed on at least one of the glass plates 12, 14. The surface on which the shielding layer 18 is formed is preferably the vehicle interior surface of the glass plates 12, 14. The shielding layer 18 may be provided around the entire periphery of the windshield 10, or may be formed on only a portion of the edge of the windshield 10.

[0028] Thermoplastic resins are often used for the intermediate film 16, such as plasticized polyvinyl acetal resins, plasticized polyvinyl chloride resins, saturated polyester resins, plasticized saturated polyester resins, polyurethane resins, plasticized polyurethane resins, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins (hereinafter also referred to as "Ethylene vinyl acetate: EVA"), ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer resins, and other thermoplastic resins that have traditionally been used for this type of application.

[0029] Among these, plasticized polyvinyl acetal resins are preferably used because they provide a good balance of various properties such as transparency, weather resistance, strength, adhesive strength, penetration resistance, impact energy absorption, moisture resistance, heat insulation, and sound insulation. These thermoplastic resins may be used alone or in combination of two or more. The term "plasticized" in the plasticized polyvinyl acetal resins mentioned above means that the resin is plasticized by adding a plasticizer. The same applies to other plasticized resins.

[0030] Examples of polyvinyl acetal resins include polyvinyl formal resins obtained by reacting polyvinyl alcohol (hereinafter, also referred to as "polyvinyl alcohol: PVA") with formaldehyde, polyvinyl acetal resins in the narrow sense obtained by reacting PVA with acetaldehyde, and polyvinyl butyral resins (hereinafter, also referred to as "poly vinyl butyral: PVB") obtained by reacting PVA with n-butylaldehyde. In particular, PVB is preferable because it has an excellent balance of various properties such as transparency, weather resistance, strength, adhesive strength, penetration resistance, impact energy absorption, moisture resistance, heat insulation, and sound insulation. These polyvinyl acetal resins may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds. However, the material forming the intermediate film 16 is not limited to a thermoplastic resin.

[0031] The glass sheets 12, 14 are joined by heating and pressing at a temperature at which the interlayer 16 softens. For example, when a PVB film is used as the interlayer 16, an autoclave is used, the heating temperature is preferably about 130° C., and the pressure is preferably about 1 MPa. When an EVA film is used, the heating temperature is preferably about 90° C., and the pressure is preferably about 1 MPa. The manufacturing method of laminated glass using the above-mentioned films is well known, so a description thereof will be omitted here.

[0032] The thickness of the intermediate film 16 is preferably 0.5 mm or more and 3.0 mm or less. When the thickness of the intermediate film 16 is 0.5 mm or more, it is possible to ensure the necessary penetration resistance of the windshield 10. Furthermore, when the thickness of the intermediate film 16 is 3 mm or less, it is possible to reduce the weight and improve the handling properties.

[0033] The intermediate film 16 may have an area having a sound insulation function, an infrared shielding function, an ultraviolet shielding function, a shade band (a function for reducing visible light transmittance), etc. The intermediate film 16 may have two or more layers. For example, when the intermediate film 16 is made up of three layers and the hardness of the central layer is lower than the hardness of the layers on both sides, the sound insulation property is improved. The intermediate film 16 may have a wedge-shaped cross section whose thickness increases from the lower edge to the upper edge of the windshield when the windshield 10 is attached to the vehicle.

[0034] 3 is an enlarged front view of the upper central portion (portion A) of the windshield 10 shown in FIG. 1. In FIG. 3, a pair of bus bars 22, 24, a part of the conductor 26 shown by a thick line, and rectangular adhesive regions 27A, 27B, 27C, 27D, 27E, 27F shown in a meshed or hatched pattern are shown superimposed on the shielding layer 18. The bus bars 22, 24, the conductor 26, and the adhesive regions 27A to 27F will be described later. Different adhesives may be used for these adhesive regions. For example, a main adhesive (a known adhesive such as an acrylic resin-based, urethane resin-based, or epoxy resin-based adhesive) may be used for the adhesive regions 27A, 27C, 27D, and 27E shown by hatching, and a temporary double-sided tape (or a hot melt adhesive) may be used for the adhesive regions 27B and 27E shown by mesh pattern to temporarily hold the components until the main adhesive hardens and to ensure the adhesive layer (thickness) of the main adhesive.

