[0009] In the following description, the direction in which the Z axis shown in each figure extends is the up-down direction, the side in which the Z axis arrow points (+Z side) is called the "upper side", and the opposite side to the side in which the Z axis arrow points (-Z side) is called the "lower side". The central axis J1 shown in the following figures is a virtual axis extending parallel to the Z axis. Unless otherwise specified, the direction parallel to the axial direction of the central axis J1, i.e., the Z axis direction, is simply called the "axial direction", the radial direction centered on the central axis J1 is simply called the "radial direction", and the circumferential direction centered on the central axis J1 is simply called the "circumferential direction". Among the radial directions, the direction approaching the central axis J1 is called the radial inner side, and the direction away from the central axis J1 is called the radial outer side. In this embodiment, the "parallel direction" includes a direction that is approximately parallel, and the "orthogonal direction" includes a direction that is approximately orthogonal. In this embodiment, the upper side corresponds to the "one axial side", and the lower side corresponds to the "other axial side".
[0010] Note that the terms "upper side," "upper side," and "lower side" are simply names used to describe the relative positional relationship of each part, and the actual positional relationship may be a positional relationship other than the positional relationship indicated by these names.
[0011] A pump 10 of this embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is, for example, an electric pump mounted on a vehicle. The pump 10 pumps a fluid inside the vehicle. The fluid pumped by the pump 10 is, for example, oil. The oil is, for example, ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid). As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the pump 10 of this embodiment includes a motor 20, a pump mechanism 30, a housing 40, a circuit board 50, a heat dissipation material 70, and a cover 60.
[0012] 2, in this embodiment, the motor 20, the pump mechanism 30, and the circuit board 50 are accommodated in a housing 40. The housing 40 has a housing main body portion 41, a flange portion 42, and a mounting surface 48.
[0013] The housing body 41 has a motor housing 15, a pump housing 16, a base housing 17, and a pump cover 13. In this embodiment, the motor housing 15, the pump housing 16, and the base housing 17 are part of a single, identical member.
[0014] In this embodiment, the motor housing 15 is cylindrical and extends in the axial direction. The motor housing 15 is disposed between the pump housing 16 and the base housing 17 in the axial direction. The motor housing 15 has a motor accommodating recess 41a that opens upward and downward. The motor 20 is accommodated radially inside the motor accommodating recess 41a.
[0015] The pump housing 16 is connected to the lower side of the motor housing 15. The pump housing 16 has a pump accommodating recess 41e which is a recess that opens to the lower side. The second central axis J2 and the central axis J1 extend parallel to each other.
[0017] The protrusion 44 has an inlet 44a. The inlet 44a is connected to the internal space of the pump accommodating recess 41e. The inlet 44a is configured as a through hole that penetrates the pump cover 13 in the axial direction. The inlet 44a allows oil to flow into the pump mechanism 30. In other words, the pump mechanism 30 draws oil from outside the device through the inlet 44a. The pump cover 13 includes an outlet (not shown). The pump mechanism 30 allows the oil to flow out from the outlet.
[0018] The flange portion 42 extends radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the housing main body 41. A plurality of flange portions 42 are provided at intervals from one another in the circumferential direction. The flange portion 42 has an end face 42a facing downward and a mounting hole 42h. The end face 42a is flat and extends in a direction perpendicular to the central axis J1. The end face 42a contacts a target attachment portion of the pump 10. The mounting hole 42h passes through the flange portion 42 in the axial direction. The mounting hole 42h is disposed in each flange portion 42. A screw member (not shown) is inserted into the mounting hole 42h to fix the pump 10 to a target attachment portion.
[0019] 2, the housing body 41 has a through hole 41c that axially connects the interior of the motor accommodating recess 41a and the interior of the pump accommodating recess 41e. An oil seal 43 is held in the through hole 41c to seal between the inner circumferential surface of the through hole 41c and the outer circumferential surface of the shaft 22, which will be described later.
[0020] The motor 20 is accommodated in the motor accommodating recess 41a. The motor 20 includes a rotor portion 21 having a shaft 22 extending along a central axis J1, and a stator portion 26.
