Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a rubber composition, a coating and an adhesive. [Background technology]
[0002] In the tire manufacturing process, the unvulcanized tread before it is attached to the tire body has its surface marked with its specifications, etc. An operator checks the markings, wraps the unvulcanized tread around the tire body, places it in a molding die, and then heats it to integrate the tread with the tire body through a vulcanization reaction to manufacture the tire.
[0003] For the marking, for example, paints in which pigments have been added to latex are used. Latex is an emulsion in which rubber is dispersed in the form of fine particles in water or an aqueous solution, and paints containing this latex are paints that have the flexibility to produce coating films that can follow the expansion and contraction of rubber (Patent Document 1). The flexibility of the latex makes it also used as an adhesive (Patent Document 2). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a paint and adhesive that have excellent drying properties. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] As a result of extensive investigations aimed at solving the above problems, the present inventors have found that the drying performance of a rubber composition can be improved by adding a specific metal soap, and have thus completed the present invention.

A metal soap shown in Table 1 was added to the prepared latex liquid to prepare a rubber composition. The drying performance of the prepared rubber compositions was evaluated by the following method. The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2. Table 3 shows the metal soaps used in the examples.
[0072] (Drying performance test) The prepared rubber composition was applied to a glass substrate to form a coating film with a wet thickness of 152 μm. The glass substrate coated with the rubber composition was stored in a storage cabinet at a temperature of 30°C and a humidity of 60%, and the coating film was touched with a fingertip to confirm its dryness. The time when the paint for evaluation no longer adhered to the fingertip was evaluated as the drying time. This test was performed a total of three times.
[0073] [Table 1]
[0074] [Table 2]
[0075] [Table 3]
[0076] When manganese soap 2, manganese soap 3, and manganese soap 4 were used, no lumps were formed in the composition even immediately after the preparation of the rubber composition, and smooth coating was possible.
[0077] The results in Tables 1 and 2 show that adding metal soap to the latex liquid results in faster drying performance.