[0035] As shown in FIG. 3, the on-board camera 20 shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 3 is mounted on the inside of the windshield 10 in the upper center part that does not obstruct the view of the passengers of the vehicle, and an information transmission and reception area 28 is provided in the area facing the on-board camera 20. This information transmission and reception area 28 is configured by opening a part of the shielding layer 18, for example, in a trapezoidal shape. This allows the on-board camera 20 to capture the view in front of the vehicle through the transparent information transmission and reception area 28. Here, the on-board camera 20 is an example of the information communication device of the present invention. That is, the information communication device can transmit and / or receive information through the windshield 10. In the illustrated embodiment, the information transmission and reception area 28 is configured to be surrounded by the shielding layer 18 all around, but may be configured to be surrounded by the shielding layer 18 at least in part. The visible light transmittance of the information transmission and reception area 28 is preferably 70% or more in order to obtain a good image by the on-board camera 20.

[0036] FIG. 4 is an electrical circuit diagram for supplying electrical current to electrical conductor 26.

[0037] As shown in FIG. 4, the conductor 26 has a heat generating section 30 capable of heating the information transmission / reception area 28, a lead section 32 connecting a first end 30A of the heat generating section 30 to the positive bus bar 22, and a lead section 34 connecting a second end 30B of the heat generating section 30 to the negative bus bar 24. The bus bars 22 and 24 function as the power supply section of the present invention. The conductor 26 is, for example, a conductive wire, and the heat generating section 30 is, for example, a heating wire. When the conductor 26 is a conductive wire, the material constituting the conductor 26 may be formed by firing a conductive silver paste containing silver powder and glass frit. The components of the conductive silver paste are, for example, 60 to 90% silver powder, 1 to 10% glass powder, 5 to 30% inorganic additive, and an organic binder and an organic solvent added thereto, as solid contents. The average particle diameter of the silver powder contained in the silver paste is preferably 0.1 to 10 μm. The thickness of the conductor 26 is preferably 5 to 20 μm. When the conductor 26 is a conductive wire, the width of the conductive wire is preferably 0.1 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less, and more preferably 0.15 to 0.35 mm. The lead portions 32, 34 are, for example, lead wires.

[0038] The bus bars 22, 24 and the conductor 26 are formed on the interior surface of the windshield 10. For example, they are formed on the interior surface of the glass sheet 12 or the interior surface of the glass sheet 14.

[0039] The heat generating section 30 is folded back horizontally at multiple locations spaced apart in the vertical direction, and is disposed so as to horizontally cross the information transmitting and receiving area 28. As described above, the heat generating section 30 has the function of heating the information transmitting and receiving area 28, but the lead sections 32, 34 are sections that supply current to the heat generating section 30 and do not contribute to heating the information transmitting and receiving area 28. The lead sections 32, 34 can be formed from the same conductive silver paste as the heat generating section 30.

[0040] Regarding bus bars 22, 24, bus bar 22 is connected to a positive terminal 38A of battery 38 via wiring 36, and bus bar 24 is connected to a negative terminal 38B of battery 38 via wiring 40. Battery 38 functions as a power source for the present invention.

[0041] Therefore, the windshield 10 of the embodiment includes an on-board camera 20 mounted on the inside of the vehicle, a conductor 26, and wiring 36, 40 that connects the conductor 26 to a battery 38. The conductor 26 has a heat generating portion 30 that heats an information transmitting / receiving area 28 through which the on-board camera 20 captures an image of the scenery outside the vehicle through the windshield 10.

[0042] According to the windshield 10 configured as described above, when a current is supplied from the battery 38 to the heating unit 30 via the wiring 36, 40, etc., the heating unit 30 generates heat, and the heat generated by the heating unit 30 warms the information transmission / reception area 28 of the windshield 10, removing any fogging or freezing on the surface of the information transmission / reception area 28. This heating unit 30 ensures that the on-board camera 20 can take good images.