[0021] The rotor portion 21 rotates about a central axis J1. The shaft 22 is rotatable around the central axis J1. A lower end of the shaft 22 protrudes into the pump accommodating recess 41e through the through hole 41c and is connected to the pump mechanism 30. The shaft 22 is rotatably supported by a bearing (not shown), such as a plain bearing, provided between the through hole 41c and the pump accommodating recess 41e. A bearing supporting the shaft 22 may be provided in the pump housing 16. An upper end of the shaft 22 may be held by a bearing (not shown).
[0022] Rotor core 23 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of shaft 22. Rotor core 23 is annular about central axis J1. Rotor core 23 is cylindrical and extends in the axial direction. Rotor core 23 is formed, for example, by stacking a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates in the axial direction.
[0023] The stator portion 26 is disposed radially outside the rotor portion 21 and faces the rotor portion 21 with a radial gap therebetween. In other words, the stator portion 26 faces the rotor portion 21 in the radial direction. The stator portion 26 surrounds the rotor portion 21 from the radially outside over the entire circumferential circumference. The stator portion 26 has a stator core 27 and a plurality of coils 29.
[0024] The stator core 27 is annular about the central axis J1. The stator core 27 surrounds the rotor portion 21 from the radial outside. The stator core 27 is disposed radially outside the rotor portion 21 and faces the rotor portion 21 with a radial gap therebetween. The stator core 27 is formed, for example, by stacking a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates in the axial direction.
[0025] The stator core 27 has a coil 29. The coil 29 is attached to the stator core via an insulator (not shown). The coil 29 has a lead-out portion 29c connected to a circuit board 50. The lead-out portion 29c is drawn out upward from the coil 29 and connected to the circuit board 50 via a coil wire guide 90 (described later).
[0026] The pump mechanism 30 is driven by the motor 20. The pump mechanism 30 is disposed below the stator portion 26. The pump mechanism 30 is connected to the rotor portion 21. In this embodiment, the pump mechanism 30 has a trochoid pump structure. The pump mechanism 30 has an inner rotor 30a and an outer rotor 30b located radially outside the inner rotor 30a. The inner rotor 30a and the outer rotor 30b are pump gears and mesh with each other. The inner rotor 30a and the outer rotor 30b each have a trochoid tooth profile. The inner rotor 30a is fixed to the end of the shaft 22 on the other axial side. In this manner, the pump mechanism 30 is driven by the inner rotor 30a being rotated together with the shaft 22.
[0027] The board housing 17 is located at the upper end of the housing main body 41. The board housing 17 is cylindrical and centered on the central axis J1. The board housing 17 has an accommodating recess 41k consisting of a recess that opens at least upward. A board support surface 17g is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the accommodating recess 41k. A plurality of board support surfaces 17g are provided at intervals from each other in the circumferential direction. The board support surface 17g is perpendicular to the axial direction and faces downward. The circuit board 50 is accommodated in the accommodating recess 41k of the board housing 17 by being supported by the board support surface 17g.
[0028] A connector portion 80 is provided on the upper side of the housing 40. The connector portion 80 is provided on a radially outer surface of the board housing 17. The connector portion 80 protrudes radially outward from the board housing 17. The connector portion 80 is connected to the circuit board 50, and for example, an external power supply is connected thereto. This allows the circuit board 50 to supply power, supplied from the connector portion 80, to the stator portion 26.
[0029] The circuit board 50 of the present embodiment includes a base material 55 , an inverter unit 52 , a processor 53 , a capacitor 57 , and an inductor 58 . The circuit board 50 is plate-shaped with its plate surface facing the axial direction. The circuit board 50 is located on one axial side of the motor 20. The circuit board 50 is supported from the other axial side by a plurality of board support surfaces 17g, and is fixed to each of the plurality of board support surfaces 17g by screws. In this way, the circuit board 50 is supported by the housing 40. Tips of lead wire portions 29c of the coils 29 constituting the stator portion 26 are electrically connected to the circuit board 50.
[0030] A coil wire guide 90 is provided below the circuit board 50. The coil wire guide 90 holds the lead-out wire portion 29c extending from the coil 29 to one side in the axial direction. The coil wire guide 90 is annular about the central axis J1. The coil wire guide 90 is made of an insulating resin material.