[0043] Here, the windshield 10 of the embodiment is provided with an electric resistor 50 (see Figs. 4 to 5 and Figs. 7 to 10) between the heat generating portion 30 and the battery 38. This electric resistor 50 has a resistance value equivalent to the resistance value of the "extra wire of the heat generating portion arranged outside the information transmission / reception area 28" described above. In other words, when adjusting the current flowing through the heat generating portion 30, the windshield 10 of the embodiment adjusts the current flowing through the heat generating portion 30 by providing the electric resistor 50, rather than adjusting the current by adding extra wire to the heat generating portion 30 arranged outside the information transmission / reception area 28. This makes it possible to shorten the extra wire of the heat generating portion 30 arranged outside the information transmission / reception area 28, thereby suppressing an increase in the area of the shielding layer 18 caused by the extra wire. Therefore, the windshield 10 of the embodiment having the anti-fogging function can ensure good visibility for the passengers of the automobile. Furthermore, even if the excess wire arranged outside the information transmission / reception area 28 generates heat in the same way as the heating section 30, not only will it not contribute to heating the information transmission / reception area 28, but there is also no risk of unnecessarily heating the windshield 10 locally or heating the information communication device itself, such as the vehicle-mounted camera 20, or a bracket for fixing the information communication device to the windshield 10.

[0044] Below, we will explain several examples of the placement of the electrical resistor 50. In the following examples, the electrical resistor 50 is provided on the wiring 36 side, but the electrical resistor 50 may be provided on the wiring 40 side.

[0045] <Example 1> FIG. 4 is an electric circuit diagram showing a first example of an arrangement of the electric resistors 50, and FIG. 5 is a configuration diagram corresponding to the electric circuit diagram shown in FIG.

[0046] 4 and 5, the wiring 36 has a first wiring 52 and a second wiring 54. A terminal 56 electrically connected to the bus bar 22 is provided at a first end of the first wiring 52, and a first connector 58 is provided at a second end of the first wiring 52. Meanwhile, a connection part 60 electrically connected to the battery 38 is provided at a first end of the second wiring 54, and a second connector 62 electrically connected to the first connector 58 is provided at a second end of the second wiring 54. The electrical resistor 50 is disposed in the first connector 58.

[0047] As described above, the electric current flowing through the heat generating unit 30 can be adjusted by disposing the electric resistor 50 in the first connector 58. In addition, the excess wire disposed in the heat generating unit 30 other than the information transmission / reception area 28 can be shortened, so that the increase in the area of the shielding layer 18 caused by the excess wire can be suppressed. Furthermore, since there is no need to connect the electric resistor 50 to the windshield 10, the electric current can be adjusted simply by connecting the first connector 58 in which the electric resistor 50 is disposed to the second connector 62, which is preferable because it simplifies the connection work with the battery 38. Therefore, by adopting the first example, it is possible to provide a windshield 10 that can ensure good visibility for the passengers of the automobile.

[0048] Here, a description will be given of an example of the first wiring 52. FIG.

[0049] As shown in Fig. 6, the first wiring 52 is coupled to the first wiring 64 on the wiring 40 (see Fig. 4) side, and the two first wirings 52, 64 are tied together with a cable tie 66 and connected to a harness 68. The harness 68 is provided with a first connector 58 and a first connector 70 on the wiring 40 (see Fig. 4) side. A terminal 72 is provided at a first end of the first wiring 64, which is electrically connected to the bus bar 24 (see Fig. 4). The first wirings 52, 64 shown in Fig. 6 are members that are connected to the windshield 10 side and are handled integrally with the windshield 10.

[0050] 4 and 5, an example in which the electrical resistor 50 is disposed in the first connector 58 has been described, but the electrical resistor 50 may be disposed in the second connector 62 as shown in a mesh shape in FIG. 4. That is, it is sufficient that the electrical resistor 50 is disposed in at least one of the first connector 58 and the second connector 62. In addition, in FIG. 4, reference numeral 74 denotes a second wiring on the wiring 40 side, and reference numeral 76 denotes a second connector on the wiring 40 side.

[0051] <Second Example> Fig. 7 is a configuration diagram showing a second example of the arrangement of the electrical resistors 50. Note that the same or similar members as those in the first example shown in Figs. 4 and 5 will be described with the same reference numerals.

[0052] 7, the wiring 36 has a terminal 56 as a connector electrically connected to the bus bar 22 at a first end, and a connection part 60 (see FIG. 4) electrically connected to the battery 38 (see FIG. 4) at a second end. The electrical resistor 50 is disposed at the terminal 56.