[0031] The processor 53 and the inverter unit 52 are electrically connected to the motor 20. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the inverter unit 52 is attached to a base material 55 of the circuit board 50. In this embodiment, the inverter unit 52 is attached to a lower surface 55b on the other axial side of the base material 55. The inverter unit 52 includes a plurality of FETs 52a. The FETs 52a are, for example, field effect transistors. The inverter unit 52 is electrically connected to the stator unit 26 via the lead wire portion 29c of the coil 29 connected to the circuit board 50.
[0032] The processor 53 is electrically connected to the inverter unit 52. The processor 53 is attached to the base material 55 of the circuit board 50. In this embodiment, the processor 53 is attached to a position on the lower surface 55b of the base material 55 different from that of the inverter unit 52. The processor 53 controls the supply of electricity to the inverter unit 52.
[0033] The processor 53 and the inverter unit 52 are disposed on one side in the Y direction (-Y side) with respect to the central axis J1. The processor 53 is disposed at a position closer to the central axis J1 in the Y direction than the inverter unit 52. The processor 53 is disposed on the -X side of the central axis J1 in the direction along the X axis. When viewed from the direction along the Z axis, the plane area of the processor 53 is larger than the plane area of the inverter unit 52.
[0034] On the other hand, the capacitor 57 and the inductor 58 are disposed on the other side in the Y direction (+Y side) with respect to the central axis J1. The capacitor 57 is an electronic component attached to an upper surface 55a on one axial side of the base material 55. The capacitor 57 has a cylindrical shape that protrudes upward from the circuit board 50. The capacitor 57 is electrically connected to the inverter unit 52 via the circuit board 50.
[0035] Inductor 58 is attached to upper surface 55a of base material 55. Inductor 58 is used to boost the voltage of power supplied from an external source to pump 10. Inductor 58 is electrically connected to inverter unit 52 via circuit board 50. As a result, capacitor 57 and inductor 58 are electrically connected to stator unit 26 via circuit board 50, inverter unit 52, and lead-out line portion 29c.
[0036] Compared with inductor 58, capacitor 57 has a larger protruding dimension upward (to one axial side) from circuit board 50. In other words, capacitor 57 is a component that is taller than inductor 58. An upper tip surface 57t of capacitor 57 is disposed near mounting surface 48 in the axial direction.
[0037] The heat dissipation material 70 is provided on the upper side (one axial side) of the circuit board 50. The heat dissipation material 70 is in a sheet shape along an XY plane perpendicular to the axial direction, and covers at least a portion of the circuit board 50. In this embodiment, the heat dissipation material 70 includes a material having high thermal conductivity, such as an aluminum-based material or a copper-based material. The heat dissipation material 70 is provided on an upper surface 55a of a base material 55 of the circuit board 50.
[0038] In this embodiment, the inverter unit 52 and the processor 53 are heat-generating members that generate heat when the pump is driven. The heat dissipation material 70, the inverter unit 52, and the processor 53 are disposed on opposite sides of the circuit board 50 in the axial direction. The heat dissipation material 70 is provided at a position overlapping the inverter unit 52 and the processor 53, which are heat-generating components mounted on the circuit board 50, when viewed from the axial direction. In this embodiment, the heat dissipation material 70 includes a first heat dissipation member 71 and a second heat dissipation member 72. The first heat dissipation member 71 has a rectangular shape when viewed from the axial direction. The first heat dissipation member 71 is provided at a position overlapping at least a portion of the FETs 52a when viewed from the axial direction. The second heat dissipation member 72 has a square shape smaller than the first heat dissipation member 71 when viewed from the axial direction. The second heat dissipation member 72 is provided at a position overlapping at least a portion of the processor 53 when viewed from the axial direction. The heat dissipation material 70 is in close contact with the upper surface 55a of the base material 55 of the circuit board 50. The heat dissipation material 70 is fixed to the base material 55 by, for example, grease, an adhesive, or the like.
[0039] The cover 60 is disposed on the upper side of the housing 40. The cover 60 closes the accommodating recess 41k of the board housing 17 from above. In this embodiment, the cover 60 is fixed to a mounting surface 48 located at the upper end of the housing 40. In this embodiment, the mounting surface 48 is provided at the upper end of the board housing 17. The mounting surface 48 has an annular shape that is continuous in the circumferential direction radially outside the accommodating recess 41k when viewed in the axial direction.
[0040] 1, 2 and 4, the cover 60 is formed by pressing a metal plate into a predetermined shape as shown below. The cover 60 has a fixing portion 61, a recessed portion 62, a protruding portion 63, a first rib 64, and a second rib 65. When viewed in the axial direction, the cover 60 has an outer shape that matches the upper end portion of the housing main body 41 (substrate housing 17).
[0041] The fixing portion 61 is provided continuously in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential edge portion of the cover 60. The fixing portion 61 is fixed to the mounting surface 48 of the housing 40 by a plurality of bolts 68. In this manner, the cover 60 is fixed to the mounting surface 48 of the board housing 17, and closes the accommodating recess 41k from above.
[0042] The recess 62 of the cover 60 is located radially inside of the fixed portion 61. The recess 62 is recessed downward (the other axial side) with respect to the fixed portion 61. In the present embodiment, the recess 62 is located on one side in the Y direction (-Y side) with respect to the central axis J1 in a state in which the cover 60 is attached to the mounting surface 48.
[0043] The recess 62 has a bottom surface 62b, an inclined surface 62s, and a connecting inclined surface 62j. The bottom surface 62b is a surface perpendicular to the axial direction. The lower surface of the bottom surface 62b contacts the heat dissipation material 70. The inclined surface 62s is provided on the radially outer side of the bottom surface 62b. The inclined surface 62s inclines upward from the bottom surface 62b toward the radially outer side, and is connected to the fixing portion 61. The connecting inclined surface 62j is a surface provided in a portion adjacent to the protrusion 63. The connecting inclined surface 62j is a surface that inclines upward from the bottom surface 62b toward the protrusion 63.
[0044] The protrusion 63 is provided on the radially inner side of the fixed portion 61 at a position different from the recessed portion 62. In the present embodiment, the protrusion 63 is located on the other side in the Y direction (+Y side) with respect to the central axis J1 in a state in which the cover 60 is attached to the mounting surface 48. The protrusion 63 protrudes upward with respect to the fixed portion 61. The protrusion 63 has a tip surface 63t and an inclined surface 63s.
[0045] The tip surface 63t is a surface perpendicular to the axial direction. The inclined surface 63s is provided on the radially outer side of the tip surface 63t. The inclined surface 63s is inclined downward from the tip surface 63t toward the radially outer side and is connected to the fixing portion 61.
[0046] The protrusion 63 is provided so as to cover the capacitor 57 of the circuit board 50. That is, the capacitor 57 is provided so as to overlap the protrusion 63 when viewed in the axial direction. In this embodiment, a tip surface 63t of the protrusion 63 is disposed between the capacitor 57 and the tip surface 63t and is spaced apart in the axial direction.
[0047] The first rib 64 is provided along the bottom surface 62b of the recess 62. In this embodiment, the tip surface of the first rib 64 is located below the fixing portion 61. That is, the cover 60 has a shape that does not allow the first rib 64 to protrude from inside the recess 62. The first rib 64 protrudes upward from the bottom surface 62b. The first rib 64 is provided in a curved surface shape having a predetermined curvature radius. The first rib 64 extends in a direction along the bottom surface 62b. In this embodiment, a plurality of first ribs 64 are provided. In this embodiment, the first rib 64 includes an inner rib 64A and an outer rib 64B. In this embodiment, the inner rib 64A is provided at three locations. Each inner rib 64A is provided on the bottom surface 62b on the connecting inclined surface 62j side. The inner rib 64A extends along the bottom surface 62b to the -Y side and is connected to the connecting inclined surface 62j.
[0048] At least a portion of the inner circumferential rib 64A is offset in a direction intersecting the axial direction with respect to the heat dissipation material 70 when viewed from the axial direction. In this embodiment, the inner circumferential rib 64A is disposed at a position not overlapping with the heat dissipation material 70 (the first heat dissipation member 71 and the second heat dissipation member 72) when viewed from the axial direction. The outer periphery rib 64B extends along the bottom surface 62b and is continuous with the inclined surface 62s. The outer periphery rib 64B is provided at a position corresponding to the wiring and electronic components protruding upward from the base material 55. By providing the outer periphery rib 64B, the cover 60 can prevent contact with the wiring and electronic components protruding upward from the base material 55.