[0053] As described above, the electric current flowing through the heat generating portion 30 can be adjusted by disposing the electric resistor 50 on the terminal 56. In addition, the excess wire disposed in the heat generating portion 30 other than the information transmission / reception region 28 can be shortened, so that an increase in the area of the shielding layer 18 caused by the excess wire can be suppressed. Furthermore, since there is no need to connect the electric resistor 50 to the windshield 10, the current can be adjusted simply by connecting the terminal 56 on which the electric resistor 50 is disposed to the bus bar 22, which is preferable because it simplifies the connection work with the battery 38. Therefore, by adopting the second example, it is possible to provide a windshield 10 that can ensure good visibility for passengers in the vehicle.

[0054] In the second example shown in FIG. 7, an example of use in the wiring 36 including the first wiring 52 and the second wiring 54 has been described, but the wiring 36 consisting of a single wiring may also be used.

[0055] <Example 3> Fig. 8 is a configuration diagram showing a third example of the arrangement of the electrical resistors 50. Note that the same or similar members as those in the first example shown in Figs. 4 and 5 will be described with the same reference numerals.

[0056] As shown in FIG. 8, the electrical resistor 50 is disposed on the first wiring 52.

[0057] As described above, even if the electrical resistor 50 is disposed in the first wiring 52, it is possible to provide a windshield 10 capable of ensuring good visibility for vehicle occupants, as in the first and second examples. The same is true if the electrical resistor 50 is disposed in the second wiring 54. In addition, in the third example shown in Fig. 8, an example of use in the wiring 36 including the first wiring 52 and the second wiring 54 has been described, but the wiring 36 consisting of a single wire can also be used.

[0058] <Example 4> FIG. 9 is an electric circuit diagram showing a fourth example of the arrangement of the electric resistors 50, and FIG. 10 is a configuration diagram corresponding to the electric circuit diagram shown in FIG.

[0059] 9 and 10, an electric resistor 50 is disposed between the heat generating portion 30 and the bus bar 22. Specifically, the electric resistor 50 is disposed in a part of the lead portion 32. When the electric resistor 50 is disposed on the surface of the windshield 10, the lead portion 32 and the electric resistor 50 are preferably connected with lead-free solder. When the electric resistor 50 is disposed on the surface of the windshield 10, the electric resistor 50 is preferably covered with a silicone resin, an epoxy resin, a urethane resin, or the like to prevent moisture from coming into contact with the electric resistor 50.

[0060] As described above, even if the electrical resistor 50 is disposed on the lead portion 32, it is possible to provide a windshield 10 capable of ensuring good visibility for vehicle occupants, as in the first to third examples. In addition, in the fourth example shown in Figures 9 and 10, an example of use has been described for the wiring 36 including the first wiring 52 and the second wiring 54, but the wiring 36 consisting of a single wire can also be used.

[0061] The above are examples of the arrangement of the electric resistor 50, but the arrangement is not limited to these examples. In other words, it is sufficient that the electric resistor 50 is arranged between the heat generating portion 30 and the battery 38.

[0062] The electrical resistor 50 shown in the first to fourth examples may be a fixed resistor, a semi-fixed resistor, or a variable resistor. However, it is preferable to adopt a fixed resistor whose resistance value does not fluctuate, rather than a semi-fixed resistor or a variable resistor whose resistance value may fluctuate due to vibration of the vehicle. As the fixed resistor, any fixed resistor such as a lead type, a surface mount type, or a cement resistor may be adopted.

[0063] In addition, in the arrangement examples of the electrical resistor 50 shown in the first to fourth examples, the electrical resistor 50 is connected in series between the heat generating section 30 and the battery 38, but as shown in FIG. 11, the electrical resistor 50 may be connected in parallel between the heat generating section 30 and the battery 38.

[0064] Next, the windshield 10 of the embodiment shown in Figs. 3 and 4 will be compared with a windshield equipped with a heating portion having an extra wire.