[0049] The second rib 65 is provided on the tip surface 63t of the protrusion 63. The second rib 65 is recessed downward from the tip surface 63t and extends in a groove shape along the tip surface 63t. In this embodiment, the second ribs 65 are provided in, for example, three locations. The multiple second ribs 65 are aligned in the X direction when viewed from the axial direction, and are arranged at positions that do not interfere with the capacitor 57.
[0050] According to this embodiment, the cover 60 covering the accommodating recess 41k of the housing 40 is formed by pressing a metal plate, thereby making it possible to reduce the weight and cost of the part. By providing the recess 62 in the cover 60 made of such a metal plate, the strength of the cover 60 is increased compared to when the cover 60 is simply a flat plate. In addition, by providing the first rib 64 on the bottom surface 62b of the recess 62, the strength of the cover 60 is further increased. Furthermore, the recess 62 also functions to come into contact with the heat dissipation material 70, which also leads to simplification and weight reduction of the parts. In addition, the first rib 64 provided in the recess 62 increases the surface area of the cover 60, improving the heat dissipation performance. Therefore, according to this embodiment, the pump 10 can be made smaller and lighter while maintaining the heat dissipation performance.
[0051] According to the present embodiment, the heat dissipation material 70 is provided at a position where it at least partially overlaps with the inverter unit 52 and the processor 53 as heat generating components when viewed from the axial direction. This allows the heat generated from the inverter unit 52 and the processor 53 to be transferred to the recess 62 via the heat dissipation material 70, and the heat can be efficiently dissipated from the recess 62 via the entire cover 60.
[0052] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, by providing a convex portion 63 on the cover 60 and arranging the convex portion 63 and the capacitor 57 so that they overlap when viewed in the axial direction, it is possible to suppress interference between the cover 60 and components such as the capacitor 57 which protrude above the circuit board 50 and are tall. In addition, in this embodiment, by providing the second rib 65 on the protruding portion 63, the strength of the protruding portion 63 can be increased. In this embodiment, the second rib 65 is recessed from the tip surface 63t to the other axial side, which increases the surface area of the cover 60 and contributes to improving heat dissipation. Moreover, the second rib 65 is recessed from the tip surface 63t to the other axial side, which prevents the cover 60 from becoming large.
[0053] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, at least a part of the first rib 64 is provided offset in a direction intersecting the axial direction with respect to the heat dissipation material 70. This prevents the contact area between the bottom surface 62b of the recess 62 and the heat dissipation material 70 from being narrowed by the first rib 64, and suppresses a decrease in the efficiency of heat transfer from the heat dissipation material 70 to the recess 62.
[0054] Moreover, the cover 60 of the present embodiment has a structure in which the first rib 64 does not protrude from within the recess 62. This makes it possible to prevent the cover 60 from becoming large in size in the axial direction due to the provision of the first rib 64.
[0055] Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, each configuration and their combination in the embodiment is merely an example, and addition, omission, substitution, and other modifications of the configuration are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment.
[0056] For example, in the above embodiment, the cover 60 is provided with the protruding portion 63, but the present invention is not limited to this. A configuration may be adopted in which the cover 60 is provided with only the recessed portion 62 without providing the protruding portion 63. Furthermore, the shapes and numbers of recesses 62 and protrusions 63, and the shapes and numbers of first ribs 64 and second ribs 65 can also be changed as appropriate according to the arrangement of heat-generating components and the like provided on circuit board 50.
[0057] The use of the electric pump to which the present invention is applied is not particularly limited. The type of fluid delivered by the electric pump is not particularly limited and may be water, etc. The predetermined object to which the electric pump is attached may be any object. The electric pump may be mounted on equipment other than a vehicle. The electric pump may be disposed in any manner with respect to the vertical direction. The central axis of the motor of the electric pump may extend in a direction inclined with respect to the vertical direction without being perpendicular to the vertical direction, or may extend parallel to the vertical direction. Note that the configurations and methods described in this specification may be appropriately combined within a range that does not contradict each other. [Explanation of symbols]