[0065] Fig. 12 is an explanatory diagram of the main parts of a windshield 80 equipped with a heat generating portion 30 having an extra wire 82 arranged outside the information transmitting / receiving area 28. Fig. 13 is an electrical circuit diagram of the windshield 80 shown in Fig. 12. In explaining the windshield 80 shown in Figs. 12 and 13, the same or similar members as those in the windshield 10 of the embodiment shown in Figs. 3 and 4 are described with the same reference numerals.

[0066] First, the bonding regions 27A to 27F shown in Figures 3 and 12 will be described. Of these, bonding regions 27A to 27E are regions formed for bonding a camera bracket 84, shown by thin lines in Figures 3 and 12, to the windshield 10 (glass plate 14). Bonding region 27F is a region formed for bonding a mirror base 86 for the inner mirror, shown by thin lines in Figures 3 and 12, to the windshield 10 (glass plate 14).

[0067] Next, the excess wire 82 shown in Fig. 12 will be described with reference to the heat generating portion 30 in Fig. 3. This excess wire 82 is arranged to bypass the adhesive regions 27C, 27D, 27E, and 27F, and is connected to the second end 30B of the heat generating portion 30 and the first end 34A of the lead portion 34. For this reason, as shown in Fig. 12 and Fig. 13, the arrangement area 88 of the excess wire 82 relative to the windshield 80 is necessarily wide, and if an attempt is made to hide the arrangement area 88 with the shielding layer 18, the area of the shielding layer 18 becomes wide, resulting in a problem of narrowing the field of view of the vehicle occupants.

[0068] In contrast to such a windshield 80, the windshield 10 of the embodiment shown in Figure 3 has an electrical resistor 50 (see Figures 4 to 10) having a resistance value equivalent to that of the excess wire 82 arranged between the heating portion 30 and the battery 38, thereby suppressing the increase in area of the shielding layer 18 caused by the excess wire 82, and therefore providing a windshield 10 that can ensure good visibility for vehicle occupants.

[0069] Next, modified examples of the conductor will be described.

[0070] The conductor 26 shown in Fig. 3 is a conductive wire, and is formed, for example, by printing a conductive silver paste on the glass plate 12 or the glass plate 14. As a modified example, as shown in a first example shown in Figs. 14A and B and a second example shown in Figs. 15A and B, a sheet-like heating element 94, 96 having a sheet-like member 90 provided with a plurality of heating wires 92 can be used as the conductor 26. In the first example shown in Figs. 14A and B and the second example shown in Figs. 15A and B, too, the surplus wires arranged in the heating unit 30 other than the information transmission / reception region 28 can be shortened by appropriately applying the arrangement examples of the electrical resistors shown in the first to fourth examples.

[0071] <About the sheet-shaped heating element 94> 14A, a front view of the sheet-shaped heating element 94 is provided with bus bars 98, 100 on both the left and right sides of the sheet-shaped member 90, and a plurality of heating wires 92 connected to the bus bars 98, 100 are arranged horizontally at intervals in the vertical direction. The heating wires 92 are made of, for example, copper.

[0072] <About the sheet-shaped heating element 96> As shown in the front view of the sheet-shaped heating element 96 in FIG. 15A, bus bars 102, 104 are provided on both the upper and lower sides of the sheet-shaped member 90 along the horizontal direction, and the multiple hot wires 92 connected to the bus bars 102, 104 are arranged along the vertical direction at intervals in the horizontal direction. The multiple hot wires 92 connected to the bus bars 102, 104 may be thin wires patterned in a mesh shape. When the hot wires 92 are thin wires patterned in a mesh shape, the material for forming the hot wires 92 may be, for example, gold, silver, copper, platinum, aluminum, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, palladium, indium, tungsten, and one or more alloys thereof. The bus bars 102, 104 may be transparent conductive films. When the bus bars 102, 104 are transparent conductive films, examples of the transparent conductive films include tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) films and tin oxide films.

[0073] The positioning positions of the above-mentioned sheet-shaped heating elements 94, 96 may be any surface other than the exterior side of the glass plate 12, for example, the interior side of the glass plate 12, the exterior side of the glass plate 14, or the interior side of the glass plate 14, as shown in the cross-sectional views of Figures 14B and 15B.

[0074] Although the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above examples, and some improvements or modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. The window glass for an automobile according to the present invention can also be applied to window glass for railway vehicles or ships other than automobiles.
